    Question of the day: What is your favorite thing you bring along to organize your cabin?

      Pop up hamper and a kitchen sized trash bag. Also a few laundry fabric sheets for odor reduction. (Think teen sport items)
      Use the hamper, when filled, roll the dirty stuff and place into trash bag, refill hamper and repeat process through our cruise. Easier to pack stinky things in the trash bag, rolled takes up less space.

      I ALWAYS bring a neon yellow highlighter to use on the new daily schedule when I get it the night before so I don't miss the activities I'm wanting to do the next day.

      Magnet hooks and over the door shoe organizer for pretty much everything... (Except shoes 😉). Also I like it very dark in my stateroom at night. I use glow sticks (bracelet) to put on doorknobs and around anything else I might want to see at night but don't want it too bright...like My water bottle,

    Awesome video! I love bringing the shoe organizer. Keeps the counters empty! We also use the bigger ziploc bags to hold our laundry and as each bag fills up, it goes straight into the suitcase. Less to pack on the last day!! 😂

    Excellent video, for me the night light is a must, especially for that first night in the cabin getting up to go to the bathroom, it will help prevent stubbing, breaking a toe or tripping over things since your in a strange room. And I also bring along some note cards and leave one everyday for the room steward, wishing them a wonderful day.

      LOL. Yes. We don't want any bum toes. So fun to leave notes for the steward! They work very hard and we appreciate all that they do!

      @@TheTravelScouts I wonder if the mirror light might be dim enough on the Mardi Gras to provide a night light or if they thought of a reading light in the staterooms.

    Great video! I saw someone use clothes pins to hold their towels on their chairs on my last cruise. I picked some up for my next cruise to use on my balcony and pool side. I really like your ideas with the shoe organizer and post it notes. For the fridge door can you show how to get the circulation when you board Mardi Gras? I really appreciate these videos.

      Hi Gina😁 Thanks for watching and commenting! Yes. I can video the fridge cooling trick. We will see how it works with a new ship. I am hoping with cabin design on Mardi Gras maybe they fixed that problem.

    You mentioned a speaker. I know that Hamm radios are not allowed but that is hugely different than AM/FM radios. I would love to take a small radio with us to listen to local stations while on the beach at our ports of call. I cannot seem to find out if they are allowed.

      Some private day pass beaches will ask you to keep your music down, as they have a band and don’t want the competition.
      Have had table mates in the past that shared that story.

    Do carnival have a/c controls in the cabins?

    • @TheTravelScouts
      @TheTravelScouts  2 года назад +2

      Yes they do but they are not the best...it's like low, medium, or high. lol

    • @SandyToes75
      @SandyToes75 2 года назад +3

      IF your cabin seems to be baking, even when sailing(sometimes it is warmer when docked), call guest services and ask maintenance to come check it out. Sometimes they can adjust a control in the ceiling to make it cooler in the cabin. Always worth a try. Remember to give the guy a tip. He just might have saved your cruise.

    Are the hallway walls and your cabin door also metal?

    • @lovedfriend2020
      @lovedfriend2020 3 года назад +2

      @Deb Wright. I found this. Are Carnival cruise stateroom doors magnetic?
      Stateroom doors measure 78.4″ high by 26.75″ wide, and they are magnetic. Please note that decorations must be flame retardant and come off the doors easily without damaging the door or leaving any marks or residue. We recommend you bring magnets and/or Command Strips to decorate and hold your decorations in place. Here is another website you can check out: www.cruisehive.com/what-you-need-to-know-decorating-your-stateroom-door/23436

      It makes it an organized space.
      Especially helpful in a smaller cabin, or a cabin where you are sharing the space with 2 younger children. Some families even have 4 kids in one cabin and parents in adjoining cabin. Organized space makes a world of difference.

    Door decorations caveat. Make sure your line allows it. NCL does not.
