Thank you! It's been a while since I've done Freecad tutorials but I am using it more to learn it more. Is there anything in particular you are interested in to learn with Freecad?

Thanks you! You did good job on this topic tutorial, should go further. I am Newbie in FreeCAD, trying to explore what can it be applied into AEC field.

This video is so useful, thank you so much ! It would be great if you made a series to explore more of freecad's features.
As a complete beginner i find it a lot less intuitive than other softwares like blender and i would appreciate your contribution here on youtube !
Also, do you recommand using the blender-freecad combo for architecture modeling in general or would it be better to go full blender / full Freecad ? Thank you for your attention and for youe work, have a nice day !

I use Blender mostly, but Freecad is a more proper alternative to Revit, for documentation. Although BlenderBIM is becoming more viable option weekly. So I would recommend learning Blender first and then start jumping into Freecad.

@@UHStudio Do you have a link to an explaniantion about BIM? I am loosely familiar with it but I am not an architect. I am curious what it does in Blender / FreeCAD and how it later will be used for construction.

please, what if you wanted the subtraction to affect only the ground floor and not the whole array. How would you do that?

mine disappears when using curves on corners no walls appear... i Think it is a bug i better shift to older stable version.... I find freecad very slow compared to blender 2.8 but the parametric feature is a very promising feature to invest on.

I dont get why FreeCAD works around sketches instead of manipulating elements directly and why you have to refresh each time you do something. I find it so frustrating and less intuitive but anyway, nice video. Also, I dont know if you have noticed that this video is repeated.

It's indeed a different approach with its own strengths and weaknesses

Hi! This video was amazing! It was reall detailed but I have one problem I really need help with. When I try placing a window in the wall, in the view im in, it looks like the window is on the wall. But when I change views I see the windows have been placed REALLY far from the wall and isn´t on the wall.
    Thanks in advance :)

Hi. Thanks! Windows and doors best placed in orthogonal top view or in a 3d view, snapping to a wall. It can be a bit finicky though.

I'm using Fusion360 (design and CAM) but honestly I'm growing tired of their constant bugs and changes in licensing. I can't afford their paid license, so I can't complain. But I'm getting into industrial design and I'm an architectural aficionado, I like designing and building things for friends. Is FreeCad reliable? I have no issue in learning a new software, but I'd only do that if it's useful in the long run.

Definitely not as polished, but it's definitely reliable. In fact, there is currently a mass exodus from Fusion 360 to Freecad :)

@@UHStudio Ty, Also if you wanna fix window array issue, try to array facade modules like tissue works and after array levels.
