I can’t believe like one simple change like controlling your movement while jumping can make such a difference to a bad game design. And that’s just one of them.
Sort of. Shadow and Silver were the messiest, and combined with the brokenness those original two paths were 2/3ths of a broken game that felt like it never should have come out. I have yet to watch remake footage of the two but I’m hoping those are better than what we got before.
My favourite one is definitely Kingdom Valley! The Music, Atmosphere, Visuals, Realistic Artstyle, The Ancient, mythical looking Structures…. THE WATER!……. EVERYTHING Screams BEAUTIFUL AND STUNNING AND MYSTICAL!!!!! It’s amazing lol sorry if i sound exaggerating because I’m not at all, I am just a Massive Sonic Fan!!!!! 💙 (I just wish these levels/stages were longer in general…… because they’re so well designed and amazing in every single way, all of em! Especially now with this Magnificent Project! Shame is I have to watch these videos of it because I can’t even play it myself: I don’t have a PC let alone a good one to run….. a great many things hindered this game, including but not limited to: Yuji Naka leaving SEGA it being finished in time to not only qualify for the Christmas season, but also for the 15th anniversary of the Sonic franchise the development team being split in half so they could work on Secret Rings, which was made to make up for when a wii version of 2006 was found to be totally unfeasible
The story will still be criticised but that’s mainly on the Sonic Episode for feeling disjointed narratively as events just sort of happen because they have to, his arc villain having a scheme that gets forgotten halfway through and light in plot progression compared to the other two hedgehogs’ stories that have more intertwining threads which lead to the Last Episode.

A self purchased Nintendo switch with a singular self purchased game cause 60$ a piece and a parent purchased ps3 at like 6 years old. Self purchased games though.

They never added a mach speed to any other game man. The level designs in a lot of 06’s levels are better than most of the games that sega has came out with in the last 10 years. Everyone just hated on it for its jankiness while not really paying attention to the fact that the levels were actually well thought out.

Like maybe a louder thud to indicate he just slammed hard and transferred all his energy to it at once, or maybe a slight grind to a halt to emphasize his momentum. You need a PC with a decent microprocessor and a video card higher than an NVIDIA 1060 to play with low to medium graphics. The game is downloaded from a video link on the ChaosX channel called “Project '06 - Silver Release”. The game is a self-running .exe. So it can only be played on Windows. But I know there are video tutorials from other people who have been able to run it on Linux and Steam Deck.
Well it is: The egg carrier now has shadow on the ground 0:07, 0:03 sonic running at top speed now close his hand like in unleashed and generations, the UI this guy using is a part of the options in P06, 0:53 sonic when running on that loop is now automated so you won't fall off by accident like in the original. 1:03 sonic is looking back at the tornado (oh mah gawddd!!!), 1:47 there's a truck that you have to jump over (the real 06 didn't have that part). 2:02 aerial moving in mach speed (this one is the most clearly one in the whole video, I think), 2:28 very generous explosion even without the invincible power up :P. Also the wall jumping now has proper animations instead of sonic in that weird head landing from the original... welp that's all I can point out :)
That would require him to partner with Sega, and Sega would likely change a lot of things for the worse if it were licensed. Better we keep it a passion project.

This just proves that had Sega not gone through what they did when they were making this, it wouldve been Sonic's best game to date.
