I love your no BS style - anyone that thinks ecommerce is a path to riches needs to think again. There are many moving parts and a lot of research is required to pick the right path - selecting the right product niche, picking winning products, finding the right store platform, understanding the options to drive traffic to your site, dealing with return problems and taxes - the list goes on and on. People need to understand that this is the same as any business - it is hard. I am about to take the plunge and dive into a (possibly) saturated market, but my startup investment will be less than $2k, so I am not over capitalising and I might actually learn something (hopefully I nail it first time, but I doubt it). I would encourage everyone to review the number of visits to their Store and, if the click throughs are high but you are not getting sales, then you need to carefully look at your niche, products and store presentation. If all of that looks OK, then move on to idea number 2 - it might take a while to hit the right formula. Great work from you though.
Well said. I’ve surprisingly been researching for 3 days straight which website builder, hosting, print on demand/Ecommerce, to use with low monthly cost obligation but maximum creative flexibility as an artist.. Whew!
This is great advice and some tough love talk. I’ve tried this and it’s hard if you don’t know your research on what sells and what you can as a artist or just a seller. I’m still trying after failed attempts so do proper research people.
Thank you I want to launch my own perfume brand in 2024 done with packaging and all the fun stuff was really trying hard to find a website to start selling on. This video answered my question. I have subscribed for more
Your communications style is great. I enjoyed watching this video. Do you have any other videos that pertain to payment gateways for WooCommerce specifically? Also, something that doesn't seam to get addressed is the turn around time between when a product or download sells, and the time when the payment fulfillment service releases the funds to the business selling the product or download. Any ideas on that?
I enjoyed this video very much, and I wanna learn how earning income on online platforms work. I am grateful for your education I will be watching this channel more often now I am new and recently subscribed 😃
Great video and thanks for the the tips. I appreciate you mentioning that you are not an affiliate and aren't being paid to endorse the big players. That is something super important to me because it makes it an honest review which is rare these days. With that being said, I strongly disagree with what you said about Shopifys customer support. In my experience it used to be really easy to get ahold of someone when issues popped up but now, it's next to impossible to get good customer service from them since they have outsourced it. They want you to figure things out on your own so they try and put you off by asking the community instead of them. They also remove support options like calling and chat when things get too busy for them. You would be extremely lucky to get them on the phone. I have also encountered several reps who seemingly could not careless about your questions and will conflate issues by being condescending when you are simply trying to learn. I was straight up lied to about the threshold fees they charge for shipping and they were able to walk away with tens of thousands of dollars in fees that I should never have had to pay and to this day I have never been able to talk to customer service about this serious issue. Like you mentioned, they nickel and dime you on everything and are not upfront. I think all of this is contingent upon how big your store is and how "worth it" you are to them. My 2 stores together are only doing about 150k a year in sales so I don't fall under the "worth it" category apparently. For these reasons I am ready to leave Shopify behind me and never look back, hence why I am here researching different platforms. Thanks again.
I am a small business with no figures yet! I want to start, so I don't make those 6, 7 or even 8 figures you have mentioned...so...still, don't know what to use...
Hey, are you doing this full-time or part-time? I'm doing dropshipping to earn some extra pocket money, so I'm using Wix because it's relatively simple. It's been running well so far, hahahaha, but I did encounter some challenges along the way. If you're interested, we can exchange some experiences and discuss further.
I only used squarespace because of ease of use. Just renewed for another year, but did not sell anything last year😢 have not been able to traffic for sales for my handmade jewelry and paper crafts gifts…
Thanks for the video! What about Prestashop? There are hostings that include it for free and it seems easy to use. Also, would you please make a video about hostings? Which one do you recommend? And also one for emails since I noted that in some hostings emails a constant upgrade $$ needs to be made. Do you handle your emails through the one from the hosting or do you pay for a different service provider?
hi great video is there a toll or software that help you to export products from amazon to a wix store? like auto ds? is there a wat to di it for free?
Hey, I love your content, I’ve been watching your videos often to help me get ready to start my online business ventures. What do you think of bluehost and siteground?
My volume is set on maximum, but the volume comes through very low. Am I the only one experiencing that? Your advice is very valuable and I hate to miss it.
Do you have a video for finding online customer's? I make incense and candles @ home but don't know how to market and fb marketplace hasn't really generated much $ for me
What is best for dropshipping ecoomerce open source website or market place like ebay, amz, Walmart etc which have their own audience plz I'm really confused I need held to get out out of being perplex
Thanks for this powerful video. What would your review be like on ECWID. Am from Zambia and am looking into an e-com platform that would be best on the African market, user friendly for beginners with at least great support and multiple payment getaways, auto currency/ language converter.
Do you have any inside info. on what's up with Shift4Shop? Their on-boarding is on pause and Emails not being answered. Wanted to choose them for my Ecommerce, but seems like they are having problems. Thanks.
I have a big problem here. So please kindly help me with what was going on. The case is " I can't get Big Commerce Trial". I tried so many times to start my trial in Big Commerce but they showed me that " an error has occurred and please contact support".
Question: I haven’t been able to find this answer on You tube. Do any of these platforms collect taxes on purchases like Etsy does? Which is the only reason I’ve stayed on Etsy so that I don’t have to deal with tax stuff and or worry about 1099 etc. Thank you!
Person buying is the one that pays the sales tax.. As for federal taxes, U.S passed a law this year that if you make over $600 in sales, you will need to report it to IRS
Hi! Where do you think Shift4shop would compare to the other platforms you have mentioned in this video? I have seen many of your videos where you compare and contrast the majority of the platforms you mentioned in this video, but I see you did not mention shift4shop which is a platform I started using due to one of your previous videos. I have since then found there are a lot of little issues with it that I won't go too much into detail in this initial comment as I just wanted to know your opinion on it if it has changed as time has gone by. Thank you very much for your time
@Berto Mora I started one and it's not as user-friendly as square, but if you can navigate it well, play around with it, it may get easier. But I do notice that not a lot of people use it.
Hello, why do you think Shift4Shop is not accepting new customers? I tried open an account and it said that they are currently not opening any new stores. Thank you.

Btw, all platforms will collect tax for you but no matter what, you still have to file sales tax
Person buying is the one that pays the sales tax.. As for federal taxes, U.S passed a law this year that if you make over $600 in sales, you will need to report it to IRS
No mensionó Etsy ni Amazon Handmade 😮
SEO and URL slugs mmmm. Anyone that understands these terms does not need to watch this video. KISS..
