    "Smudgeproof" yet has smudges at two seconds in.

    Scrape the food off your dishes! Even if the dishwasher can handle it, which it can't, your plumbing will eventually be compromised.

    Before you ever test anything again, please read the manufacturers Use and Care Guide first. Your not even using the stemware holder correctly. If you like it now....just wait.

    "Not a bad dishwasher"???? For 1,100 dollars this machine had better taken almost anything I throw at it.

    That wash arm looks too cheap in such an expensive machine. Looks like little thought went into that. Just use full sized spray arms with sufficient water pressure like the old Whirlpool lightning bolt wash arms in the old power clean dishwashers .
    Wish manufacturers would stop trying to reinvent the wheel. (No pun intended).😁

      There’s not one dishwasher that has a lower arm that sweeps around as quickly as the Powerclean module dishwashers did. Those lower arms are very quick which doubles the cleaning capacity. I wish they would stop with these ugly ridiculous looking lower wash arms, they perform worse than a traditional long arm, can’t stand the Whirlpool “total coverage” one cause for another thing they can’t handle running all wash arms at once only one at a time can run due to the tiny motors they use now so cycles take longer and they don’t clean as powerfully as a machine that has a big enough motor to run the whole show at once, there’s no excuse for it cause I have a 2020 Maytag which runs all arms at once and only uses half a gallon per fill not even probably I’ve never had or used a dishwasher that used such little water and was still able to distribute water powerfully to each arm at once, unbelievable work Whirlpool did to make this incredible model that they wrongfully discontinued in 2020 and now don’t make any Maytags with simultaneously running arms. Sorry that was so long but I wanted to seed my point. The good Maytag dishwashers are over and I’m beyond thrilled that I have the very last good model they made we love it and that thing has got some good power it has a 1/3 horse motor as much power as the powercleans delivered, and it cleans just as well as my portable direct feed Powerclean! My two favorite dishwashers ever!!

    I know it's 6 years ago, but you still trigger me with the way you use the stem holders. You're supposed to push the stem in, so that it locks the stem in place, not remove it, throw the glass in and put it back!

    • @Goldenwoodz

      You shouldn’t be rinsing them off, just scraping the large chunks into the trash. It doesn’t make any sense at all to rinse dishes that are going into a machine that’s going to use a ton of time and scalding hot water and detergent to jet water around like a car wash in a tub. All dishwashers pre rinse for us anyways which they don’t tell you, that’s why there is a dispenser for detergent. You need dirt to wash something, we don’t rinse off all our clothes before we launder them, same for the dishes. They need to be dirty otherwise the detergent is eating at the material of dishware. Make sense?

      @@Goldenwoodz yes. If I have caked on mud on my clothes I will get rid of it. You can’t honestly state that without the excess food will cause excessive wear and tear on my dinnerware 🤣😂🤣😂🤣. That sounds ridiculous 🤣😂🤣😂🤣 I also don’t want to have to clean out all the extra food from the trap on the daily. “HUNNY, I found chicken thighs in the dishwasher again! “ 🤣😂🤣

    • @Goldenwoodz
      @Goldenwoodz Год назад +2

      @@joshuaclough4641 In the sense of normal everyday soils no, most of us don’t pre wash laundry or other stuff that is moderate which is what I was talking about, just like for dishes. Personally if I have alot of heavy soils on dishware I lightly rinse them away and leave as much residue and scum behind as possible for the machine to remove. And yes because your not educated on this when it’s common sense that if there’s nothing on the item itself whatever it is to clean, the detergents harsh chemicals can begin eating away the material overtime and ruin items because it has nothing to remove and bind to, did you ever pass a chemistry class? I work on these machines and fully understand them and the experts will tell you the same as I am that understand how they operate. And If you don’t want to check your manual filter if you have that once a week so be it be irresponsible, it’s not just food debris that collects in those it’s also water minerals and deposits that can clog them seen many in that case before. By the sound of the original comment you rinse and rinse and rinse until the dishes are totally clean, if that’s the case, what the heck is the sense of that when the dishwasher your using pre rinses the dishes for you? If you load it correctly a manual filter only needs to be checked once a week if used heavily. Regardless self cleaning or manual filters no large solids should ever be loaded in, like corn bones beans noodles ect only regular and heavy soils that break down in water is what you want like sauces, butters oils liquids ect…your dishwasher is programmed to pre rinse, wash, rinse, and sanitize. By rinsing and rinsing them before loading them in, your only making the machine do one step which is sanitizing instead of using it for all 4 steps to its full benefit. I suggest reading your owners manual and finding out more about the filtration system you have because if it’s a self cleaning with a food chopper that pulverizes the soils then you don’t have to worry whatsoever about taking a little easy filter out and running it under water and giving it a little scrub every so often it needs it. If it’s a manual, look here on RUclips they are easy to take out and check and only takes a matter of seconds no tools required. But I fully understand the anxiety in leaving soils on dishware it’s very common and understandable, as long as you do it right you won’t have a problem. Just keep maintaining your machine by checking the manual filter if it has that and running an annual cleaning cycle and wiping the interior door edges down regardless of what type of machine you have they all need a cleaning once in a while.

      I agree 100%. I refuse to prerinse my dishes, no matter how filthy the dishes are. I use all Cascade products and they've performed quite well. Mine is a Kenmore dishwasher and let me tell you, that think could clean anything. I've gotten hit by a stream of water from the bottom spray arm alone. It does spray at all varying pressures depending on how dirty the dishes are, yet the spray is constant on all jets.@@Goldenwoodz

    What CNET is doing here is very much extreme testing. Even if the dishwasher is capable of handling big food particles doesn't mean it should. I used to be an appliance repair tech and people can be real pigs when it comes to washing dishes by dishwasher. Just because it has a food chopper doesn't mean it'll chop it up. I used to find anything from screws to bones in the choppers and people wonder why their brand new sh!t breaks down. Rinse your dishes first people, it'll be much easier on your dishwasher. Once every two months or so run an empty cycle with an eight ounce cup full of white vinegar or whatever other cleansers to get rid of resedue build up. Your dishwasher and your plumbing will thank you later and a tech will be making fewer trips to your house and most importantly read the manual people especially the maintenance section

    If you knew how a dishwasher works especially this one you would not be throwing whole kernel corn into the dishwasher and sandwiches and chips and full solid foods like you’re doing in this video and then you complain that it’s redepositing on the dishware, well no kidding all that solid gunk is clogging the filtration system and then you’ll begin having low pressure on your spray arms resulting in unsatisfactory results. Just scrape off the solids off dishware and directly load them in don’t even let the dishes see the sink, dishwashers pre rinse automatically on most regular and heavy duty cycles which is why there is a detergent dispenser, so that detergent is released after the pre rinse water has been drained out for the main wash cycle where it uses a heating element to begin increasing temperature for ultimate cleaning and scrubbing. Dishwashers have two types of filterarion systems, manual cleaning and self cleaning. With a manual filter you wanna make sure you scrape off gunk even more because it will all collect in the filter which needs to be cleaned weekly, and for self cleaning dishwashers they offer a food chopper built into the pump that pulverizes any solids in the wash water and disposes them each drain. Those are the better machines the ones that have a self cleaning filter. It blows my mind these people have zero idea what their talking about and they make a whole video about it.

      No kidding. Frigidaire is utter junk. Miele, Bosch and Whirlpool are the most superior brands of dishwashers to buy. We have a Whirlpool made Maytag from 2020, it behaves like an older machine no pauses 247 no alternating arms has a nice big motor to power all arms at once and cleans excellently like an old fashioned machine. Absolutely love it.
