I like the animation. Also this is Chris Pine's 2nd animated film since Dreamworks Rise Of The Guardians (2012),where he voiced Jack Frost. This is Chris Pine's 5th Disney film. 2004 Princess Diaries 2 2014 Into The Woods 2016 The Finest Hour 2018 A Wrinkle In Time 2023 Wish
I am really exited for the movie! I dont love THIS artstile, but I love that its uniqe! And I'm very happy they are choosing to do this. I am really exited to see if the villain is a villain or an antagonist. And im exited for the songs too 😁
When they say "from the CREATORS of Frozen" they're referring to the same team that made Frozen; writers, director, story board artists...etc. When they say "from the STUDIO that brought you so and so", they're referring to Disney Animation studios. ...... If in the future they say "from the COMPANY that brought you ToyStory" then they're referring to The Walt Disney Company that owns both Pixar and Disney Animation studios.
indeed unique and reminiscent to the hybrid style looking shorts like Paperman, i guess is a way to celebrate the mediums altogether, even though it would have been nice ahand drawn comeback, But i think I shall eventually help with that
The more I keep seeing advertisements & marketing for this & knowing more behind the scenes of their animation for this movie, the more I’m loving it! Especially that I heard they mixed in water colour with this style CGI is truly amazing! I’m hoping to find the Art of Wish to find out more about this movie without giving myself a spoiler LOL.
I'm not gonna lie, at first I was also taken aback by the animation style when I saw the first trailer and to be honest, I still find it quite disturbing. It is not ugly by any means, like I love the colors but I feel like something's missing.. I think I'm simply used to Disney's curent style of animation with gorgeous hyper realistic backgrounds/landscapes and also textures (skin, hair, elements, nature) which to me, are a testimony of how far animation has come. So this mix between old and new animation style is definitely gonna need some getting used to for me, but that being said, I will go and watch it in theaters 😊
When I saw the teaser it was giving frozen vibes but this dose looks so good and to have the singing voice of the woman who give us angler basset did the thing song it’s gonna be brilliant ❤️. Also just a side note would u do a video on your view of this new Snow White drama I’m interested as the Disney fans that u are to know what u think 🤔.
@@malenejensen02 yea they have filmed everything but due to the backlash Disney are trying to get some kind of control as far as I’m aware it’s still being released but I’ve heard they will release it then leave it a few years a do it again hopeing the redo will shadow the fuck up of this one 🤷♀️
@@bellamovie2 yeah, I know they're trying to do that. Puss in Boots 2 did the same thing and it looks way more polished than this. This ends up looking like a cheap Fionna The First style animation.
It looks okay but I'm not a fan of the style I really wish it was more than just 3D with a little bit of 2D lining like I really wish they do more but the process they did for paperman in both 2D and 3D it looks amazing but in this style and this movie I just don't like it and this is supposed to be their big film celebrating 100 years with the company ! plus why do they have to give the animal Sidekick of voice that like a grown man rather than a kid and that's a lot of jokes about chicken and butts although the villain I'm glad we'll be back to the classic Disney villain all the one thing I wonder is will they give him a villain song it's been so long since we had a good Disney villain song the last one was in 2009 with the Princess and the Frog but I do not know if Chris Pine is that good of a singer all in all I'm just not sure about this film I'm going to have to wait to see the full movie to give it a full honest review but so far I'm not impressed with the trailer and the style!
It is celebrating a 100 years of Disney so it makes sense it is a mix of 3d and 2d. Some of Disney's biggest hits are 3d. You guysmare talking about appreciate every artist and then you shit on some them. You guys are hypocrites.
I kinda felt like the animation looked cheap...? It looked like Frozen, but with half the budget imo 😅 to be fair I'm not an animation connoisseur, and I'm watching this on my phone so maybe that's affecting my experience. I felt like Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem had a different animation style, but it served more of a purpose in giving the movie its own aesthetic and making the action scenes leap off the screen in a unique way and also made the movie feel younger but not juvenile, since it had a comic book feel. This... hmmm... just kinda looks like a lot of Disney's other stuff, except slightly worse? Idk about the plot, too early to tell for me :D
Basically, a spoiled apprentice who sets out to grant everyone their wish just because they have a wish. The king has a valid point. They just tried to make him the villain with a bunch of malicious expressions and randomly raised his voice to be aggressive. The idea that your wish should be granted, simply because you wish it so is foolishness. What if I had a bad wish to harm others. This girl would grant me my wish and in turn I would hurt the kingdom. Whereas the king would see my wish is not to the benefit of the kingdom and would not grant it. Hopefully, the protagonist's journey will be a learning experience for her where she may grant wishes and realize that not all wishes are good. Because if they're going to try and push the idea that everyone's wish should be granted just because you should get whatever you want, that is a dangerous premise.
The first teaser trailer looked promising but the second trailer now makes me want to see Disney's short Once Upon The Studio more than Wish For me, the second trailer made it feel like more of a Disney Junior movie (not because of the gorgeous) but with jokes that'll make kids laugh and it kinda makes me cringe a bit That's my opinion I have the same thoughts like your friend
good thing that in my case as an animation specialist and finishing my animation portfolio from THINK TANK TRAINING CENTER in Vancouver, I have a passion project for Disney animation with hand drawn animation comeback that is essentially based on a japanese disney attraction musically collaborated by Alan Menken and with dream casting choices of mine including broadway stars James Corden, Alfred Molina (deserving a villainous role), Seth Mcfarlene, among others that i am about to think eventually AND EVEN for once again a deserved role for James Earl Jones, and some writing choices that I would potentially cast as well (besides myself) for the sake of brainstorming ideas featuring the writer/creator of Amphibia, the screenwriter of Mario Bros Movie, and most importantly, at least maybe as a creative consultant, the legendary japanese writer Oda himself.😎
I think the backgrounds are stunning, but the people don't look properly rendered.
Exactly
try to watch a 4k trailer version, the official one is not the best resolution
5:46 The writer/writers knew what they were doing when they wrote this line.
I saw the movie and it's like disney had a origin story of all disney character references are in the movie
Asher is the Disney Smash Bros version of Rosalina. They both look after stars.

I am THAT exited I may even pay money to see it in theaters (I never waste money like that, so thats crazy!)

This premise seems interesting & I think the art style will look cool on a big screen but idk how it’ll age over time
What do you think of this new animation style???

looks new but I don't bother. it looks smoother and easier to look at than the spiderverse animation style, for me.
Looks unfinished and half assed
I don't like it, they should've committed to actually making it traditionally animated.
6:28 WHY IS THIS SO FUNNY?! 😂😂

About the Snow white. I want that too. I still dont get... Is she actually gonna be recast?! If so. That would be crazy! Haven't they already filmed?

I’d say this is like “storybook” design. Like straight from illustration in a fairy tale book
Yes, the animation does look unfinished
It's a mix with watercolor and CGI animation together
It's just a new style they're doing

u got the point wrong?! i dont wanna spoil but in the european trailer it shows he does the wishes for his EVIL magic🤷♂️
Definitely think the character designs are a bit different to the rest of the world. They don't look right but can't get my head around it
Anita from West Side Story 2021(Ariana DeBoise) voices the main lead.

I’m so sorry the animation looks like a webtoon. The older animations had style based on cultural references this is trash.
very excited , especially since it dropped right after the scott pilgrim trailer which disappointed me so😭
