I played one of these 20 years ago and it..and a J45 banner in the mid 80's..were the best guitars I ever played..both had a few cracks in they're tops. i would have loved to have one of these 00-45's
    at something I could afford.

you are showing off everything BUT the guitar. Hit an open 4 finger G and let it ring. The spruce top in that guitar is at least 100 years old PLUS the time Martin aged the stockpile before they made the guitar. Some Martin spruce was aged 50 years BEFORE they made the guitar. All thas short stroke stuff full of mutes and stops does nothing to show of the sustain and overtones that should come from such old hardwood. Chime the guitar and let it ring, see how long you can hear it. It's all about the overtones. Stills played a 1918 00018 on the song "back queen" It's not only a great piece of guitar work by still, solo recorded, but it's also the most incredible sounding guitar I have ever heard. He lets the guitar do the work in several places. But then, you no Steven Stills are you.

Carbon Crank Next time you’re in the vicinity of a guitar like this make sure to film yourself playing it and upload it to RUclips so you can show all the other inferior musicians that are actually out there earning a living playing how it’s done.

@@Dagger_323 Listen, bozo, I didn't claim he was an inferior musician. Inferior to Stephen Stills Maybe, but we all are. I believe that miraculous stunning guitar to be the same as the guitar Stephen Stills used on "Black Queen". One Voice, one guitar, and the guitar is the most fantastic sounding guitar I've ever heard. Go listen to the song and come back and tell me if I don't have a point about this guy not letting this guitar do what that old wood will allow it to do. Which is pouring overtones into each sustained notes especially in first position chords. Black queen drones a drop d through the whole song. The sound of that guitar is astounding when you let that old wood ring out as it can.
I could get my Taylor out and make a video showing you what I mean in a few minutes. But it wouldn't be on that guitar.

Carbon Crank only bozo is you. Someone doesn’t have to play like your personal guitar hero to do a guitar justice.

Carbon Crank I didn’t say you insulted anyone, but you insulted the demo. I’m really not sure what you’re making such a big deal about it for. So what if he didn’t play first position chords? The guitar sounded great as played and gave everyone a good idea of what it sounds like. Do people have to do a demo that fits your criteria for it to be deemed “good”? Your initial comment reeks of arrogance and I called you out because of it. You can try and backtrack all you want but it doesn’t change anything.

As much as this is full of cool chops, it is just not the right guitar to playing them on. I wanted to hear more correct fingerstyle to really hear how the guitar responds.
