It's my opinion (and I'm not a doctor) that you should not feel joint pain after a run if you have exercised within your physical limits. If you develop knee pain as a result of running and if that pain becomes routine, you will need to switch to another form of exercise after the knee pain has completely disappeared. If you don't make the switch and you insist on running despite your knee pain, you could damage your knee(s) permanently.

Hey Chess Lover, your approach is absolutely acceptable! The information in this video gives the more adventurous runner a way to continue running so that they might be able to reach their goals safely.
But your approach is great if you're in a situation where you can slow down and stop if needed.

I ran on Sunday with almost no pain. Yesterday was a little stiff but today I woke up and it was swollen and painful to walk on. What gives? Two days after?

I wanted to know is it common for knee pain to radiate to the shin area? ( in particular with chondromalacia patella injury grade 1)
