I'd say to price the unit, install and reinstall separate. Then you can see the value of the hair unit itself and then what reusing it would be.

Sadly you can see the transition or missing transition to the hairpiece if you look closely. I'd personally not pay 1000$ for that. Not because the service isn't worth it. But because the maintenence is too stressful in the long run imho. Dope cut tho

Flawless work. But I couldn’t do it lol, I’m rocking the baldy proudly. 😂 I say this should be a $350-500 service. It’s a trade-off; yes it’s more technique in blending the unit with the natural hair. But on the flip side, it’s a regular haircut minus the glue and the unit.

My lady gets her hair done for $400 and it lasts months. The skin fade for this is gone in 5 days… how did $1000 come in to play for glue and a hair unit? You’re skilled no doubt but let’s be realistic 1 GRAND is rent money in this economy

If a man is insecure about his hair or wants to enhance it, then it makes sense that he would do something about it i.e. a hair piece. That's what we use wigs, make up etc. for!

i don't think this would take as much work if the textures matched. i think part of why you're projecting that price is because you had to work super hard to make a non-ideal situation work.

@@the4thken sure, but i'm just talking about your projected $1000 estimate. It's like estimating a plumbing job should be $1000 instead of $400 because you brought all the wrong pipes and now have to cut and weld them instead of just bringing the right size and threading them on.
But more power to you man if you find clientele willing to pay $1000 even when you have the right wig and the cut takes less time to get crispy. i'm genuinely rooting for every entrepreneur to be able to charge the max they possibly can

I checked mickey da barbers prices for reference and I definitely feel that her work is worth the price. While the cut on his real hair was great I think the blending with the hair unit needed some work. So as is I don't it's worth it but if you can get to mickeys level then yeah. Also, I know you guys were just making things work but if I was to get a service like this, I would expect the unit to be closer to my hair texture

I've been watching your videos for a while. I'm so glad you are opening up to a wider audience. I've been wearing units for years. The most I've ever paid for the haircut, and style was $175 at Gene Juarez. I haven't had a professional cut since before the pandemic so I'm sure it's a bit higher now. The hair (which is real human hair) I purchase myself is always around $200. I would never pay $1000 for a cut that is so temporary. Just for PR, referring to the hair as "fake" isn't really accurate as the hair you buy is your choice. "Fake" may also feel derogatory to the people who purchase it and it perpetuates the stereotype that people should just go bald if they suffer from alopecia. The hair can be either real or synthetic depending on the customer's preference. I personally don't do synthetic because it's too easy to destroy it whereas real hair is far more forgiving to heat.
Math is correct. That isn't no $1 yaki bundles from the beauty supply store glued onto a wig cap.

I think you guys are forgetting the cost of the actual hair unit... he can reuse the unit. It is like a lace front wig type of thing, plus the hair cut and the installation of the unit. Afterward, since he now owns the unit, he will not be paying $1000 every time to re-attach it.
It’s looks good but the texture doesn’t match his, so you can see the line of demarcation.
The final product looks amazing, truly brilliant work. However, why would someone pay 1k for this if it only last a few weeks? The price would make a lot more sense if this was a long-term solution.

The unit may not have matched his hair texture but the end result looked great!! I have so many questions: 1.) Can he swim with it? 2.) Does the glue applied to the scalp cause irritation? 3.) How hard is it to remove?

A full stack if crazy. We woman don’t pay that much to get box braids, and that can take hrs. I would say 400- 650 max
it's tough right, like for $1000 I would say its worth it, considering all the different hands it took and the fact that it took HOURS .
But what is the maintenance like on this, how often do you gotta come back and get it readjusted and how much would that cost to get that done.
If its going to be something that is $1000 up front, then $200-$400 every few weeks, you need to be making GOOD money to afford that upkeep.
