Honestly, I watched this video and felt so prepared. Passed on the first try, as well, and interviewing brokerages. :) The preparation for what to print and bring with you was so helpful. A lot of people that were coming to test were not prepared, and it could only just add to the testing anxiety. I recommend this video to anyone who would be embarking on a California Real Estate career. I have been traveling and living in Nashville, TN and I flew back just to take my exam, and stayed at the La Quinta in the same parking lot, and just walked over. If you have a long drive, I would recommend doing the same thing, and just stay early so that you don't have to worry about being late or parking troubles. They will make you move your car, if you are not parked in the right place, and I just walked, so it's so much less stressful! Thanks again for the video, Sasha!

Hey Sasha , thank you for sharing your experience.
I’m located in SoCal and working to get my real estate license.
My question is, how can one become a real estate developer and get started with it. Do I need a real estate license, or some kind of education, are there any requirements to be one, where can I learn about real estate development, and are the rules similar in other states? It would be great if you make a video on this subject.
Thank you so much, and keep up the great work.

I took my test and failed back in 2011. I went in fully prepared and just froze and failed. Most of the questions I didn't know, I winged it and got wrong and on my way home I was like "Man, I knew the correct answer." I've signed up in April for new courses and 100% procrastinating. I would definitely suggest following the prep agent course and quizzes for California and not winging it. Also go with the mindset of if you pass it takes so much money to get started and they don’t tell you that. I don’t even practice real estate cause it’s just too expensive.

    • @MomDateWithSashaJay

The test covered everything except math. There is questions from principles questions from policies and practice. It’s a mix of everything and there are three different versions of the test. If you have been studying for awhile beforehand, don’t stress too much about it. A lot of it is common sense. If you at least did the prep agent practice questions the best advice I can say for an exam in like two weeks is to go over all of the practice questions again and make sure you get 100% and if you feel like things aren’t sticking, watch a lot of acronym videos. Or make your own acronyms up. I did that for a few of mine. I also listened to the RUclips videos on the way to the test site. Good luck. I’m sure you got it!

Hi, great question! I started studying 4 months before my test date, passed the first time, got my license, worked with an agency for a month and that was it. It was too expensive for me to even continue. Where I live in California that is something GAVAR where you have to pay quarterly fees that is expensive then you have to pay a brokers fee depending on where you work, then you pay for your own signs and marketing again depending on where you go. Also there are fees for the MLS just to access the homes. Lots of fees that I just couldn’t afford so that’s why I don’t do real estate anymore.
