My turbo let go on the dyno in the same way when it went in for stage 2 tuning, I’ve since blown another IS38 and then a Littco L380x within a few hundred miles of eachother, my cars currently in for a complete engine rebuild as there’s an oil supply issue within the engine causing the turbo bearings to wear out and let go, the turbine wheel shears off and goes through the exhaust leaving the compressor wheel to dig itself into the compressor housing. That map sounds shit, as others have pointed out it was surging on both runs but you also need to make sure you have sufficient oil pressure to the turbo, the turbos on these are supplied oil from the crank bearing, when these engines are rebuilt poorly it can affect oil pressure to the turbo, I.e. incorrect crank bearing clearance.

Not jumping around now ouch 😩
Not really, seeing something you put ££££££ and so much time almost getting destroyed in front of your eyes
@@Alex-Sisu yeah that’s like watching someone you love get tortured. Feel for you bro
What has onyx said about this
That they can offer me a used is38 with 33k for £900 plus £120 oil change and £65 an hour to clean the system but ofc I have to firstly make sure my engine it’s not affected and if it is it’s not going to be covered by then so I’m looking between 5k and 10k to much bro I’m so done
@@Alex-Sisu is38 new is £600 lol, they taking you to the cleaners
😭😂😂
@@Alex-Sisu feel your pain shit i have been there with written off cars maf sensors, cracked cylinder heads, head gaskets etc etc you will be rolling in something nice that spits flames

Glad your not at devils 😂

Do you have no cats?
I have a cat back
@@Alex-Sisu hmm I've seen a few golf r blowing their turbos and usually starts with spitting flames
😭😭😭
Says it all, rubbish onyx map with stupid pop and bangs
Not sure if it was the pops but it could of been
@@Alex-Sisu the issue it majority of companies apart from 3 or 4 actually know how to tune a is38 properly to give it a fighting chance. What exhaust set up do you have?
@@bigeater1310 full scorpion decated with cat back and valved system
@@Alex-Sisu is the cat back resonated or non resonated?
Non resonate
u want more and more..and blame tuner now...
Did I say I want more? I wanted safe power
Mine was 345 stage 1
Mine was stock 340 well “stock” without the tune
@@Alex-Sisu There is no way its hitting 340 without a tune mate. 315 -320 would be able the max with an eblow and r600 on a very healthy engine. That dyno is really happy or its not stock.
My car it’s stock in terms of ecu and tcu, anything else it’s not stock so it does make sanse first tun 340 and second from the heat went to 326 i’m only telling you what they told me
@@Alex-Sisuhappy dyno or dyno needs calibration. You would only make extra 25 bhp max with additional hardware
These things happen you can’t slate this company poor form tbh if you want to play you need to be prepared to pay well know weak point on the golf r and s3 platform
I didn’t blame or slate anyone, just sate what happen, we will come back bigger and better
@@Alex-Sisu your kinda running this company’s reputation as a business owner I don’t think it’s cool
@@MrJapcarsthe company ran too much boost and popped the turbo… they can wash their hands ?
@@MrJapcarsno he isn’t he just documented them doing what they shouldn’t have done it’s outrageous that you can think any of this is his fault for videoing it🤬they don’t know how to tune the is properly, they didn’t pick up on surge then started the car after turbo had gone and washed their hands whilst charging him full price? Nahhhh. Eco wouldn’t have done that. NVM wouldn’t have done that. VRS wouldn’t have done that.
Do people still buy golf R’s 🤦♂️ the worst and most rinsed car on the uk roads,
People do yes
Haha pay to play, that's the name of the game

I know a good scrap yard for vws
Very funny, ha
I will have my venom 550 or venom 9 turbo for sale in the next week or so 😊
How many miles on it? And how much?

Invest in a more robust platform. You're modding a 4 banger, and this should be expected. Good luck pal.
@@HiddenTide I would love an M5, RS6 or an GTR 35 but the insurance it’s crazy, for me they are asking almost the same price as the car itself 😭
@@HiddenTide thank you so much bro!🙏🏼
Should’ve gone to NVMotorsport🫣
To late now😭
100%
His right you should have went to mabz his been in the game for years and he explains in detail why you shouldnt go above certain boost pressures and explains to the audience the get go such as things temps, timing pull, throttle etc @Alex-Sisu
@@Alex-Sisuget the new turbo and go to nvmotor sports his not lying
@@Alex-Sisu do not sell. To me it’s a turbo issue, this is an easy fix with time. But don’t go anywhere else other than NVM. I promise you he’s the MAN when it’s comes to German/ VAG. I’ve had my Cupra done by him (stage 2 manual) still on stock turbo. I’m changing mine very soon though as it is a weak point you can’t avoid unfortunately.
