I've got a Khaki Field 42mm automatic - tough as old boots - excellent timekeeper and just a great all round watch. Its my go to "holiday" watch when taking a vacation abroad
I've had a Hamilton Khaki field watch for over 2 years now. I love it--simple, thin, readable. I wear it to work everyday, no scratches so far. At first I was also concerned about the water resistance, but really my lifestyle is 99% "field" and less than 1% "stream," so it hasn't been a problem for me. My son loves winding it. By the way, that blue dial in this video looks great!
I have a KUOE Old Smith in bronze and I absolutely love it. It has 100M of water resistance with a screw down crown despite looking like it only has 30M. For Hamilton, I like the Hamilton Khaki Aviation more than the Khaki Mechanical.
I'd love to get a bronze version with the black dial, if only the water resistant wasn't so low..that's why I bought the automatic version a while ago, amazing watch
$895 for the bronze dial is steep relative to the $575 steel options. I will say though the patina I’ve seen on the bronze case option make it feel every bit worth it to grab that version. I own the steel white dial with vintage loom and wish the bronze case had been out a few years ago. Field watches just work with a tshirt and jeans, and a patina on the bronze case just fits that style perfectly.
Display caseback and 100m of wr and I'd get it. As it stands, no thanks. I'm fine with a simpler field Seiko 5. Ive owned a Khaki Field Auto and sold it after a few months (the auto dial doesn't speak to me as much as the mechanical).
I thought I would like the white dial with modern lume, but it just looks off to me. The vintage lume creates a contrast that makes it pop and look beautiful… in my opinion. The new white dial one just looks sterile
Had wanted a Khaki Field for a while and when I saw the blue dial, had to get it. Looks so good
That blue and lume color matches beautifully together O:

I love that white dial with the modern lume. Very good refresh
How do I know if I'm getting the new lume?
@@representativeofmexico2007 the new lume is the color of normal lume, unlike the original Khaki Field which has a darker, yellowish “antique” color
@@thisoldbelair i haven't found a side by side. I'm about to purchase one and this confuses me 😔

In regard to the bronze, is it a coating only?
I’m thinking how if a scratch should happen.

Heh, I'm wearing the same watch as I'm typing this.
Such a great watch.
White dial is legendary
Agreed

Excellent watches 👍⌚
The lugs on these are soo long. When I tried one on, it’s all I could see, these massive lugs.
I always wanted one of these, but I just cant fathom its low water resistance
get the auto
They dont have the same look unfortunately
I see what you did there.
@Bruhecc I wouldn't worry too much for everyday wear
I'll wait til that bronze case that white dial with green lume are both super nice tho. $600+ nice tho? Idk
Do these have exhibition caseback?
I really wish they'd make a mechanical HW with day/date or just date...
I have a San Martin , screw down crown, 200 m water resist , bronze case , a lot of lumen , sapphire crystal, all that for $150.00 USD
Still just 50m WR rules it out for me - shame as I really like the look
Arguably this is the ‘Submariner’ of field watches
Idk for me it's the Alpinist
Submariner of field watches is Khaki Expedition 42mm... Tudor BB54 of field watches is Khaki Expedition 37mm 😁 🔥
@@edwards4409Getting an alpinist Monday and will be getting one of these too!! 😍

Wish they made a gold one
Dial size?
38mm
So like, I get that they’re extremely nice and well made but why wouldn’t I just get the mechanical 38mm timex expedition?
Exactly. I have the white dial Timex and it's amazing!
@@soumikv9275 like they’re nearly identical minus the “made in Swiss” stamp
@@skibooski6884 exactly. And mine was like 12k inr..I.e 145 usd
Because Swiss Made markup obviously
Hamilton is owned by the Swatch Group. Good luck finding an independent watchmaker who can service it!
Love these watches but field watch dials are just too small for me
We just want 100m of water resistance and a screwed down crown... That's it, that simple!
Hamilton, will you please??
5 ATM is not.for a field tool watch
My father wore a Hamilton. I wear the field khaki from Hamilton. Excellent watch! Nuff said.
Doesn't bronze smell bad though?
Only if you don't like the smell of victory.
Lol
None of these new variants are superior to the ones that came before it
If the water resistance was more, I'd be perfect
Buy Khaki Expedition 37mm

White Dial
For children ?
Timex can get away with painted dials for $40… not for $500
Omega Railmaster costs $5000, and also has printed markers. That's ok for a field watch
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Got a new one 8yrs ago( new) never kept good time. Went back to hamiltons twice...they couldn't correct the problem...never again
The white dial without the vintage lume just doesn’t look right to me
Looks more like a downgrade design wise.
Hamilton Khakis are such boring watches. Well made, but nothing special about them at all. May as well be a Timex.
at this point they are just copying islander...
Looks like a 50$ military field watch
Yeah and Paganni make 17k Rolex watches for £150 so what's your point?
The problem is all the budget options seem to be brass rather than steel :(
@@haomingxia2109 so putting on a basic steel material jumps the price to 600$ lol?
@@kms08711 the stainless steel versions of brass watches immediately 3x the price even though it shouldn't be that much more
Meh... 😐
Still shitty WR?
I came here to see if they fixed that.
Are you going to dive with this or just wash your hands after giving your meat a good old rub?
Don't get the love affair with Hamilton. If I wanted a watch that looks like a timex I'll get a Timex.. Save the $ for something nice..🤷♂️
Sorry but dials look so boring. Look like my grandmother’s clock.
if you want a flashy dial don't look at field watches
Field watch my friend 🔥
Still no screw down crown. 🤮
