I just realized while you do have a little music on the intro but ZERO music behind you when you're talking. My hearing is shot. 1st from 13 years in the Marines, 6 years as an aerial photographer and lots of marksmanship. Then from chemo/radiation for throat cancer. I can't hear anything on a lot of RUclips channels because there's so darn much background sound/music. I can hear EVERYTHING you say!!! It's so clear. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

Friends are easily made here. Mississippi is the HOSPITALITY STATE.
I do live a little farther in the sticks than most people would like but I have lived in Pontotoc, Ecru, Thaxton, Hurricane, Who the Thought It, Yalobusha county 1/4 mile from Grenada Lake.
    Love the lifestyle here.

First off, we are happy you found the home you did and that it has all worked out as well as it has for you. In the overall scope of relocating from any home of 25 years, it's a monster move fraught with many more hazards than the threat of a few tornadoes in the neighborhood. Being from East TN, as we are here in the Tri Cities, Mikey had a pretty good idea of what he was getting into. You, Miss Syd, left everything you knew for somewhere that was only a vision, a dream, a story, and that takes heaps of courage. Kudos to you young lady for pulling up stakes and putting your whole world into your rear view mirror. Likewise, Mike entrusting you to go visit and make the decision on the property, buying sight unseen if you will, speaks volumes for his trust in you as his wife and partner and his regard for your judgment. Having watched you two over the past four or so years, the transformation has been as big as the move, and honestly, I think it has been for the better, for all of you. God bless you one and all. Okay, I'll ask the question all of TN is waiting for, when is Mike going to bring y'all up to Gatlinburg for the big subscriber meet n greet? Or if you ever come to Bristol, we're good for dinner at Quaker Steak n Lube. Just throwing that out there... ;-)

Love this! I help so many folks move to MS mostly from big cities, looking for a calmer, more conservative life. And to your point about digging into the hyper local statistics of the area you're looking at...I so agree! We are in Madison, MS, close to Jackson, but total 180 from all the drama in Jackson. So, for folks that do need to be close to a bigger city for hospitals, jobs, etc, do your homework and don't rule out a good town just because it's close to a "bad" city...if it has it's own police force, schools, water, etc, it's likely a good candidate! Thanks for spreading the love of Mississippi!!!

It’s a double Blessing to help the tornado victims. The help they receive and the one you get in your heart for being there for them. I know what your saying on not videoing the help but it would be neat to capture just the humanity part of it on camera ie: the helping, the true caring the coming together. I say that only because the media bombards us with so much division footage for all to see it would be nice to change there narrative. God Bless You.

If you like freedom….. you are in the best place regardless of the weather. Anywhere you live you will always deal with something. I’ve lived in the memphis Tn area since 1980 and have not experienced any damage from weather events period!
