On a Dub Tip : OB6/Verbos/Alphabase

- I've been listening to a lot of Deepchord and Rhythm & Sound lately, and while tweaking a sequence on the OB6 I ended up with this little stab, so I though why not jam this one a bunch, tweak El Capistan, turn some knobs, add a clap... For some reason I only recorded 4 minutes so I looped it so it runs a bit longer.
Dub mixing with a mouse is very meh, anyone selling a APB DynaSonics ProRack House H1020 on the cheap :) ?

You are showing how good the ob6 for dub chords is! Sounds different than the Prophet 6. And The Verbos CO makes such a nice bass voice. Like it more than the DPO on the bass! Great music as always.
OB6 is very good for dub techno ! The sizzle when you introduce some notch is lovely. And yes these days I've been mostly using my Verbos system for bass lines, it just works.

Is that the alpha base kick drum?
That is the most perfect kick I have ever heard.
The whole track is lovely, the chords, all the drums. The whole thing.
The kick though, oh my goodness.
It's a very simple 909 sample played by the Alphabase, slightly tweaked in Ableton with EQ. I've moved away from the AB kick... it's very subby, lacks mid weight punch and I find it hard to mix. I've used it a lot but right now I swear by the 909 kick. Which one could easily argue is the perfect kick drum.
Which track are you the 909 kick in? The XSample? It sounds fantastic!

I sold it a while again, I just kept the verbos system you see here, but it's a really nice osc for sure !

A cheap K&M guitar stand ! Works wonders
How are you sequencing your OB-6 ?
I use Stepic in Ableton
@@LucasMarchal Sweet - I've started to use Hapax with my OB-6 - maybe overkill but highly recommended.
@@a1o1 Yeah I'm sure it's great ! I don't know if I want to had a big hub sequencer like that, but maybe I'd like it !
@@LucasMarchal I work at a computer all day - essential for me with screen fatigue - but yes a hub. I use it for a few synths.
Sold the Verbos delay?
I still have it and love it, but I wanted the Amp & Tone V1 in the case and it doesn't fit... I might switch the A&T / DFP with the multi delay and a Lxd... or just get a pod dedicated to the Delay.
