That's some valuable game you dropped. If you are fully booked you can't grow your business because you have no room for new clients. Raising prices will lose you some clients but will open you up for new ones at the new price point. Interesting stuff.
Lol
100$ for a cut is fucking insane
Did he not want his eyebrows done? 😭😭 Cause no way
The reality is you've marketed yourself to the point where you can raise your prices. Everything you said is true. Supply and demand. Honestly there are plenty of people out there that would pay the extra to have a guaranteed clean cut every time by someone they trust. This is the way of the world, supply and demand. And if you demand perfection, you gotta pay that price.
I agree, when I cut is too sharp it tends to look cartoony to me
Aye Ken4 I respect that you give back to the community 💪🏿you don’t have to, but you do! Many get the bag and forget about others. I know it helps your content..but still, you do it. Much respect
I cut in the city as well and your just a few years younger then me and providing game and motivation and it’s not to many of us young and out the way in the city, just wanna salute you ken. Would love to watch you cut one day !
Much success to you. That’s a high price point.. especially for those of us that get a haircut once a week. This economy is already beating us up.. $400 a month for haircuts is insane!
It is high. But; I don’t want clients that get weekly cuts. It’s annoying and unnecessary.
@@the4thken Interesting thought process.. But I hear ya.. Again.. Much success to you..
@@ricosauve3941this why you gotta start cutting your own hair. Saves you A LOT of money if you can get good at it
I understand. and Thank you brotha@@ricosauve3941

I've been following you since you were 15!!🎉
Heat 🔥
Nice cut❤
Ken can fix anything man
That by 4th been eating good and hittin the gym haha
3:47 really made me realise the effectiveness of putting your business on youtube. its so good cuz you get paid by doing the cuts AND by people watching you doing the cuts.
you should open up a whole barbershop that would be dope
And thats how boyz my receding hairline started 😂😂😂
i had a fuckin stroke reading this lmaooo
That’s fresh bro. Is that enhancement onyx or black/brown
AINT PAY 100 I DONT CARE HOW GOOD YOU ARE
Man been paying attention to dlucs
Dope you getting to 100$ now. That’s fire fam. Keep grinding. N my goal is to have shops and name that is known for some of the best cuts in the state of not the world. Tbh just create a LEGACY
First comment!!🎉😊
All the way from SOUTH AFRICA. HUGE FAN!!🇿🇦🇿🇦
I didnt even know u had a beard until now lol. Ig i was used to the stache
The problem with haircuts is they simply don’t last long! A fresh cut might last 2-3 days! I watch a lot of dope RUclips barbers but I feel price should be tied to how long something last! But maybe I’m wrong!🤷🏾
Blame ppl who pay the price not the barber fam
That’s because ppl are painters not barbers not no more
Naw you not wrong and you can’t blame the people that’s getting the cut. If all the Barber’s are going up on their prices, you’re either going to get a cut or not and most people have to get a haircut.
You’re definitely wrong. But I understand most people don’t see it from our side. No health benefits, no 401k, no paid time off, no vacation time, no yearly pay raises, etc. but on the flip, we are responsible for job interviews, weddings, first dates, conference calls, etc. Therapists, counselors, OGs, father figures, etc. We actually could/should charge a lot more.
Extra fresh...
Where are you located bro?
i could see you making more content outside of haircuts. but what would u want to do? as content?
Cut was great but you should have divided those eyebrows
No enhancements I'm sold😊😊
bro coulda went to a casual barber nd pay like 40 for tha same exact cut😂
ken you're my favorite, but you trying to grow your business and you're raising prices, lower your prices to gain more customers and once they see your talent, then gradually raise your prices, you will keep those customers, and word of mouth will get you there.
Naaaaa, ain't no way that cut cost a "yard." Shameful display of barbering prices. Blessings
Good cut but the dude needed the eyebrows cleaned up.
Cuzzo trynna be Jason Tatum as twin
You pushed his hairline back to Africa 😭
Bro gave him the Dennis Schroder special 😂
lmfao i jus noticed
Raise them prices G 💯
I will see you in December.
😂
he gonna get a clean haircut and just keep rocking out with the unibrow???
Hmm ok
Being myself a content strategist, I would totally not reveal your business strategy, Ken. The reason being is that as a barber, you don't want open criticism of your economic gain to breed resentment toward clients and rival barbers.
Anyone can be a barber, so giving a global soapbox to your personal strategy can work against you and breed resentment that affects your business.
Your cuts are special, but they're special in part because of your social network branding and personality. Outside being an NBA barber, if you don't retain your reliable everyman clients with price lock, you may not have enough upscale clientele to feed your retire-by-40 plan, especially in the worst economic inflation we've seen in the history of the country.
You don't want clientele to leave because they are offended by the notion that you will get rich on a very perishable good that will turnover in a matter of days.
Protect yourself, my man.
You dropped a jewel my friend.. I second everything you said!!
@@ricosauve3941 it's just the way of the world, my friend - and thank you! The goal is to get good at something and sustain it, and IF you can turnover it over passively, you make that strategic investment. The problem is, as a content creator, the media networks change algorithms to keep creators from getting rich! It's not a sustainable primary business, which is why content creators end up selling their own products and having to work on multiple streams to live on....hustling to live. In this case, barbers are already selling products - relief of hair - which is a good of personal healthcare. If you can own barber shops, that's one thing. But, flipping cheaper clients to move into content curation is an easy way to move into poverty, because you still need to sell a product to keep your audience satisfied - unless, you become a celebrity on-call barber.
Barbering is so dang competitive in big cities, and if you have a client base that respects you and can pay above-market, that's already winning.
This economy...people are going to go for the best value. You don't want to turn your customers away with artificial inflation, in theory, but, every person's plans and circumstances are unique. Disclosing artificial inflation is an easy way to piss off customers and breed contempt. Bad word of mouth will turn cats over to the $15 once-over-and-lineup easy.
Bro is your mic an inch away from your mouth or something 😅
Never though I'd see the day that barbers start click baiting lmao jeezy, 4th ken, wavykid kev, all yall lol but hey get your money
should have do the eyebrows
🧼 💈🔥 ‼️
Nice cut.. but not for a hundo
Thought this was fonzz come back
Deadass lol
Yoooo
Wish you had tackled them eyebrows.
Decent cut but not worth 💯 I can do much better and charge much less
no you cant
@@njx12223 been cutting for more than 20 years I assure you I can
I hate when y'all say dumb ass stuff like this with no proof or anything. Just talking
Charging less for a better haircut makes zero sense lol
@@KalTheBarber charging more for a lousy haircut makes no sense!!
no offense to you, but, i loved his hair before you started cutting.
