THANKS for the video ! I own the "twin" to your RG3 (I purchased mine a months ago). I have spent the interim working with my dealer getting the mods installed and taking short day trips. All the while wondering - like you - how am i gonna pack for week long trips. So your video was very timely . My basic plan is "reduce" everything I carry.. clothes, toiletries, and beer and will strap my biggest piece of luggage to my luggage carrier. Anything left over stays home ... FYI *** I have 1800 miles on my RG 3 and just recently replaced my factory rear suspension with Legends REVO-A, 13.6 shocks. Makes a HUGE difference in rider comfort !!! THANK YOU again for your videos ...... Ride Safe !!!
I will share this information with my husband about the Shocks. I guess for me it does not bother me at all. For him, coming from 2 wheels it is a little different. Yep, my philosophy, if it does not fit, I do not need it. I am going to buy a couple rain proof duffle bags (vertical). I think that may do the trick. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Melissa! Great video. Lots of good stuff. You have to pack like you are on your own. No phone, no stores, no bank, etc. Whether people know it or not, or if they even care, bad times could be coming our way. You have to be ready for any scenario. Example: I had to get new plates for my car. I went to the bank ATM to get extra cash, it was just across the street from DMV. ATM closed. Bank closed. I remembered The Giant Eagle across the street had an ATM. Success! What if everything. was closed and you had no access to your money. Always carry extra cash in small bills. If you are on the road and the power is out, some places might take cash, but cannot give change. Safe riding Melissa. Be careful on your own. .......................... 😎👍👍
EXACTLY...always on my mind. I refuse to stay home and let the what ifs keep me from having fun, BUT I dont want to be stuck out without some means to get by. Thank you, Joseph (as always appreciate your time and feedback).
Riding single you can carry just as much on the RG3 as the Tri Glide. Fill the trunk with stuff and two duffle bags. One on the rack and one on the seat. Anymore than that, take the truck.
I think a couple of upright duffle bags (like Adam Sandoval shared in one of his videos) would work nicely. I tend to overpack and am working on changing that.
A couple of things. Being a Freewheeler rider for a while now, I learned things for storage. 1st. Amazon has a great soft waterproof carrier that mounts right to your luggage rack. It will hold as much if not more than a medium tour pack. It straps securely to the luggage rack so no fear of losing it. Check it out. 2nd. I installed lower front fairings with storage compartments. They will hold your paperwork, sunglasses, small emergency kit, flashlight and other small items. Theses make getting those items quickly without having to unload your trunk.3rd A windshield bag comes in mighty handy for small items and doesn't take up any space. With the exception of the lower fairings everything is quick disconnect so you have the freedom to decide how much you need for short rides. Ride safe and enjoy the Ride. Peace.
Trike twin, great pack set-up, this brings you confidence boosting gusto to go on those multi-day trip/rides and not be afraid of a thing. As a guy, I can use your packing set-up as a blue print for when I decide to go on an "overnight" or longer trip! Have great success with being a role model-not just for the ladies, yet, for the guys that travel on 2, and, on 3 wheel's. As a nurse by skill, you know how to pack "the right stuff"!👍😁😎🦅 Encouragement the ladies to follow their dreams to the fullest, and, have them text you about their trips-maybe even send you a few e-photos of their adventures on 3 wheel's! Doug😎🦅🏍️🐻🧸
Thank you for watching and sharing. I like to be prepared for sure. Encouraging others (ladies) to ride and share is a passion for me. I appreciate you watching.
Hi from Melbourne Australia! I've ordered my RG3 - Billiard Blue with black engine. It's gonna take a few months to get here, I traded up from a Sport Glide. I'm looking forward to long trips and weekends away which I couldn't do easily on my Sport Glide. The Autralian National HOG Rally is in September over in South Australia which will be my first big trip on my new bike. Looks like I can get all the stuff i need to take - I'll have the backrest and luggage rack so I should be good to go! Thanks for all your videos! These, and others from other youtubers, helped me to choose the Road Glide 3. Safe Riding, Steve
Hey there, Steve. Excited for you to get your RG3. You will love it. Thank you so much for watching. Keep me updated and let me know what you think when you get yours.
Love the video! 2 things I think are missing 1- change of sox 2- a compact size pew pew bang bang Unless you already carry ? To Make sure you get home.
Yep, a change of socks for sure in the bottom of the bag, and I did not want to show it or the sharp-edged item in my pocket.... :) Thanks for watching and the necessary items.
I have read multiple book (Borrowed World by Franklin Horton and Going Home/Survivalist Series by A.American) and the one thing I will not be is unprepared in the event of a world changing event like an EMP/CMP or terrorist attack that will leave my transportation not working or unable to get gas. If I have to hike home, I need to have some things with me to help me get there. If I ride 100 miles away, count on a minimum of 2-3 days to get home and that is if I can walk up to 30 miles a day and conditions allow it. Thank so much for asking. I like the videos to be upbeat without mentioning the things that could go wrong and make it depressing. :). Note, in those books are many sad stories of what happens if you are not prepared.
@@MidLifeStyleTwins Thanks for your reply. I have never thought about what you mentioned - it is something to consider. By the way, I enjoy your videos; I just made the switch from two wheels (2018 Ultra) to a 2024 Road Glide 3. Now I just need some warm weather so I can ride it (I live in Ohio)!
You found a lot of room and didn’t even have to use the luggage rack. I saw an item from J&P Cycles called a Bitwell 80 sissy bar bag. Haven’t got it yet but looks interesting.
Thanks Donnie. Would love to ride down and do a collab video with you. Maybe I will get my husband out and we can come down. Though NOT in the summer. SC is bad enough ... that will be a fall or winter project.
Thank you. I have one and will put it on for longer rides. I just hadn't yet. Hope you are doing well. My husband is in Arizona for work ... he is loving the non-humid climate. I would love to ride out your way someday again and may have him talked into it.
I am in contact with Low Country HD, they are going to be getting a Red Rock and a Black Triglide in. I am planning on doing a walk around, review on the Triglide. I will incorporate a comparison. I can also do one based on the fact that I have had 2 Triglides and 1 RG3....
Better safe and prepared! The hard part to consolidate! Especially public rest stops those mini Kleenex packs for toilet paper! Been there lolol!have a blessed ,safe day! The world filled with anal cavities!
Yes! Makes the ride much more relaxing (for this A personality type gal) knowing I am somewhat (though not fully) prepared. Dont want to be stuck on side of road without shelter, food, water, communication or security. Thanks for watching.
Thank you so for watching and the suggestion. I will keep the trailer idea in mind but for now I love that I was able to downsize this far. Would love to know what I am preparing for, but so much could happen out there. Did you serve in the military or as an Army Ranger (if so THANK YOU SO MUCH for your service).

Great job downsizing and still keeping what you need!!!! So organized!
Thanks, Zina. Yes, happy to be able to keep what I did.
You are definitely organized! Great work.
Ha, I like to think I am. Thank you so much for watching.
Great video. I feel your pain on repacking the 72hr BOB. It’s hard , you want to take it all!! Great job, love your new setup!
Thank you!
Great job
Thank you, Ben!
Excellent, my wife is looking into her first Trike. She rode a "regular " bike for several years. Thank you
I am so glad I made the switch. I love three wheels. I am so much more relaxed and enjoy the ride more because I can relax. Thanks for watching.

@@MidLifeStyleTwins awesome 👏 I know gotta keep it politically correct for the haters!!
Curious about where you’re riding that could result in a 2-3 day walk home - at best! A get home bag seems over kill to me.

@@MidLifeStyleTwins how far off I-95 are you? I’m headed to Laconia on 06/06. Riding my RG3 up there for the rally.
Awesome video Thank you for sharing ,
And thank you for watching.
Il est super beau le road glide 3 j'adore 👍
If you haven't already, you should consider a backrest for yourself. It will greatly improve your comfort level. Great video as always.

Could you do a walk around comparison between the Tri glide 3 vs. RG3. Pro’s and con’s

Very organised 👌🤜
Almost to a fault! LOL. Thank you so much for watching.
Hi, what brand is ur tank bag? The one that I have fit on my Softail, not so much on my freewheeler. Thank you!!
Nelson-Rigg Route 1 Journey Highway Cruiser Magnetic Tank Bag, fits Harley Davidson, Indian, Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki and more
Always remember. If you don't have it with you, buy it on the road. If you buy too much junk on the way, UPS will take it home for you.
That is a good idea. I had someone else tell me that you can have things mailed to a HD dealership down the road and pick it up there. Thank you.
It needs a wishbone suspension in the rear.
That straight axel is brutal.
Good video though.
What is a wishbone suspension? Thank you so much for watching.
@MidLifeStyle Twins
A good example would be the front end if say a CanAm bike .
WHAT tank bag do you have?
a.co/d/4VRHYPz. I bought this off Amazon.
Don’t forget an extra pair of socks in your 72 hr emergency bag!
Yep...they are there...
You have a lot packed in there. 😎👍
Yep. I like to be prepared and I am organized. If I can find a way to condense it down more, I will. Thank you for watching.
Get a pull behind trailer
And miss out on playing Tetris ... seeing if I can get everything in the trunk space...? :) LOL.
My lissa do you ever go camping?😅
I have RV camped, but no, I have never moto-camped. It is on my to do list.
@@MidLifeStyleTwins Melissa you are so perfect love 😍 your videos
Guess you'll need to get a trailer to tow behind it.
If it is not on there now, I do not need it or will have to live without it. :). I am so trying to downsize. Thanks so much for watching.

Army Rangers don't pack that much gear for Afghanistan.....you need to seriously consider attaching a trailer hook to your bike.

Except for clothes for 2 weeks
Or for 3 days at least which is what I carry on most trip...along with tide pods. :)
Thanks for watching.
No room for the brewskis.
Ha, that will be for my husband's RG3 storage. :). Thank you for watching. Get where I am going and then Uber Eats it.
Get a trailer like everyone else does
Yeah maybe after warranty runs out . THOUGH.. I think maybe I do not need that much stuff. :).
What about clothes?
I have a Ciro 60-liter duffle that I put clothes and toiletries in to fasten to the luggage rack.
Defiantly ready for a nuclear war.
Sort of... need a gas mask but that aint fittin on this motorcycle. LOL. Thanks for watching. :)
You need a truck
It I cant pack it on this trike, I am going to say I do not need it. Yes, that is a lot of stuff. :). Thanks so much for watching.
