well, there's a mod that puts in levels from 06 into generations! even has a pack that readjusts the physics for playing as sonic, shadow, silver, and blaze! although it's only Sonic's story, and it only goes up to kingdom valley so far. still a great set of mods
Crisis City is more important to the plot but Kingdom Valley is the best stage from 06 and the stage that was marketed along with 06 so either one is fine
I remember me and my siblings days of Sonic....and I have one word. *OBSESSED*...and even though we kind of sucked in some of the locations, *shrugs* we where alright.
I have never had a problem with this level. It's run smoothly every time I played it and feels more like an adventure game than it does like '06. If only the whole game was like this
If all the glitches were gone, and long loading times.. the gameplay would honestly be fun as hell. It still was, once you learned how to play all the stages and master them. I still love this game and I understand the hate. The story sucked but damn the levels were so fun and beautiful. Dat music too.
I wish that this was the level used in Sonic Generations. Not only is this level the best put together but it just has so many cool things in it! Smashing Bridges down, Robots exploding and making blocks fly in every direction, tightrope jumping, eagle soaring, surfing on the wind, and running along a twisting and turning waterfall section that just looks so incredible! You have got to give this game this, it had alot of great concepts in it that just didn't get to reach it's full potential.
People complain about this game having too much glitches.. but after playing both Oblivion and Skyrim I can safely say this game is glitch-free compared to those two broken games.
I admit that those two games aren't perfect either. However, Oblivion and Skyrim are RPGs with a large field to explore.I don't think there are many game breaking issues either. On the other hand, Sonic '06 is very linear (which is not a bad thing) and has a lot of issues that ruin the game entirely. Getting stuck on the walls with Rouge and Knuckles, the Amigo characters have glitched attacks (like Knuckles or Omega), poor level design (cheap traps and vehicle sections for example), bad game mechanics (like you can't even stand on a rooftop without the game glitching on you, same as the sidewalks' edge). Shadow's campaign is really all about mashing X/A over and over again which is boring as hell. The story was bad too and I could go on like forever.
supersonic7218 It's not just the glitches that ruin the game. It's horribly designed. Knuckles' attacks can't even properly hit the enemies. Same for Amy. The controls just don't feel right. They wouldn't be bad, but they don't suit the level design at all. The boss battles are badly made too. When you fight the Egg-Genesis with Silver, you can't even see your own character. The Egg-Wyvern is boring and not challenging at all. The fights with Mephiles are basically killing a lot of enemies and that's it. The camera is horrible too. It changes it's angle in the middle of a jump. Sometimes, that occurs more than once. It's not fun to jump and have the camera angle changing 5 times. I could go on. But I don't think it's necesarry. I've beaten the game 2 times and have all the S ranks on the action stages and town missions by the way. I guess it was a bit enjoyable, but I wouldn't want anyone I know to play it and think that Sonic is like this.
Stuff like this shows that even broken games (don't get me wrong though, I enjoyed this game, a lot, but I can admit it is quite broken in a lot of areas) can be played through skillfully and can be fun to go through. Even the broken parts of the game coding can be used as ways of finding shortcuts. Just depends on the player pretty much. Unfortunately a lot of gamers today don't bother to even try to make games fun cause of crap like competitive events, not wanting to find secrets or glitches to enhance gameplay, arrogant reviewers who are too full of themselves who pretty much demand you think what they think of games, and a good bunch even resort to bullying those who do like lower rated games. Plus none of those people even act maturely, cause "following the crowd" apparently. In my own *personal* opinion, the game isn't as bad as everyone says. It controls a lot better than what everyone thinks, it's got level and environmental variety, it doesn't focus *entirely* on Sonic, and speaking of, I kind of like seeing a more sensible side to him apart from his confident cocky attitude. Not saying he can't have both, just shows him becoming a better hero. And if I may say, the story's ok. Better than no story period. For a rushed, un-debugged game, it did alright. And finally, no immature/hateful replies, my opinion, not yours, respect it or get lost!
True about what you said. I enjoyed the game myself, even if there were glitches and bugs, especially the OST. Mother of God, it's GODLY. And that's saying a lot, and this comes from a long time Sonic fan. The gameplay was also pretty good, if you're not a glitch finder, that is. The story to the three main characters (Sonic, Silver, Shadow) are , well, okay for each of them, but Shadow's a bit better. So for a conclusion, you're correct, the game did do alright, and it should be like that.
Sonic denies every freaking physics law in this stage, but then again, Sega never thought of ANY physics this game... To put it simply: "Physics? What are those?"

That's not really fair though. The graphics themselves are nice and are what you'd expect from an early HD game. Just because you don't like the art style doesn't mean the graphics themselves are bad.
And that Ladies and Gentlemen is the definition of perfect Sonic the Hedgehog 2006 gameplay it's not the game it's just you suck at it so quit your bitching about the glitches and shit and just enjoy the fucking game and just don't suck at it jeez
How are her hammer attacks delayed? I don't have any problem fighting as Amy except in the End of the world level when fighting the Iblis Biters. Actually no the invisibility isn't pointless. In the End of the World level if you become invisible before any search lights or Solaris Eyes see you, you can run right through the whole level without any enimies attacking you and without any objects being thrown at you by the eyes. Just don't go into the searchlights because they can still see you.

06's level design is mostly poor but this is something else, this level is really good
Hehe, wait a year for another year and it would have been the best sonic. Sonic the Hedgehog 2007
I know that these graphics are a little bit outdated now but I still can't believe how many people I've run into who say that these graphics are terrible or are trash. Seriously? And these are the same people who praise SA1's graphics so how can they go and say this game's graphics are trash?
why does this look fun
maybe 06 is better than forces this looks legit
Sonic 06 really had the potential to be one of the best Sonic games if it was ready for release but it is still fun and nostalgic
Yeah I know. But still you can't say this game's graphics are trash and then say that SA1's graphics are still really nice.
That's not really fair though. The graphics themselves are nice and are what you'd expect from an early HD game. Just because you don't like the art style doesn't mean the graphics themselves are bad.
Why didn't you save after doing the trails? after that you could go to Kingdom Valley.
And that Ladies and Gentlemen is the definition of perfect Sonic the Hedgehog 2006 gameplay it's not the game it's just you suck at it so quit your bitching about the glitches and shit and just enjoy the fucking game and just don't suck at it jeez

FRONTIERS HYPE!
I think the way you play this game, makes it seem less and less painful
How are her hammer attacks delayed? I don't have any problem fighting as Amy except in the End of the world level when fighting the Iblis Biters. Actually no the invisibility isn't pointless. In the End of the World level if you become invisible before any search lights or Solaris Eyes see you, you can run right through the whole level without any enimies attacking you and without any objects being thrown at you by the eyes. Just don't go into the searchlights because they can still see you.
SonicJGB - What version of the game is this? I've watched your other level runs in this game, and you don't seem to have problems with loading or glitches.
He cuts out the load times and he knows how to avoid the glitches... somehow
***** Its possible lol, but probably not on your first run
