I have been on Big Commerce Enterprise for 6 years . I got tired of being screwed / over charged and recently moved to Shopify Plus . No comparison whatsoever . Shopify is IMO far superior to Big commerce on every single level .
Hey, Great video! Not sure if you know this but I need a way to create a cart for the customer and SHARE the cart by way of email or text. Then that customer can click directly to the checkout page. It's vital because many of our customers don't know what they need and ask us for advice. I know it's possible because I do it all the time with another company I buy wellness products from. I just don't know if BC has one. Do you know?
Same with the email you might as well develop it yourself or else you’re just gonna be paying crazy fines. Trust me I did it and mine was just to launch a business. I did a few years ago I can imagine what it would be to keep up and running in.
I find their drag and drop builder very limiting. TBH unless you know code I dont feel you can really get what you want. The product pages have almost no custom options and are poorly laid out. I really dont understand why these pages cant be completely customizable. I cant even move my logo without knowing code. That, to me, is a huge turn off. I got very frustrated that i couldnt get it to do what I want. You cant even put text over and image lol. Sure it has lots of great features but the design aspect is sorely lacking.
I recommend that you should use big commerce instead of shopify because if you use shopify payments there is a possibility that they will hold your funds and resume it after 90 or 120 days
UPS and FedEx integration worked pretty quickly and easily for me. With UPS I just had to give some details from recent UPS invoices to authorize BigCommerce to connect to my UPS account. With FedEx however, it didn't work initially, but only because an error with getting the authorization key from Fedex, so it wasn't BigCommerce's fault. When I tried again a week later, it worked. Maybe your issue is also just temporary with UPS and will resolve itself next time you give it a try.
Sir, good information. Please darken the background of the space you put the words (or change the background). The background is so busy, it makes it difficult to easily read what is displayed the screen. Another tip is to put more volume into the words, especially as you you get near the end of a sentence or thought, or what you consider is an aside bit of information. If something isn't worth the effort to vocalize well (or read well) then it's not worth saying at all (or typing onto the video). Thanks.

Not sure about big commerce looks good but a simple thing as setting up UPS there API won’t even work and no one can help

If you have mail chimp integration can you still trigger abandoned cart emails via mail chimp even if you only use the big commerce $29 plan?
