Splitting Firewood With An Axe / Fiskars 36” Super Splitting Axe

I take advantage of the cool, clear weather to do some more firewood splitting. I discuss my general approach and some tricks to help make the job easier. I actually enjoy splitting wood. Once you get in the groove, it becomes almost relaxing and I find my mind wandering onto far flung topics.

Nice work! And excellent instructions, and camera work. Nice that you had this dry, snow-less weather to work.
I think we all enjoy repetitive tasks sometimes, as an opportunity to accomplish work, while thinking about other things.
