  • The monstera dubia is a beautiful silver foliaged monstera that shingles up a vertical surface. Failure to climb will results in endless runners that are trying to find that condition. The care is very easy as I share with you in this episode. As usual, I propagate this and show you guys updates at the very end!

    • @onlyplants

    Hi, I'm new to plant keeping, I watched your forest floor potting mix video, I've used regular garden potting mix on my newly bought calatheas, is it possible to use shredded dried leafs to mix in the potting mix? (leaves from my longan tree), I'm on a budget.

    • @onlyplants

    Hey Sean, your dubias are so beautiful. I tried so hard to force mine to attach somewhere...i tried wood and mosspoles and even walls but they only produce runners and attach nowhere. I have no idea what can i do with that issue or what i am doing wrong 😕

    • @onlyplants
      @onlyplants  2 года назад +1

      I would tie it up and mist the pole often (but try to avoid the leaves). The humidity and moisture will encourage rooting onto the media

    I got a figurative slap in the mouth yesterday at the plant shop, $70 for a monstera Dubai about ten inches tall growing on a12 inch plank...I just can't justify that price tag just because I really really want one lol

    • @fwizzybee42
      @fwizzybee42 2 года назад +2

      The best thing to do is buy a runner off a hobbyist. People get distracted like Sean in the video then let them over grow their plank and then don’t want to deal with it. Have to do the prop work yourself but generally dramatically cheaper!
