Pau was around 13, I believe, when she started writing this song. The song is all about addiction. These ladies absorb as much info from books, movies, anime, TV, news, music, etc. They have a great sense of empathy to know what others are going through, in addition to the personal feelings they have. Lets just say they were born to do this!👍❤🤘

Many adults have posted comments about this song. They were in this spot as alcoholics and drug users or both and had given up. People were still hanging on to them. Some trying to help them. They didn't want to be helped. They wanted to be left alone in their misery. But somehow they were able to make it back. And this song reminds them of that. Some even said this song helped them come back.

Pau wrote this masterpiece at 13 and it is about the despair a person feels as they lose their battle with addiction. This came from a place of empathy and not from her personally. It is part of their XXI Century Blood Album available everywhere. Next from the same album I recommend When I’m Alone. This was written by Dany and one of my favorites.

@@magnificentfailure2390 Pau is a genius. She starts a lot of the songs and then Danny and Ale come in and the fill out, sometimes change it a lot and most other times run with it. But she also produces their live shows. The Mac next to her drum set has been there since Queen of the Murder Scene Tour. She runs everything on there. Click Tracks, MIDI's, any multimedia for the screen behind them (QOMS Tours). She learned how to use the software and program it herself. Dany's genius is less the technical and more the direct connect with the fans. Watch any Dany Day and its like she's the sister you always wanted or the best friend next door/down the street you always want to hang out with. None of it is pretence. She doesn't act all hard. She's sweet, she's adorable, passionent, and sometimes firey in all the good ways. And she gives you every once of energy she has on stage. And Ale is the consonant professional on the bass, that clear solid back up vocals. The glue that holds all the crazy energy and passion together. As she continues to get more and more comfortable with herself on stage she really is looking the part of one of the best female bass players in a long time.

Rumour has it that Pau wrote this about someone with an addiction , drugs or alcohol which ended tragically to a close friend of the Warning family . This is disputed by some fans though , and someone in the comments was supposed to find out for us , for sure , still waiting !

    • @saturnracer156
      @saturnracer156 3 года назад +3

@@anthonyfisher1670 No need to wait any longer.
Actually, according to Pau, in this interview from 2015 she says that none of her songs come from personal experience. This would have been about the time she wrote Black Holes. This starts right where she is asked where she gets her inspiration for writing songs ruclips.net/video/gOdapJWBCcA/видео.html
In the January 2019 Patreon VIP live chat, I asked Pau about how old she was when she wrote Black Holes, and told her how my wife initially felt sorry for her when she first heard it. Pau said she was 13 or 14, leaning toward 14 when she wrote Black Holes. She said, and I quote "Again guys. I don't really write from personal experience. I have a feeling, and I write from that feeling, but it's not like stuff from my experiences."
If you want to check it out for yourself, Join Patreon www.patreon.com/TheWarning/ as a VIP and go back and look at that chat recording at the 35:16 mark and you'll see.
In the February 2021 VIP monthly live chat, they were asked if any of their songs come from personal experience around the 18:20 mark. Pau again says that the songs are, “realistic fiction” and that there are no songs in the past two albums and EP other than Fade Away that are about personal experiences and feelings. She was speaking specifically about herself. Dany said she tends to write from personal experience or feelings.
There are a lot of people that like to claim they "personally" know them, and say they have "insider info". The ones I know that absolutely have insider info, are not the type of people to go around trying to gain street cred by sharing "insider info". They just laugh at all of the misinformation that gets spread and go about their business.
I've had several occasions where I was given "insider info" from people that fool many, but 100% of the time, I have found that info to be incorrect.
Unfortunately, if someone says something often enough and with enough confidence, it becomes "the truth", when they really have no idea what they are talking about.
Love this song though, and it is quite profound and heart wrenching. Masterfully written by a 13 or 14 year old.

Before QOTMS there was the 6 song EP called Escape the Mind, the 13 song album XXI Century Blood and the single Narcisista. Additionally, there are several covers and during the quarantine it was common for Dany to play and sing some song she especially liked around midnight. There are also videos from multiple venues and with other bands/artists. While the older stuff is all pretty good their voices have become much more capable as they have gotten older & perhaps some day they will do remakes of a few of the older songs that their voices can convey much better now.
BTW, the cover they did of the Metallica song Atlas Rise in 2019 at the Whisky a GoGo was remarkable. Especially since it was an encore at the end of 2 hours of original music.

It´s not a sad song, seeing in this way it´s an optimistic song when everything gone be better because it´s no way go worst than it is.

Yep, man, a song about addiction Pau wrote when she was 13 or 14. Thank God this isn't autobiographical. Still, their lyrics are beyond their years. Such talent. Suggestions for what to do next: Copper Bullets is another great song written by Pau. It's about domestic violence. From what i understand, it's based on a case that happened in their neighborhood. Someone else from the army I'm sure has better details on that. A good live video of it is from the Dakota Bar show. Pretty much anything live for songs from the XXI Century Blood album, just go with The Dakota Bar show. Another great song would be XXI Century Blood. There's an official video for that, but if you want a live version again go with The Dakota Bar, but also they did it at the Lunario show so can't go wrong with that. Looking forward to the next one, be well man

Sure there is a studio version. Check them out on spotify!
You did all of Queen of the Murder Scene and Choke. So they are safe to listen to there. 😅
This song is from their first album XXI Century Blood, which is also on spotify of course, so you will also find it there.
And yes! Such songwriting at this age is almost disturbing in a way. But it's also absolutely beautiful.
Have fun with your continued The Warning journey! 😊

Such a PAU-werful song! as others have said.. still lots and lots of TW to explore.. all the way from 9 year old Pau covering Taylor Swift- You Belong With me (so cute but badass lol) or the first time (I believe)of Pau drumming AND singing at 11 years old when they covered Twisted Sister-Were Not Gonna Take It! their performance and their school Liceo which has a absolutely AWESOME cover of Muse-Hysteria and 10yr old ALe just KILLING IT! same show.. Pau just destroys their covers of Foo Fighters Everlong and its very technical drumline. Then theres the 2 times they did TedX and their song Survive which 1) hooked many of us TWA-me included, and 2) was one of 2 songs they have on Rockband 4! so you have lots to go lol BUT since you said you like the Piano, I will give you 2 of their solo songs on Piano... first Pau's awesome cover or Radiohead Creep that you HAVE TO WATCH TO THE VERY END! ruclips.net/video/A6Y4XpBxjU0/видео.html and Dany's beautiful cover of Billie Eilish: My Future ruclips.net/video/QvKX9CzG1R0/видео.html Anyways all your TW reactions go on their Patreon Discord for other TWA to come watch.. thats how we show up in force on every reaction LOL Look Look forward to these 2 reactions after they go on your ever expanding TW list LOL thanks bud cioa for now!

Technically she did not feel like this, she wrote this song about a family friend with addiction.

Hi! Since you asked for it, here is the studio version of "Black Holes". ruclips.net/video/nhGpW7nj38k/видео.html
In the same line, you have the song "Copper Bullets", this time about domestic violence, from the same Dakota show: ruclips.net/video/nhGpW7nj38k/видео.html
    Enjoy!

I’ve not seen anyone provide a specific reference to a video, interview, livestream or comments where Pau, Dany or Ale say that Black Holes is about a family friend with addiction.
I HAVE, however, seen a Patreon Livechat from February 2021 where Pau talks about the realistic fiction of her songwriting and that there’s no song in the past two albums about actual experiences. (19:13 mins), plus another from 2019 where she says the same, specifically talking about Black Holes being purely fictional, plus an interview with Christie Pick from 2015 where they again say their songs are stories.
As I would assume that having a family friend with alleged addiction issues would probably count as having actual experience, I remain highly sceptical without evidence to back up the claims.
If Pau is wrong about her own songwriting and you know better, I’d been keen to hear.

Has anyone ever noticed that the piano part during the verses sounds a little bit like Don’t Stop Believing? Not a criticism, I love the song, just something I noticed.

Not all songs, even the saddest songs, need to come from personal experience. If you have imagination and empathy you can create art about such subjects without the need to have a personal experience. Kate Bush wrote all her songs and none of them are about her personal experiences. Sarah Malahlan wrote "Angels" about somebody else from that person's perspective and yet she never took drugs not ever overdosed.
Dont worry about Paulina, dhe is an happy kid. She just feels a lot and can put herself in other people's shoes and.... well, dhe is a firecracker when performing. No half-measures for that girl.

You also need to realise they are mexicans. While americans, especially WASPs or any other protestants, hold emotional reserve as a high standard of behavior even when performing live for an audience, mexicans, a catholic country, embrace and prefer emotions and operatic presentation as the way to perform live like a song.
