    Wow and wow again sir; I have been trying out all options of programs and how to use them and the only one that came close was nanoCAD (other than Revit which I know). But I came across FreeCAD again and I was trying to get my head around the command structure but not having much luck with ‘any’ of the videos and then, it must be a God moment because I came across your video and already, seeing I can set it to Revit, I am once again reviving my hope and confidence. The elocution is what is bit off on the many other videos and I know that is politically incorrect to make mention of but it is true; your eloquence makes everything so much easier to follow and the quality of your video, visually is excellent too. Thank you so much for helping make my entry into the world of FreeCAD (BMI) so much easier than I could have hoped.

    You can also see the position of the slab relative to the wall by zooming in to a corner, then selecting the wall and toggling its visibility by right clicking it in the tree and selecting toggle visibility or by pressing the spacebar.

    Thank you. This is very informative. One thing that would make it better, would be to make your icons extra large, so we could see the icon that you select.

    Nice tutorial. However, my FreeCAD does not operate like your's does in the video. For example, I create the rectangle then click the wall button and i get a single wall, not 4 walls like you did. Am i doing something wrong? I am completely frustrated with FreeCAD at the moment.

    Hi, thanks so much on your tutorial! I have one question though. I can´t make the wall on the rectange hollow like you did and I´ve been trying for about a day now. Can I have some help please? Thanks in advance for your help because I know you will answer :)

    Thanks for your tuts man! Really helpful :)
    Just a question: is there a way to auto-refresh without using F5?
    For Windows 10...

    • @nevermind3r
      @nevermind3r 4 года назад

      Found it! When you change dimensions for your object (properties) and you press Enter, you must refresh using F5 key or going to Edit > Refresh.
      If you use TAB KEY, Freecad automatically detects and refreshes it. Thanks anyway! I like your tuts, keep on please! :)

    Hi. Thank you very much for this very educational video. your speaking is very concise, precise, efficient and respectful of your listeners because it does not waste their time in unnecessary words.
    I am a beginner and I try to replicate your operations but, there you are, I block as soon as the walls are made. Instead of seeing a floor area surrounded by a wall, I see a solid volume. Even before that, the rectangle does not appear to me empty (just lines) but as a solid area. Is it a bug in my system or a bad configuration?
    Thank you in advance for your help. P:S: I am working on a Linux Fedora system.

    • @UHStudio
      @UHStudio  4 года назад

      Hi and thank you for your kind words. If you are on Linux, you are likely running a dev version that may have had some features tweaked to respond in a different manner. Freecad features tend to get updated rather quickly and sometimes rendering an old process useless. I would suggest you going through all the options of a wall and investigate one by one

    Would be great if you continue this tutorial with some basic building example (E.g. 2 Storey office building model by freecad) ---> might get a lot of view :)

    I am new to FreeCad, and exploring the available videos, this one was interesting, you mentioned you have other Architectural videos using FreeCad, where can I find them, also, within the e design I need to show routing of electrical an plumbing routes, is this available within FreeCad. For the routing, I previously used Visio, but MS has changed the marketing, and the original software I purchased is no longer working, hence, seeking alternatives.

      There is a freecad playlist on the channel's home page. You can also see it here: ruclips.net/p/PLJThqQUeIsPTw-SQeY595Kpz_xQeZxz4o. Yes, you can definitely do wiring and plumbing routes, with simple lines and polylines.

    I tried few times again and again to warm to the draft and BIM WB in FreeCAD but I never feel I am in control of my drawings.

    • @UHStudio
      @UHStudio  3 года назад

      I've found that for me the best way to work in freecad is sketch based, use sketches for everything, including walls (make sketch, and then use sketch for walls)

    • @cekuhnen
      @cekuhnen 3 года назад

      @@UHStudio so you use the sketcher and not the draft WorkBench ? how tools are split all over the WB is really confusing at times.

    Hey hello, can I get plans from the model?

    • @UHStudio
      @UHStudio  4 года назад

      You can get rendered plan views but not architectural plans. If you are interested in using Blender for generating typical plans and sections, I suggest you look into the BlenderBIM addon

    My Addon Manager does not offer the BIM workbench, merely 3D Printing Tools.
    Where can I find BIM?

    • @UHStudio
      @UHStudio  2 года назад

      It should be there, unless you already have it installed? You may manually install any workbench if you grab the workbench code from GitHub and look Google where it needs to be placed
