Because the film maker is being pretentious and trite... It makes it impossible to find any value in the architecture when you - the viewer - has to deal with an added layer of abstraction thru cliche, sloppy camerawork.
My friend Dana Levy used to own the Elliot House back in the ‘80s … it was his home and design studio and was a tad shabby … the renovation by Marmol-Raznor is really wonderful … I especially liked the small lighted frosted panels on either side of the windows, they had those long tube incandescent lights in them and were very cool looking at night … excellent house, one of Schindler’s best 👏🏼
