    I bought one at Lowes (hardware store with gardening section) and it was the only one left. It was in a box with one trap and the rest where just leaves with no traps. I bought it..4 days ago? It was so dry and brittle..but green. Its now gotten more softer. I'm hoping it will grow traps off its leaves. The one trap is toast : ( the plant gets plenty of sun and distilled water underneath. I also mist it once a day.

I gave it 2 insects since. I gave it a couple of drops of cold cooked water. I have placed it in water as one of your videos suggests. It's the beginning of winter and I see the one leave and one trap turning black. One other trap is turning yellow. All traps look to be closed now.

Still new to this but all the video information has been helpful. Only thing is some people are giving different information so it's been a pain figuring out which information is more accurate. All i know is that more light has helped mine and the dry blood worms are working for food. And the distilled water. And your advice about over watering helped. First, start by watering with distilled water. Water from the top to drain any mineral build up.
      If your plant starts looking sick, you can consider repotting. This guide has all the related info: venusflytrapworld.com/how-to-save-a-venus-flytrap-after-watering-with-tap-water/

      Also, my Venus fly trap is just a Baby is just got him. He came in a set that had a flytrap and a pitcher plant. I planted them in the same pot. Is this okay? The flytrap only has two little stems and no heads. The pitcher is still a seed. The tips of the flytrap stems are looking a little brown. Could this be because of the wrong water?

      You can buy them at online nurseries for carnivorous plants, also many vendors sell it in Etsy

    • @venusflytrapworld
      @venusflytrapworld  3 года назад

      @@papercreates6458 planting in the same pot can work, but I suggest researching about their dormancy requirements.
      Dying leaves can be caused by tap water. However, its sometimes hard to tell cuz Vfts like other plants also shed leaves.

    • @venusflytrapworld

      Good question! There is no exact rule, but this is what I got ➡️
      In terms of heat, vfts will do fine in hot temperatures up to about 95F. After 95-100F, your plant could be at risk of drying up. During winter they need cold weather (below 45F) and can handle temperatures below freezing (low 20s). In short, avoid letting your plant freeze solid or dry up 😉
