So, they want to tie themselves to a currency that is essentially controlled by China. No one, no country with any sense would willingly tie themselves to China or any country that has essentaly 1 person rule. All issues aside, the USA has very stable currency controls, As a rule, respecting contracts and international laws even when they may be inconvenient.
Dont make haox. BRICS has learnt from euro when Goldman Sachs attached European after Saddam & Gaddafi decision to use Euro rather than the USD. 4 European countries were almost collapsed including Italy and Germany. That's why BRICS doesnt want to use any currencies rather than their own local currencies. Meaning, the world trading will be really fair based on each country's ability not based on manipulated USD supported by the US alliances after looting other countries natural resources. I think eventually there will be a global currency that doesn't involve USDollar or Chinese Yuan.
Next step is cancelling the 16th century law - declaration of discovery that allow the USA stole a land in Syria and elected Guido, a Venezuelan master degree student who studied at Washington University, to lead Venezuela from Maduro just because Trump liked Venezuela oil.
The decision of currency hasn't been made. Very stable, but if you do something they don't like they use it as a weapon. So if you want sovereignty from the west as former colonised country and want to escape the IMF debt traps(example Argentina) you start looking at options that don't force you to implement neoliberal policies.
USA respecting contracts and international laws? That'd be joke of the century. The war crimes and sanctions committed by USA are more than all the other countries combined 😅
