My sister has a 15 year old Frigidaire dishwasher that she got second hand that is so old it has a manual knob control to select the cycles. It has a plastic tub, no third rack and a loud food grinder instead of a filter. One of my best friends has a sterling top of the line Bosch 800 series dishwasher. My sister's Frigidaire cleans dishes including caked on pots and pans just as well as my friend's Bosch does. That's incredible to me. I would be just as happy with the Frigidaire as I would be with the Bosch.
After installing the fridgedaire dishwasher, just touch the start button it goes to heavy on wash, could not stop even Start/Cancel button hold 3 seconds. Is there no option to stop the machine?
I keep searching for the 18 inch that’s the one I want to review one is there any reviews for the 18 inch Frigidaire dishwasher I don’t wanna see 24s I don’t wanna see a bunch of stuff I want to see the 18 inch what does it have? How loud is it? Does it clean the dishes? Is it going to last does it have great service record or specific problems please I can’t fit a large dishwasher.
I bought a Frigidaire dishwasher in 2021 has broken twice in the past 18 months. Both times has been an issue with the main control board and the second time is now out of warranty and I have to pay out of pocket. I would not recommend them to anyone
We are renting and have a brand new Frigidaire dishwasher and it’s the worst dishwasher we’ve ever had haha. It’s probably the cheapest one they sell but we haven’t been impressed.
Sorry to hear that! Just to clarify... we recommend the cheaper Frigidaire model to house flippers or people with rental properties so they can pull off the stainless steel look on a budget. From a performance standpoint though, we typically wouldn't recommend one of these to one of our end user customers... the cheapest are pretty loud and build quality is not all that great. But again you get what you pay for and for the price it's a good looking machine at a really attractive price point for people that just need a basic dishwasher.
@@DesignerAppliances do you think that if you get a higher model that the reliability goes up? for example if you got a FGID2479SF instead would that do better? or should you stick with a brand like whirlpool?
@@DesignerAppliances yeah who cares if their higher-end products are good when there are always better alternatives from other brands at that price range. the matter of fact is frigidaire is a brand that pumps out these deceiving line of products.
We find one of the most common things that break on dishwashers is hard food grinders. Especially if something like a piece of ceramic or glass gets into it. Filters do a good job for most people, but if you don’t scrape your plates free of solid food before putting into the dishwasher than maybe a hard food grinder is right for you.

My daughter has a Frigidaire dishwasher for 13 years now and never had a problem.

We've had 3 Frigidaire dishwashers and none have lasted 3 years.

My plastic tub Frigidaire lasted 11 years. That said it’s pretty loud.
I'd rather have a hard food grinder than filters. I know that this makes for a louder dishwasher, but I'm willing to make the tradeoff.

Great video. Extremely informative
Thanks Nicole!
Great video. Very informative
Stay away from Frigidaire! Their dishwashers suck! Mine lasted a year! They feel cheap!
It's quiet but sprays mysterious green slime all over the dishes. Their customer service is also lacking.
wifi in a dishwasher? waste of money
