I was thinking about buying one. Think I’ll just stick to my cactus that seems to thrive off neglect. I went a month forgetting to water it and it’s doing great.

My fly trap from Walmart has lived for a year now thanks to your videos! I took them out of the fridge (dormancy) later than I should have so I’m hoping they come out ok now, but I did start with 1 plant, and now have 3. I keep mine under a grow light.
Was that terracotta?! Lol
They are native to South Carolina too. I played with them along the ditch banks of my grandmother's farm after my dad showed me what they were. They were huge. But don't forget SC, NC always gets credit for everything. They got us beat.😅
I have done it wrong for about two days before I found this video, I have had it in the sun go for about half an hour to three hours these past couple of days without knowing because my window doesn’t get very much light, I’m glad I found this video though it has been really helpful and I’m hoping that I can keep this plant alive even though I’ve done wrong so far

In San Jose CA, my FIL has kept his VFT healthy in the window for 54 years.
I got a Walmart rescue VFT in February when my local Walmart was finally selling them for spring and not in September. It's a little light starved but it's a quick growing plant! Trying rn to acclimate it and my other CPs to be outside, it was cooler longer than usual. Great vid on this topic, I do agree that we all been there impulse buying amd wondering how to take care of it😂

Good info! Thank you! I purchased a small Venus flytrap and a sundew at a local garden center. They didn't know much about them, and I had always wanted to try them. I will definitely get them out of the kitchen window seal now 🤦🏻♂️
