This is a great bike for European market. It goes 25 km/h, or 16 mph, that is a legal speed limit for assisted E-bikes., also in EU it's illegal to have an ebike with the throttle. It got a cool design, and the small battery is OK (smaller the battery, the faster it charges when you need that 100 %), because this is not the type of bike you would like to ride for more than 20 miles anyway. This is for city commuting, up to 5-6-7 miles and riding in a legal way and without sweat. Also for this price and given it has a torque sensor this bike is priced pretty low for a cool designed bike. Let say look at Gocycle G4, it cost triple what this Honbike cost. Yeah you can buy a FAT bike with 1000w or whatever, but that is different category, and they are heavy AF, and they use much more space in apartment, and in a car. I would give this bike a score 8 of 10 for sure. Great bike, cool idea for shaft drive.
That's insane about the throttle. I could understand a limited throttle that only gives say 50%, but no throttle is insane. I do also understand the smaller battery charges quicker to 100%, but I still prefer bigger batteries. Even though they charge slower, (which really depends on the charger), they maintain a higher voltage for longer since they have more capacity which gives the motors a better kick.
I would liked to see you peddling this bike without peddle assist to hear your thoughts if this bike is easy to get up to 15 mph without peddle assist. Also a hill climb test with peddle assist on and peddle assist off. You know all these realistic scenarios one can get themselves into.
Nice Review !! I agree I use my throttle all the time I feel this would last about Six minutes with a throttle I do like the design though it's very Futuristic!! Brilliant Vlog Inja
I'm so tired of companies making ebikes that fold, but lack basic features that I can use as a heavy rider that lives out in the country and in hilly country at that. My road would DESTROY that ebike, and it couldn't even get me to my closest store, ONE WAY.

Great video, as has become your standard. Very interesting unique bike. Surprised the seat was as comfortable as it was. Impressive tech, and that screen is one of the better ones. Keep it up.
While they likely couldn't afford to do it, they could do an ad with Richard Roundtree and Samuel L. Jackson riding around on these, and then someone asks them "what's that bike?", they'll say something like > Just a shaft driven e-bike.
Love the design very modern, it's a shame it's assist only. but then again, looking at the body of it they probably couldn't fit much else in there and keep it a decently light folding bike.
not verry practical though moderns nice the seats fine but everything else is modern for the sake of modern with no thought to user servicability getting parts for this is going to suck hard like brake levers which on the topic of those brakes there litterally backwards by having them actuate inwards your weakest finger is closest to the pivot meaning it has to work harder things like pinky braking would be alot harder with this and a few other braking styles would be hampered by this all for the effect of saying oooh thats different i do like the sadle though looks interesting
Moral of this bike: bike needs a bigger battery and a throttle assist. Engineers did a good job on the design but cut corners on making this an actual commuter bike. Solid review
Dear inja bro, i really think you shud work on some of the small bike projects that u have instead of the big project so we or i dont have to wait so much for another episode. And do u guys have TCS in US?

Last two eBike videos and we're back full swing on building stuff. Just waiting for Kirk to finish the power train of the Ducati and have to release some stuff in the meantime.
Love the videos and liking this bike to get around campus. I am working at Auburn University. I have a question and video suggestion for you. What can you do when your batteries are dead and no longer take a charge? Can you change out cells in a built in battery pack or when your be ebike / escooter manufacturer is no longer making that model or no longer around?
Thanks! We've all been sick on and off for a few weeks. Just waiting for Lord Kirk to finish a couple things on the Ducati before new videos on that. New Parenthood has been fun so far!
They have belt drives models, as well... NO GEARS, NO THROTTLE, for these, and their belt drives...That's a deal breaker. Hills are an issue, longer trips... Thanks for the review. You just helped someone in Geelong, Australia.
Good looking bike, but > I don’t like a front hub motor, > it has no hydraulic brakes, > only one gear. I think, it’s easy to install a rear suspension on this bike
Apparently PowerJDM is sending all the orders when the giveaway ends! (Hoping in early April!! Lord Curt almost had the bike up and running!) Yeah that was news to me, I kept asking them where the orders are. And he's like oh yeah no we're sending them at the end.
That's what I was thinking when he said how far he got before the electric assist stopped working. The route looked fairly flat, so inclines clearly weren't an issue. Peddling at lower assist modes is better for riding in more built up areas where there are more pedestrians, when speed isn't really needed. All in all, it would have done 20+ at least, had it been on a lower setting.
Haha nice to see you getting a workout ...or did you ?? Anyway well done in not running it down too much as I'm sure they will send you more crap to review ?
He stated he does not like to need to pedal to move the bicycle…then why ride a bicycle? That is why you buy a bicycle is to pedal…he was better off getting an electric scooter if he does not want to pedal to move it 🧐🧐🧐
Could you recommend some cheaper e-bikes for obese people? It's hard finding one that supports 150kg+, can go at a decent speed, with a long enough battery life and long enough travel distance; at a price where simply buying a car is cheaper.
I don't think a peddle assist bike if for you, you clearly don't appreciate what these are intended for, try motorized transport maybe you will be less critical.
The brake lever is horrible. You can only use it with four fingers, otherwise you will squeeze your own fingers. Overthought design and overpriced. But everything can be sold to weekend bikers.
The Heybike been good...gets me to work and back home in 10 to 15 min
