    It's too bad Timati, the rapper, didn't name the coffee shop "Kosmos Kafe" using a circular logo of the first Russian cosmonaut who walked in space, using his [circular] helmet as the central figure with the name of the cafe in the Cyrillic alphabet. Or something just as originally Russian : for example, in English, Peoples' Cafe (phonetically, in Russian, "Kafe Ludgi"). And why so many coffee types? Why not create something more like a cafe in Vienna in the Russian style? Russian cakes and pastries and sandwiches are delicious! Write Timati a letter! What was he thinking? Why imitate what was there before when he could have created something that represents the Russian culture or homeland? If Timat is a [musical] artist then he failed when given this opportunity. The two examples that immediately came to my mind, written above, can be used by any Russian in Russia without attribution. Best wishes from me for a peaceful resolution of the war and prosperity for all Russians. Spasibo!

    Frankly, I don't understand why there is such a fuss about McDonald's and Starbucks leaving. It can hardly be considered essential. However, the real problem is the employees. If I understand correctly, McDonald's had about 60,000 employees in Russia. What happened to them? Are the equivalent businesses sponsored by the Russian state to keep unemployment down? Has every employee found a job with these new replacements?

    • @ericolirn8396
      @ericolirn8396 Год назад +1

      They stayed at their current jobs. Think about all of this as nothing more than rebranding + McDonalds losing future ties. Same employees, same food, same pay, same customers.

      For McDonald's I think that most would agree that loosing the ability to savor a Big Mac is no disaster. However loosing a model company like McDonald's and it's processes is a huge loss. I doubt that either McDonald's or Tasty Period will be available in Russia in 5 years time.

    • @mrbradley1
      @mrbradley1 Год назад

      You don't understand it cause in other civil and normal countries McDonald's is shit for poor people. In Russia it's really good with good structure and environment plus good food so many ppl like to have a lunch here, spend their time, just have some fun with friends. It's more than just a fastfood here in Russia.

      @@gregdk3791 what model does McDonald's offer the other food chains don't? FFS, it wasn't exactly popular in Russia and never made it to the eastern part of the country as there were better food places with better business models already by the point McDonald's cared to expand. That's just a drop in a sea, and a rotten one. Nothing to miss.

    • @MybeautifulandamazingPrincess

      The reason for that is because the Western companies that had to leave due to the sanctions, "sold" the business to Russian companies, so when the war and sanctions are over they'll buy them back, and continue to operate in Russia normally. That's why they're keeping the businesses as they were just changing some things

    • @jconrad8585
      @jconrad8585 6 месяцев назад

      Why wouldn't they do that? It's the same business but now owned by Russians instead of foreigners. Why would they change something that's already popular? Just keep it unchanged as much as possible and rake in the money
