I think everyone forgets that these are all COVERS. How bummed would you be if they released an album entitled "black parade covers" and the whole thing just sounded like MCR with no differences throughout the whole thing?
I think they did this tribute because Escape The Fate was the winner of a music competition judged by My Chemical Romance (When Ronnie was still in the band) ((I would have liked to hear this song performed by Ronnie))
This just makes me appreciate Gerard Ways singing so much more, not to say this is bad but Gerard puts so much emotion and feeling into his singing its legendary.
Deus Ex Doppliz agreed id rather the band be creative and make it fit their style to give the song a fresh breath of life. i mean some covers of classic songs are often from different genres. Like Cake's cover of I will Survive, or Marilyn Manson's cover Sweet Dreams. new wave to industrial metal takes some talented musicianship to pull off, where as copy and pasting is lazy...
At least it isn't like Asking Alexandria's cover, which sounds _exactly_ like the original. At least ETF's singer has a different voice which gives a somwhat different feel.
for the people who don't like this well that's your opinion , but these bands got to privilege to cover these songs from some rock gods, and they put so much hard work and energy into these, to say thank you without having to say it. the bands who did this looked up and loved MCR when they were teenagers.
This is amazing. I've listened to this entire album and I have to say, MCR is one of my all time favorite bands and the bands who cover their songs did a great job. :) Their memories will carry on!
fairy boy ! They aren’t supposed to sound like the original, but don’t they have to do it justice? This one was good, but with some of the weaker covers, if someone were to listen to that first and not the original and decided they hated it, what if they decided they hated it because of the way it was presented by the cover artist? I personally think if I had listened to this before I listened to the original I would never want to listen to the original. I just don’t want people to be deterred because the cover doesn’t sound as good, or emotional. That’s the problem with these covers, they lack what makes MCR MCR, emotion. If they had emotion I’d be okay with it. But they don’t.
There is a reason why the songs are 'covers' they don't really have to resemble the original songs although we all want tht. I just somehow wish all the covers resembled the original songs though.
This is one of my personal favorites out of the tribute of The Black Parade. Craig did an amazing job on singing this cover. He has that voice to match a stereo (not in a mean way) but its original.
Escape the Fate and Ghost Towns covers were my fav ^-^ Also you guys need to remember bands have there own style and they do it there own way, don't diss there hard work they put into it. I liked all the covers, New Years Day did a great one to ❤️
ETF is a band screams a lot in their own songs. Honestly, the lack of screaming is pretty confusing, despite the fact that this is a really good cover.
Pagman as I just get done listening to The Dead Rabbitts, but well they don't scream in all their songs he's good at doing both so he probably wanted to stay true with this one.
Everybody hates when bands cover MCR but ETF did a hella rad job. I'm glad they didn't change anything. It takes away the originality of songs and in a way if feels like they're trying to make it their own in some way.
I thought they wouldn't do the yeah part at the beginning cuz I expect it to sound weird since it's not Gee, and I was right. Tho, I like this. It's pretty good.
The covers are beautiful but it can never be as wonderful as Gerard can. Even me, I sing like Gerard, I mean the accent and sings so violently gorgeous (different voice though, I'm a girl) but I can't be as good as he is. His voice is one of a kind.
Agreeed. The beginning was weak and so are the La La Las but I think the vocal style suited most of the song and they listened pretty closely to the nuance G used
we get it. Y’all don’t like the cover lmao. Just remember it’s NOT going to sound exactly like mcr. And tbh most of these aren’t even nearly as bad as y’all saying. They literally sound super similar with a different lead . If y’all that close minded then just say it 😂😭
Claudia Padilla It feels like they just came to their homes and told them to cover the songs on the spot. I was very disappointed, I expected much more out of these artists, these are some of my favorite groups
I almost forgot why I had forgotten about this band (EtF). The only thing that made them stand out in the whole emo/screamo landscape, was that crazy guy Radke. I think I'll revisit their first EP again...
This cover adds absolutely nothing to the song. I mean, they play it well and all, but the vocals are just terrible. I prefer my own singstar cover of this.
I kind of wish they had done something different. This is a straight copy of the original, which I guess fits the definition of a cover. I just think it's a wasted opportunity if youre recreating a song rather than interpreting it
I like their cancer cover, it just has a very different feel. Definitely prefer the original, of course, but I like it a lot. Mysticwolfmusic did a version mixing the two and it's pretty great.
I cannot believe that Blood isn't on this tribute. It's one of my favorites.
honestly.
agreed, blood was def one of the best
Silly, what is this blood you speak of? I’ve certainly never seen it. Hmm? Blood? (It was a hidden track lmao bad joke)
thank God it didn't because someone would have ruined it
JD Robison one less song ruined
I think everyone forgets that these are all COVERS. How bummed would you be if they released an album entitled "black parade covers" and the whole thing just sounded like MCR with no differences throughout the whole thing?
exactly
Joshua Sundae Brown people still complain if it sounds different
I'd be pretty happy tbh
yeah but they are still shit lol
Joshua Sundae Brown but nobody can make these songs sound as good as my chem. Nobody can top near perfection.
That "yeeeaaah" was weak as hell
The "YEAH" at the beginning was botched.
XxExtremeSamX I've seen your comments on like two of the other covers.... haha.
BloodWolf0916 I listened to all of them.
Seriously !
😂😂
Fax
im happy bands did this for my chemical romance
I think they did this tribute because Escape The Fate was the winner of a music competition judged by My Chemical Romance
(When Ronnie was still in the band)
((I would have liked to hear this song performed by Ronnie))
Fake
Ronald Muñoz it's just an opinion, but that's plausible
Ronnie ruins pretty much everything he touches, so
@@giraffescuddler that's not plausible at all sorry 😂 pure fantasy.
the LALALA part omg it sounds weird when its not gerard's voice
Iskra Dimitrijevic well it’s also not mcr playing the song so
This just makes me appreciate Gerard Ways singing so much more, not to say this is bad but Gerard puts so much emotion and feeling into his singing its legendary.
100% agree
the audio mixing on this entire project is complete trash
nailed the guitar solo
People are very judgemental over these covers. Personally I think that they are awesome and I'm happy that rock sound and the bands did the tribute
I know, right? None of them surpass the originals, but it's great to see the ten year aniversary of the Black Parade be celebrated that way.
It's nothing but a cashgrab
A bad cover is a bad cover 🤷🏼♂️
I love this song! ETF & MCR are the best!
your profile pic gives me life
Yeah!!!! ETF & MCR are the best. I love your profile picture.
The more Metalcore names just couldn't hack the symphonic, quirky passion but this song and band was a Perfect match
❤️ wow they did a great job on this cover!
Sounds closer to the original than the rest of the ones I've heard so far.
better than people complaining about how it doesnt "sound the same" and thats the point of a cover, to COVER the song
Chunk was my favorite thus far. Those guys are amazing
At least it isn't like Asking Alexandria's cover, which sounds _exactly_ like the original. At least ETF's singer has a different voice which gives a somwhat different feel.

i was gonna say this a while ago but they are COVERS of the black parade songs they aren't supposed to sound exactly like the original.

I actually really like this one, but the yell at the beginning was terrible. It came in late, and it was lacking in emotion.
The yea was perfectly on time, to the point where if the og is different than this, it's offtime.
Definitely lacked the emotions tho.
There is a reason why the songs are 'covers' they don't really have to resemble the original songs although we all want tht. I just somehow wish all the covers resembled the original songs though.
This could be a better cover if Craig put hardcore screamo
I love their covers, they need to do more, maybe a covers EP as a bonus disc for the next album, including this and Give Me Novacaine
per usual escape the fate is perfect
I appreciate the tribute as a massive mcr fan
This one is much better than the others
This is one of my personal favorites out of the tribute of The Black Parade. Craig did an amazing job on singing this cover. He has that voice to match a stereo (not in a mean way) but its original.
Escape the Fate and Ghost Towns covers were my fav ^-^

Literally just got back from their gig an they played this so it's the closest thing I'll ever come to seeing mcr live
This aged like milk, but in a good way.
dead, sleep and sharpest lives cover are the best in this album. I think? good job 😊
I clicked on this expecting to hear Ronnie since I don't know ETF much at all, but I'm not that disappointed. I kinda like it.
Wtf!its been a year since this tribute and i jusy found out about?! Wtf ! i amn ashamed to be a mcr fan at this point!
OH MY GOD I JUST FOUND THIS ALBUM KAND ME AND MY BEST FRIEND ARE SCREAMING AT EVERY LITTLE THING!!!! AAAAAAH
no screams?
wimps
When he said dead? Lol maybe?
It's a cover guys..
ETF is a band screams a lot in their own songs. Honestly, the lack of screaming is pretty confusing, despite the fact that this is a really good cover.
Pagman as I just get done listening to The Dead Rabbitts, but well they don't scream in all their songs he's good at doing both so he probably wanted to stay true with this one.
best one yet
Killed the guitar and drum
I love this
Everybody hates when bands cover MCR but ETF did a hella rad job. I'm glad they didn't change anything. It takes away the originality of songs and in a way if feels like they're trying to make it their own in some way.
I thought they wouldn't do the yeah part at the beginning cuz I expect it to sound weird since it's not Gee, and I was right. Tho, I like this. It's pretty good.
he sounds like what genard ways son would sound like.... so it's pretty much bomb af... haha 😛😛😛😍😍😍😍
BloodWolf0916 well technical the reason escape the fate exist to begin with is because of mcr. so yea its like a father song thing
@@yxngplagxe9946 oh that’s so cool
The covers are beautiful but it can never be as wonderful as Gerard can. Even me, I sing like Gerard, I mean the accent and sings so violently gorgeous (different voice though, I'm a girl) but I can't be as good as he is. His voice is one of a kind.
Amazing
Most sing-along-able song ever.
*People are stupid* . This is a cover song, a celebration and if you don't like it then listen to the original.
sø cøøl! *:Đ*
This would be better if it had Ronnie
fuck you!
fuck ronnie
I sincerely hope this was sarcastic.
all the hate on this comment but honestly he's right..... i mean atleast Ronnie can scream
My favourite cover in this album was sleep
I know this are all covers, but man... that "YEAH" was really weak
Divino
I've never listened to MCr till now. wow.
this is just a cover of their music done by another band-
This isn't MCR,,,
This is a bad singer.. OMG, MCR's singer is fantastic
ana pérez I agree and disagree with ur statement.
Xiilee the worst singer in the world, in my opinion. Respect ir.
the "yeah" was what i was looking for and... it was >.< but it was good nonetheless
This is so fkin good!
forever My Chemical Romance❤❤❤
Escape The Fate is one my favorites
ETF, they're alive? also, can't believe they got 21 Pilots to be a part of this!
HEAR US MCR! WE CRAVE THE COMEBACK!
Anyone know where u can buy this album or download it for your phone would
Love to hear this fully
Stop being so negative guys. I love that these bands were supportive and took the time to carry on mcr’s legacy
you can hear the resemblance but its not really supposed identical, anyways this was nice
We need a three cheers one
So this is the 3rd cover of "Dead" I've heard since COVID-19 began. Coincidence? Maybe a theme?
Will they do it with Folie a Deux by Fall Out Boy?
Okay, nothing better than original, but that's good.
I LOVE ETF AND MCR YAYYYYYYY!
This one isn’t as different as some of the other ones, but considering how bad some of them turned out by straying too far, I’m actually ok with this
Agreeed. The beginning was weak and so are the La La Las but I think the vocal style suited most of the song and they listened pretty closely to the nuance G used
I may not like Juice WRLD, but Escape the Fate should cover lucid dreams.
This band aren't bad. well, no sounds bad, it's one of my favorites.
Am i a true mcr fan if i say i like this version better than the original?
They did this well
spotify please?
that "yeah" was less of a "*YEAHHHHHHHHHH!!!* and more of a "yeahh."
if only Ronnie was still singer.
Then it'd be awesome.
RIGHT
I think Craig did an awesome job with this, but I agree with you. Ronnie would do it better.
I JUST IMAGINED RONNIE DOING THE "LA LA LA LA LA" AT THE END AND I CRIED
YESSSSSS
no ronnies voice does not match this song it would sound so weird
I will always love MCR best but this comes close
we get it. Y’all don’t like the cover lmao. Just remember it’s NOT going to sound exactly like mcr. And tbh most of these aren’t even nearly as bad as y’all saying. They literally sound super similar with a different lead . If y’all that close minded then just say it 😂😭
Sigh.... Whoever thought that MCR songs can be covered by anyone else was horribly wrong.
I didn´t know that this cover existed. Why?
Motionless in whit next????????????????????????
My thought ghost town and against the currents are the worst!
Andra Jourdan I almost cried bc they didnt do justice on the songs. I have to calm myself or else I would have thrashed around the house
I think Ghost Town had one of the best covers out of all of them.
Pageé yeah, whatever. different thoughts too. Pls go away
I thought Ghost Town did one of the few respectable ones, probably second to Palisades.
K bye
Is the intro is from the original
nobody does it as well as they did
Start good but the "yeah" is weak 😕
Like, no power at all
Brandon Lee Well duh haha. He hasn't been in the band for almost 10 years lmfao
It sounds kind of monotone compared to the original (also there's a difference with the guitar as though it's missing some notes)
Where the fuck is this guitar production on the rest of the album?
Punk goes emo rock.
AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA idk why tho
i didn't like none of these and i hope i'm not the only one. you can't feel the passion and emotion that gerard puts into his songs, no one can!
Claudia Padilla the "yeah" at the beginning sums it up. utter shit.
Claudia Padilla except cancer by twenty one pilots
CTE killed Welcome to the Black Parade
King Jamez it was horrible
Claudia Padilla It feels like they just came to their homes and told them to cover the songs on the spot. I was very disappointed, I expected much more out of these artists, these are some of my favorite groups
Craig sounds so bored.
I liked it but that yea was kinda weak man. Sounds great besides that
OFMG!!!1!1!1 IT SOUNDS DIFFERENT!1!1!1!1 I DONT CARE THAT ITS A COVER, IT DOESNT SOUND LIKE MCR!!!!1!1
I feel like ETF with Ronnie would’ve been better for this. Too bad Craig and the rest of ETF has to mess up my favorite MCR song.
Scarabyte very fucking true
I almost forgot why I had forgotten about this band (EtF). The only thing that made them stand out in the whole emo/screamo landscape, was that crazy guy Radke. I think I'll revisit their first EP again...
This cover adds absolutely nothing to the song. I mean, they play it well and all, but the vocals are just terrible. I prefer my own singstar cover of this.
nope.
they dont sound bad but I hate the entire idea of this album
This sounds like Bryan stars and johnny gulibert mashed together ;-;
His vocals sound so happy, not fitting for MCR. Unless it’s for Yo Gabba Gabba
Gerard sounds disturbingly joyful in the original song too.
who the hell mixed this? this could've been a much greater song if mixed properly
so sad man
I clicked though I knew Ronnie wouldn't be here
I kind of wish they had done something different. This is a straight copy of the original, which I guess fits the definition of a cover. I just think it's a wasted opportunity if youre recreating a song rather than interpreting it
This sucks. My chemical should sue for this.
Is it bad I only know one of these bands? Especially since it's.......
*TWENTY ONE PILOTS*
ew
I like their cancer cover, it just has a very different feel. Definitely prefer the original, of course, but I like it a lot. Mysticwolfmusic did a version mixing the two and it's pretty great.
this is meh. i like it but then it again i don’t.
This and Cancer are my favorites. I get that they're covers and not supposed to be exactly the same, I just don't like them. Personal taste.
Well that voice couldn't be ANY more terrible if it tried.
