Well if Dovahkiin becomes a divine then shit becaue that means little Olaf 100 years later will worship a vampire assassin thief champion of all the daedra who shouted goats from mountains and pickopcketed the clothes of guards in the road.
Mine would be an Orcish stormcloak/werewolf/was temp a vampire/vampire hunter/sadistic/cannabalistic/assassin of the dark brotherhood/dwemmer enthusiast/champion of all the Daedra
Little Olaf would be worshipping an Evil Nord Warrior fully clad in Ebony armour, with the Ebony Mail, wielding the Ebony Blade that he used to betray his friends for immense power, and practically handed Skyrim over to Ulfric singlehandedly while simultaneously becoming Thane in every hold and leader of every guild. Oh, and killing Parthurnax. I'd prefer to be worshipped as a Daedric prince, or given immortality as the Daedra's greatest champion.
Yung Venuz God of guns lucky! The only time I have ever beaten a troll is when I had full legendary drastic stuff or when I used mods that gave me OP weapons
KaitlynHadley you must be bad all I use is a steel sword because my dragonbone sword is to good it makesit boring I only use the dragonbone sword for legendary dragons and bosses
Tane Hickey I'm not bad trolls are legit harder than alduin. He's just a dragon plus you have all that help from the other fighters, whereas trolls regenerate and I Usally don't have a follower so it's harder
So, I wonder how Dovahkiin could be remembered in the future. I mean, all that for instance Talos did was being a dragonborn and conquering Tamriel, and he is considered to be the greatest hero ever. And on the other hand Dovahkiin was a dragon slayer and killed the world-eater himself, so that eventually leads to him being the saviour of the world, and possibly with the ability to absorb dragon souls makes him the most powerful hero to ever walk on the lands of Nirn.
Drakeo Lawhead If you think so basing it of what Talos did, then you are so wrong. Talos became a god only thanks to his trickery and betreyal. He didi become another god but instead he murdered Lorkhan and took his place.
+Louis Nuñez In creation of Mundus other aedras only destroyed the divine body of Lorkhan, but his spirit lived on. Thanks to powerful mages, a long time later he was revived in a body of long dead nord king. In that body, Lorkhan assisted Talos in conquering Tamriel, but Talos needed a divine power for his dwarven giant Numidium. Lorkhan's soul had that kind of power, so Talos betrayed him. He killed Lorkhan and absorbed his soul into a gem, which was later known as Mantella.
+John Starling No that's not what happened. Talos, or Hjalti, did not kill Lorkhan. He wanted to use the Heart of Lorkhan but it was gone, so he had to use another power, enter Ysmir Wulhfgar, Talos' companion. Talos betrayed Wulfgar and put his soul into a gem to power the Numidium. Wulfgar, in no way was Lorkhan, but he was a Dragonborn who fought for Lorkhan's heart against the Dunmer. If Talos had killed Lorkhan, it would have destroyed Nirn which is essentially the soul of Lorkhan. However Talos became divine by mantling Lorkhan, taking his place in the hearts of men.
If Akatosh only wanted Alduin destroyed and not the entire dragon race, then how come there's no way to outright refuse Delphine and Esbern's order to kill Parathurnaxx? After Alduin is dead, you end on the top of that mountain with Parathurnaxx and the other dragons. They all seem to acknowledge the Dragonborn's power and place among dragon kind. I always thought it would be cool to be able to rule the dragons, but not in the same way that Alduin did. Maybe even start a new empire with the Dragonborn as Emperor or Emperoress. With the Dragonborn leading, and the help from the dragons. The Thalmor would be defeated.
It could be a Ka'Po'Tun over from Akavir. The Ka'Po'Tun is a race/country of bestial Khajiit like race whos leader turned into a tiger striped dragon. The dragon was massive, much larger than any other. I hope that this helps :D
Well considering all the things that happen in the DLC's and the main game, there's a good chance that the Last Dragon Born, brought a new rule to Skyrim, gained immortality through vampirism, obtained untold wisdoms and power through daedric lords, became the true ruling factor in Skyrim through companions, thieves guild, mages college and dark brotherhood, and by being a thane in every hold. Over all you can basically become as strong as the guy in 8:20 in the game, so who knows how far the dragon born could go.
Angry Chicken Calm down people I just meant that as ONE possibility out like 600. But if the Dragon Born joined dawnguard and didn't become a vampire, in my previous synopsis, he probably will have really nice time explaining how he became the champion of 15 Daedric princes at once, when he eventually dies and all of them try to claim his soul for their oblivion.
Parsa Ghazaleh I joined the Thieves guild after killing everyone as the Dark Brotherhood, using the magic I learned from the College of Winterhold, brought peace to Skyrim by killing Tallius, and soon became the protector of Skyrim by kiling off all vampires with the Dawnguard, after becoming a werewolf due to the Companions, lol.
Doesn't the player have a legit claim to the throne of ceroydill . He is dragon born, if you think about it there should of been a dlc where you go to ceroydill and announce yourself emperor, but the thalmor doesn't like you and tries to assassinate you but you survive and awaken a war machine and battle the thalmor and wage war on the aldmari empire
Wtf is that bullshit? The player is dragonborn. He doesn't need a freaking war machine! He could of shout at those thalmors instead -.-!Play more Skyrim and learn how to fucking SPELL you IDIOT!
Heroicon 23 Well I have not played skyrim in a month or so and I have forgot most of the names of the lore and stuff, and the war machine is just for story, if he just shouted at the thalmor, they would kill him in a hour or so, but for this dlc I was talking about I was thinking the civil war in skyrim by 1000, huge battles in the cities, like imperial city and some alyeid ( I have not played oblivion at all) ruins.
+The Lunar Sniper That's actually the main reason I sided with Ulfric, my character figured since apparently the nord tradition was 'challenge the current king to a shouting match: winner gets to rule' that when we won I could just take over, since my shouts were far superior to Ulfric's and people would love me for saving them from the end of the world
The Dragonborn IS Shor.... Hence, the empty seat and the three warriors claiming that Shor has forbidden them from leaving and battle. But then suddenly when the Dragonborn shows up, oh, la de dah, we can go out and fight!
i hope the last Dovahkiin is as popular as Talos i mean not like a god or anything but well some may call him a murder or theif but most think he was an epic hero who saved the lands from dragons and they have statues of him i don't know why but i feel like the last Dovahkiin should be greatly worshipped.
I love you're channel, I didn't know too much of tamrielic lore past skyrim, but you've really showed me that its a whole universe, and I've just barely scratched the surface
Dragonborns are suppose to be the mortal embodiment of a dragon or shall I say “Akatosh”. They have all the abilities of a dragon but at the cost of being a mortal. So basically to sum your answer no they are not immortal like a dragon 😂
+Oliver Pilkington he said it meant dragon kind hunter born and not dragonborn like Rhexx said what he means is that Rhexx said that it don't men dragonborn just what Rhexx said
U had me thinking my audio was broken at the beginning! But love these vids, you sound real animated and into it which really sets you apart from other ES lore vids. Niiiiice
you read this with so much passion that i really felt what you were saying in this story. i love this game for so many reasons and one of them is the story and you absolutely nailed it! and as someone who researched the lore as well, you definitely did the story justice:D
Wrong. Dragonborn has both the blood & the soul of a dragon. Also, akatosh gave the "gift" to human's because he felt sorry for the human's suffering under the dragons's rule so that they too, would be able to fight the dragons. And lineage had little to do with the dragon blood and soul. Race, gender and the time of birth didn't matter much because all dragonborns were blessed by akatosh. And Dovahkiin actually means dragonborn not dragon-kind-hunter-born.
If you take time to research more about the dragon language, you will know that dovahkiin might actually mean that..... Dov- dragonkind Ah- hunter Kiin- born
Yes.But akatosh gave the gift to humans so that they can have a voice strong enough to stand up against the dragons. It says more about bringing equality between the both races rather than favouring one side. And akatosh wouldn't want all of his children to die now would he?Since there were dragons like paarthurnax .
If you want to speak technically, in modern English or Traditional, "Dovah-Kiin" would roughly translate to "Born Hunter {of} Dragon-kind" which particularly describes what those of dragonblood are meant to do and what they are in the most literal sense. But you don't have to believe me because nothing is true and everything is permitted. That is all.
Hmmm... I don't think the PC is the last dragonborn. In Rorikstead you find a little girl who is always bullied by her twin sister and abused by her father. She tells you that she had a dream about a "good" dragon who was old, grey and wasn't scary at all. This is the dragon at the throat of the world. Coincidence? What if that little girl is the "next" dragonborn?
no, she simply had a dream of Paarthurnax, no dragonborn would meet each other in their lifetime (it's like the avatar) and also Miraak is raised from the dead so it doesn't count
Ivanderjsk Miraak wasn't raised from the dead, he was saved the moment before he would've died... The only reason he existed in your time is because he lived in a different dimension where he seemed to not age...
Naru if because dreaming of dragons and being builled makes you dragonborn then their are a lot of dragonborn's. the reason kynerath gave the gift of the dragonborn to mortals was to fight dragons. with the last dragonborn wiping out the dragons, there is no longer a need for dragonborn.
Very good lore videos, I think our dragon born goes on with the blades rebuilds the empire and as having the blood of aka tosh is named emperor claiming the red amulet and history repeating itself leads men to victory over mer. Like talos before him.
Here is what I understand about the nature of the dragonborn. Now mind you, this is information I derived both from the official wiki and the imperial library site. We have always described the dragonborn as an individual who has the body of a mortal and the soul of a dragon, but in actuality, the dragonborn is much bigger than this. Back when the Aurbis (universe) was still taking shape, there was the original time god called Aka or Aka-Tusk. In that point of the Aurbis's formation, Aka-Tusk was all one whole deity, but then, the Et'ada (original spirit) Lorkhan conceived a vision of the creation of the Mundus (physical reality). With the mere thought of such a creation, time shattered. What I mean is when Lorkhan conceived this monumental concept on a metaphysical scale, it completely shattered Aka-Tusk's perception of what was; call it "breaking the ice" as it were. Mundus's creation aside, when Aka-Tusk shattered, the shards of various sizes took shape as godly beings of sentient thought, identity, and varying scales of power. Some of the larger shards became such gods as Auri-El, Akatosh, Alduin, Alkosh, Bormahu, and Tosh-Raka. I don't know what some of these time gods represent specifically, but I think I know that Auri-el represents the beginning of time, Akatosh represents the preservation of time, and Alduin represents the end of time. The smaller shards of time became known as the dragons that we see in Skyrim. Among these smaller shards are some that are unique in their method of physical manifestation. These shards manifest as the dragonborns. And what determins when a dragonborn will appear is when there is going to be monumental change in the world. The act of a dragonborn devouring a dragon's soul is the dragonborn's time shard (soul) forcing the dragon's to merge with and make bigger his/her own, like water droplets coming together. Something else that is important is how Lorkhan is connected to all this. When Lorkhan shattered Aka-Tusk, he became a part of not just the world that he embodies, but also all of reality which time governs. When he shattered Aka-Tusk, time became one with the world, and the world became one with time. The Khajiit equivalent of Lorkhan is Nirni, who according to Khajiit legend was cursed to walk the physical world from time to time. Now, interpretations of reasons and purpose aside, this is a reference to Lorkhan becoming incarnate in the world, something that is referred to as a Shezarrine. And because Lorkhan and the shards of Aka-Tusk are technically one in the same, it is my understanding that the dragonborn is more accurately the incarnate of all of the Aurbis (universe); the "spirit of the universe" as it were. The fact that the smaller shards of time happen to be dragons I think is merely a product of circumstance. Don't get me wrong, its still awesome.
alissia was NOT the first, miraak was. miraak is over 5000 years old, he was around when alduin ruled, alduin was gone when alissia was born, means miraak was older.
So the 5th line in the book you read out, is basically Skyrim, so the "Sixth" line, means that Elder Scrolls 6 is going to be still in "Skyrim"........ So in Elder Scrolls 6, the Thalmor will be destroyed and maybe the Aldmeri Dominion, and Alduin will return, so since The Empire was basically founded by a "Dragonborn", do you guys think there will be another "Empire" formed by The Last Dragonborn, and the "Dragons", I reckon that will be real cool, so The Last Dragonborn, could basically be another Miraak, but build another empire with dragons in harmony over all races in Tamerial, and enter the 5th era into another "Golden Age"...... Then maybe, the Dwemer might come back, and find that their cities are in ruin, so they go on a rampage threatening the "5th Empire" with technology they brought back with them far "More" advanced than when the were last on Tamerial........ Maybe the Dwemer will see reason and side with The New Empire because they realized the High Elves were the reason they disappeared......... (Don't know if it's lore "Accurate" but maybe it's possible, considering the High Elves know so "Much" about "Everything")
hmm, sounds like a good story, and is very possible, but I doubt it will be in skyrim again, and I doubt the dragonborn will be the character we play as
we dont want to be in skyrim again it sucks why fucking ice desert why not real desert like hammerfell or highrock or something like sun island with legendary lava dragons or maybe morowind again or just cyrodil
When the next TES game comes around I'm definitely gonna look up your videos on the lore and history of it, because of your attention to detail to the subjects and your passion to put that extra mmmmph that makes your videos so addictive.
Also I could be wrong, but didn't the dragon priests rule with the dragons very early on? Even before the imperials were slaves to elves. If I'm correct then Miraak was the first person with dragon blood since he was a dragon priest until Hermaus mora gave him the power to overthrow the dragons. After he became a threat the dragons sent a priest to kill him. The battle was so immense that it made solesthiem break away from skyrim. Miraak lost and went to apocrypha and waited till he was strong enough to return. That would make him the first if the dragon age was before the white gold tower.
well the White and Gold tower was built by Aldmer in the middle Merethic Era and the Dragon War was also during the Merethic Era which was also the time Miraak betrayed the dragons. To address the confusion that arose from the existence of a Dragonborn predating Alessia, Michael Kirkbridge, former writer at Bethesda revealed "Alessia didn't have the power to absorb dragon souls. Hers was a much more nuanced power: to dream of liberty and give it a name and on her deathbed make Covenant with the Aka-Tusk."
As far I understand it, the dragon priests were powerful humanoids who betrayed their breathren and served the dragons and each of them commanded a small army of what is now the draugr. Miraak was one of them, and he again betrayed the dragons and dragon priests. I don't exactly know why. The quest line was never that deep, unfortunately.
Dirty Poul They were Nords from back when Dragons ruled the world. Technically, back then the humans fromTamriel were all Nords, it wasn't until later when the Nedes spread and started to interbred (creating Imperials and such),and other races of men reached Tamriel. Far as I can tell Miraak was just power hungry, and he wasn't the only Priest to try to surpass the power vested by the Dragons either.
It should be mentioned that Lore-wise, the Dragonborn is one of the most powerful beings in Tamriel, his power bordering on that of a god. Though not implemented into the gameplay for obvious reasons, the Unrelenting Force shout at its full power, wielded by a Dragonborn with the full mastery of the Thu'um, can apparently level an entire city the size of Whiterun or Solitude. I've also heard that, apparently the island of Solstheim was once part of Skyrim, and Miraak shouted it off the mainland, turning it into an island. Tiber Septim was able to change the entire climate of Cyrodiil from a tropical rainforest to its current continental climate, merely using his voice, and this was before he ascended to the rank of divine, and most certainly before he achieved CHIM. It is also possible that every real Dragonborn (that is to say, not those in the Septim dynasty, but actually those gifted the soul of a dragon) to date have actually been Shezzarine, aka the shards of Lorkhan, meaning each and every one of them has the possibility of mantling Lorkhan/Talos.
Yousof Abu Suliman many dragonborns could absorb souls, and learn shouts fast, and were born before the empire. it doesn't make you the first dragonborn if you were a dragonborn born before the empire. and are you refering to the tiber septim's empire, because there were a lot of empires in tamriel.
Miraak was born before the dragon war and I haven't seen any evidence of a dragon born other than Miraak that was born before the dragon war also I was taking about Alessia's empire
All Dragonborns absorb dragon souls and can use the the Thu'um very effectively, learning words very very quickly. Miraak was the first Dragonborn because it was the first time Alduin did anything in this kalpa and Akatosh sent Miraak to defeat him.
actually dovahkiin can translat in more ways. it could be do vah kiin "of spring born" which is seemingly nonsense, it could be dov ah kiin - dragonkind hunter born or it could be dovah kiin - dragonborn.
PlasmaCookie Sorcerer sorry that assumption is wrong. Dragon is dovah - dov is the entire race of dragons. Just like man means all males while HUman means the entirety of mankind. dov translates as dragonkind dovah is a dragon, dovahhe are many dragons.
+Orkar Isber (Estar) Yo yo yo yo! You are right! Sorry for my false af statement lol. Actually, the Dragonborn that we play as is not the only one to be called Dovahkiin, as Rhekk says so. There was another one, forgot who, and the proof is the ninth rock thing on the 7,000 steps to High Hrothgar. There are nine (maybe more idk) rocks that you can read of, and these rocks, together, form a story. The 'hero' of this story is called a Dovahkiin on the ninth rock. Even though I forgot the story and who it is being called the Dovahkiin, but I am 100% sure it is not the same dragonborn we play as. This pretty much means disproves what Rhexx was saying about the playable Dragonborn, being the only Dovahkiin, and that DOvahkiiin means Dragon-Kind Hunter Born and such.
+Orkar Isber (Estar) However, Ah does in fact mean hunter, so Dov Ah Kiin can in fact still make sense. Dov = Dragon kind Ah = Hunter Kiin = Born. But Dragon-KInd Hunter Born really doesn't makes sense, and all Dragonborn (or at least more than one) are called Dovahkiin so Dovahkiin = Dragonborn makes more sense. Besides, in the trailer for skyrim the voice at the beginning says 'and in their tongue, Dovahkiin, Dragonborn!' which obviously more or less states that Dovahkiin means Dragonborn.
So that means that the character in skyrim is a demigod. That is why the elves fall so easily to him. The elves think themselves gods! the dragonborn is a god. Wow
The theory of the Last Dragonborn being the aspect of Talos is highly unlikely, as Talos certainly would noy have any thought of joining the Imperial Legion, as the Last Dragonborn has the choice of doing.
***** I retract my statement, The Septim Dynasty were the Emperors of Tamriel, and therefore the Empire with it. So, Talos would probably join the Legion after all.
Voidcube Troll alert. I know you are a troll but I wanted just to state to everybody that is new to this game(if there is any) Dovah-Dragon Kiin-Born Dragonborn The "dragons"(I put in quotations because they are Wyverns)speak their language. As they're fighting, they even speak their language. Yes, the Thu'um. Translates to Dragon Shout in their language. Anybody can learn the Thu'um but is very hard and take decades to even learn. What makes the Dovahkiin so special? He literally absorbs dragons. This gives him the power to learn nearly any shout, the first one(by Canon) is Fus Ro Dah(Force, Balance, Push) Back to their language. This is a Community-Committed language, the people of Bethesda that created Dragon Tongue only made the rules(and the script). Think about it. An entire dictionary made of Dragon Tongue that the normal person did. By far my favorite Zaan(shout)is *TIID KLO UI* AKA Slow Time It means Time, Sand, Eternity not Slow Time
Logical Deception I know it doesn't mean what it says in game, that's just to make it easier to understand. Also, I'm not a troll, at least not intentionally. I saw somewhere,it may have been a video from Mr. Rhexx, that we were the only "dovahkiin" and that it meant something like dragon slayer. Yes, we are dragonborn, but I don't think dragonborn and "dovahkiin" is the same thing. We got the title "dovahkiin" because Akatosh wanted us to slay dragons, specifically Alduin. Thanks for explaining the language. I remember seeing a list of some words a long time ago but have not realised there's a translator. Why do you call people troll because they don't know things or know things you don't? :(
+Jose D Well want about when the Graybeards call Dovahkiin "Ysmir", I know that it's considered both a title and name, but the Dragonborn's hasn't really done much to deserve the title, soooo wouldn't Ysmir be his name?
+WILVENSG Yeah I know, but usually your character has some backstory, like the Dragonborn's himself, he was destined to exterminate the Dragons from Skyrim. But I may just be overlooking things.
Am I the only one who thinks that when it says "The Wheel turns on the Last Dragonborn" it makes me think that even after Alduin's defeat, things will not go back to normal? In Tarot, the "Wheel of Fortune" (or in some decks, just 'The Wheel') represents fate, fortune, destiny and a turning point. It indicates change... and as the video regarding Sheogorath says, Daedric Princes are tied to change. Which also makes me want to mention - In Cyrodiil, there's a shrine to Sheogorath. There is not one in Skyrim - and no sign of one. I think that was intentional... There's also tons of Talos shrines, of a full statue of Talos like normally is done for a Daedric Prince. Sure, dismiss it as just "Talos is the 'home team' in a sense, his legend is strongest in Skyrim." if you want... but I think there's something to this. What those conclusions are, to be drawn of this? It's not for me to say...
Mikalhvi i think the whole wheel turning refers to each protagonist in elder scrolls. turning form the neravrine, to the hero of kavatch, to the dragonborn. the wheel turns to each hero when it's time they fulfilled their destiny.
Cipher 064 but he still seems to know what the dragonborn is doing. And shouldn't he be able to tell anyway, like how other dragons know you're the dragonborn?
cookiecreamicecream Other dragons can only know if you are the Dragonborn if you slay your first dragon, because they can sense another dragon's soul inside you.
I am very worried about what will happen with Tamriel, I wonder if humans will provide, or elves will destroy them, I am very worried about the dragons, will they be forever extinct? Will the empire prospere? Will the civil war destroy Tamriel?
I often wonder about the prophecy. In that last bit "When the World-Eater wakes and the Wheel turns upon the Last Dragonborn." I now find it to be a bit of a mislead. You see, when you find out that you are the dragonborn everyone says that you are meant to defeat Alduin and stop him from destorying the world. But here's the part that puts me off about that. There is nothing in the prophecy that says that the Dragonborn is meant to defeat Alduin. In my mind, what that last part says is that the fate of world is in the hands of the Dragonborn and it's up to him/her to decided what happens to the world. Of course, the game developers made it so that the Dragonborn is a hero and chose the path to defeat Alduin but i wish that there were other paths in the storyline that the player could approach. With one truth ending along with other endings as well.
Slade Wilson last dragonborn defeated alduin so I think they are the strongest and they know bend will which pretty much makes them unstoppable they can bend anyone and anything to their will
Thing is, poor old Akatosh is insane. In retrospect Alduin's more like his uncle. And by killing the world eater TLB basically opened the door for the Thalmor to try and finally destroy the world.
But that doesn't mean I played the main quest within the ten years, where as I more interested in other things, and I can find a decent backstory to motavate my character to do the Oblivion main quest, but yet you need to add words such as fuck to drive opinion.
Nathan 4173 took you 10 years to even start the main quest? You might as well play something else if you think that’s not enough time to “motivate ur character”
It makes me really sad, that after all these events seemilingly leading up to and being the cause of alduins return, his actual return was a bit underwhelming. If we wasn't fully defeated in skyrim it would make for a more interesting plot. It's kind of a shame really
He's not fully defeated though. The Dovahkiin doesn't absorb his soul, and that one Greybeard says that Aludin may not be fully dead. But honestly Skyrim did a horrible job at cause and effect, not to mention how badly the buildup and outcome to some events were done. Like in the TG quest, where there was so much work put into killing Mercer and they made it seem so hard even though (for me) he turned out to be easier to kill than the falmer there.
+UsernamesAreForTheWeak Yeah, I agree. The only thing they did to make boss battles unique was to change the scenery, situation, and skill required. It's a good recipe, but you really need to include limitations if you want to make it interesting... Sometimes I feel like Skyrim was a little half-assed, lol. (Though I know they worked really hard on it, which is why I said feel. I know it's not.)
+Airaebear 💕 really? He's not fully defeated? Holy shit that makes the game a lot more scary and adds a possibility that we may see the dragonborn and Aldine again! Whooo
+bob saget Haha, yeah I guess. But I could be wrong...It's just a theory (that a lot of others share as well). Personally, I think Alduin was supposed to end the world when the world was ready to be ended (Or, Nirn in this case.) but since he was forced ahead of time, he probably just went "fuck it" and decided that instead of ending the world - he would rule it. Maybe in the future he might try again, but I don't think he'll be able to resurrect unless Akotosh himself does it.
+Airaebear 💕 Alduin was defeated because the only possible way he could survive is if the dragonborn used the elder scroll on Alduin and sent him forward in time. The dragonborn couldn't receive his soul because it's too powerful for the dragonborn. Also when Alduin dies you can clearly see his soul the black shadow of him after his body exploded was his soul. If Alduin does come back the estimate time in the elder scrolls time line would be about 57 thousand years.
The "Towers" aren't "milestones to the apocalypse" but they are in really "anchors of creation" and it is said when all of the Towers are destroyed Nirn will seize to exist and all will become immortal spirits once again. See the full lore article here: elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/The_Towers
I actually realize why Alduin saved the dragonborn in the beginning of the game. Alduin upon his return began a quest of resurrecting all of the dovah that lay dormant in their tombs. Alduin sensed the dragonborn as a fellow dov and went to investigate\awaken what he knew to be a fellow dov, not realizing it was the dovahkiin until after he arrived, unintentionally saving the dovahkiin's life in the process.
soo am i stupit and misunderstanding this or do the "last dragonborn" (the character u play in skyrim) become a devine in the next elder scrolls game? :OOOOOOO
just because there is another true dragonborn that can shout doesn't mean it's talos all dragonborn are born from akotosh because that's how miraak talos dovakin and all other dragonborn became dragonborn and if dovakin was talos you think the dovakin you play as would know a think or two about skyrim but he knows nothing of skyrim when you get out of helgen.
This probably will make me seem like a fool, but i remember at the Talos statue at High Hrothgar it says how the greybeards named Talos Dovahkiin meaning that the character in skyrim is not the only one for the name
Races that arent dragonborns can shout too it just takes them centuries of mastering and training their thum to be able to shout hint the greybeards but the dragonborns can shout instantly that's what makes them so special
No, he where's whatever you want him to where, if his a mage or a warrior, my dragon born weres dragon scale armor with a dragon bone sword and dragon scale shield, his good at stealth, alteration magic, one handed, blocking, and archery.
And years from now when Skyrim's teachers tell of the Dragonborn, they will tell that he was the Archmage, Nightingale, Listener, Stormcloak/Imperial Commander, Champion of all Aedra and Daedra, and then some child will surly yell out, "WHAT WASN'T HE?!"
Dovahkiin can be translated by " dragon (dovah) born (kiin) " or "dov (dragon kind) ah (hunter) kiin (born)" so both dragonborn and born to hunt dragons are usable .
did you know that when you start off the game your automatically classified as a nord I found out because the game auto saved when I was getting off the carriage I read were it said race and it said nord
Well if Dovahkiin becomes a divine then shit becaue that means little Olaf 100 years later will worship a vampire assassin thief champion of all the daedra who shouted goats from mountains and pickopcketed the clothes of guards in the road.
Lmfaooo
I'd be a werewolf lizard thief assassin's that went around killing giants and mammoths out of bordum

+Niko the Grunt Oh no, I had repressed that memory. Why?
"Dragonborn, huh? Is this the part that i make joke about your mum ? -Hoth Follower is the best
Probably the mom
Was it hadvar whoo said that?
Yes.
So, I wonder how Dovahkiin could be remembered in the future. I mean, all that for instance Talos did was being a dragonborn and conquering Tamriel, and he is considered to be the greatest hero ever. And on the other hand Dovahkiin was a dragon slayer and killed the world-eater himself, so that eventually leads to him being the saviour of the world, and possibly with the ability to absorb dragon souls makes him the most powerful hero to ever walk on the lands of Nirn.
maybe the dragonborn will also become a god amongst gods and rise to join the gods
Drakeo Lawhead If you think so basing it of what Talos did, then you are so wrong. Talos became a god only thanks to his trickery and betreyal. He didi become another god but instead he murdered Lorkhan and took his place.
+John Starling
How can he kill Lorkhan if he was destroyed in the creation of Mundus? There's no way he can kill a powerful god on his own.
Can someone please make this a mod?
I'm on playstation, but I agree.. this should be a mod
Lore-wise you don’t need to say “emperor or ‘emperoress’” which isn’t a word btw. Anyways, dragon born is a man
Shuuuh don't expose me
Don't stop skyrim plz
As the dragon born, what kind of dragon is your soul? I play as the Khajiit. It's really cool to think about
a little fluffy dragon :3
It could be a Ka'Po'Tun over from Akavir. The Ka'Po'Tun is a race/country of bestial Khajiit like race whos leader turned into a tiger striped dragon. The dragon was massive, much larger than any other. I hope that this helps :D
You forgot to mention Reman. He was also Dragonborn and could shout.
Lol
Well considering all the things that happen in the DLC's and the main game, there's a good chance that the Last Dragon Born, brought a new rule to Skyrim, gained immortality through vampirism, obtained untold wisdoms and power through daedric lords, became the true ruling factor in Skyrim through companions, thieves guild, mages college and dark brotherhood, and by being a thane in every hold. Over all you can basically become as strong as the guy in 8:20 in the game, so who knows how far the dragon born could go.
that means he cant be a divine so what I would do if I was in Dovahkiins footsteps i would become emperor and bring back Talos worship in the empire
the dragonborn nocliped up into the heavens and killed those pussy gods and became THE badass god.
Angry Chicken
Calm down people I just meant that as ONE possibility out like 600.
YoshiGamingVideos you brought peace by killing Tullius I disagree
No.I was gonna mention someone else too.
+The Lunar Sniper
That's actually the main reason I sided with Ulfric, my character figured since apparently the nord tradition was 'challenge the current king to a shouting match: winner gets to rule' that when we won I could just take over, since my shouts were far superior to Ulfric's and people would love me for saving them from the end of the world
Talos was dragonborn to so are you and talos related
The Dragonborn IS Shor.... Hence, the empty seat and the three warriors claiming that Shor has forbidden them from leaving and battle. But then suddenly when the Dragonborn shows up, oh, la de dah, we can go out and fight!
Thijs Tharn Yes?
Thijs Tharn Turtles then?
Thijs Tharn But... Shor's bones?
We're a shezzarine
Shezzarine is basically Shor both being different version of Lorkhan
The unnatural cut in the dragonborn song in the triggers me every time I watch one of these videos.
i hope the last Dovahkiin is as popular as Talos i mean not like a god or anything but well some may call him a murder or theif but most think he was an epic hero who saved the lands from dragons and they have statues of him i don't know why but i feel like the last Dovahkiin should be greatly worshipped.
Nah, no-one worships the nervarine, or the hero of Kvatch, and they both saved the world too.
"hey,my dad could beat you up"
Dragonborn is translated into the Spanish version of the game into "Blood of the Dragon"; coincidence...?
Dragonborn is translated into Polish version into ''Dragon Child''.
Serenity Strike Well that's even cooler.
Prince Serenity Yes GO Smocze Dziecię! (Polish translate of Dragonborn)
Well the spanish is shit tranlation but the accurate translation sounds like shit so ya
Drachenblut
I love you're channel, I didn't know too much of tamrielic lore past skyrim, but you've really showed me that its a whole universe, and I've just barely scratched the surface
so if dragons are immortal and the dragonborn has the soul of a dragon then does that mean that the dragonborn is immortal?
xForgeHouse remember Reach.
Dragonborns are suppose to be the mortal embodiment of a dragon or shall I say “Akatosh”. They have all the abilities of a dragon but at the cost of being a mortal. So basically to sum your answer no they are not immortal like a dragon 😂
In a way the Dragonborn a lot like the avatar
@@chemicalkilljoy1psn359 never forget
Between immortal and mortal.
Dovahkiin = Dragon kind hunter born.
It doesn't mean dragonborn like Rhexx said end of argument.
+Britishgamer9005 he said it doesn't mean dragon born! Listen for fuck sakes!
+Oliver Pilkington I said it does not mean dragonborn you may have to recheck the comment.
+Oliver Pilkington he said it meant dragon kind hunter born and not dragonborn like Rhexx said what he means is that Rhexx said that it don't men dragonborn just what Rhexx said
+Algot Karlsson IF YOU LISTEN RHEXX SAYS DRAGON KIND HUNTER BORN, GIVE ME A FEW MINUTES TO FIND IT
What if he becomes the tenth divine?
Avery Gibson 👀
@Avery Gibson oh got I said this when I was 14 😂😂 fuck how much of a Moron I was.
U had me thinking my audio was broken at the beginning! But love these vids, you sound real animated and into it which really sets you apart from other ES lore vids. Niiiiice
Does anyone else think of MxR mods when looking at MrRexx's username? No? Just me?
Harley Quinn lol yah I agree
Me too.
you read this with so much passion that i really felt what you were saying in this story. i love this game for so many reasons and one of them is the story and you absolutely nailed it! and as someone who researched the lore as well, you definitely did the story justice:D
i dare say the septims could consume a dragons soul but there were no fucking dragons around XD
In Skyrim, you could command Odahviing- a RED dragon. Councidance, I THINK NOT!
lol i thought u where talking about money for a sec there xD
Dov- dragonkind
Ah- hunter
Kiin- born
Dovah-dragon
kiin-born or of belonging to
It depends on how u look at it...
Lore videos brought me to your channel. Always awesome to see them
The same
me too
Nah,that's only a reference
no, she simply had a dream of Paarthurnax, no dragonborn would meet each other in their lifetime (it's like the avatar) and also Miraak is raised from the dead so it doesn't count
If I killed parthunuax that would make that statement not work so I doubt it.
Kyle Black Lol butthurt
if u have only played Skyrim but u know almost all the lore does that mean you can be a "true elder scrolls fan"
so me then
nope
Michael LaBonte same here but I know the story line to oblivion
Michael LaBonte YES IM THA BIGGEST
Who cares. If someone says your not a true elder scrolls fan well then who the fuck are they to decide that. Just do what you enjoy.
the dragon born of the forth era being the avatar of talos? that's an interesting theory, i never thought of it like that.
Those Imperial Royal Guard armor from Oblivion looked amazing. Always wanted it but never got it :( 9:42
This Lore video was totally awesome thank you Rhexx and Ash!!!
Keep up the good work!!!
alissia was NOT the first, miraak was. miraak is over 5000 years old, he was around when alduin ruled, alduin was gone when alissia was born, means miraak was older.
Technally he's the first, but Alissia was the first to be blessed/gifted with it.
That end theory is just like, "Illuminati Confirmed"
So the 5th line in the book you read out, is basically Skyrim, so the "Sixth" line, means that Elder Scrolls 6 is going to be still in "Skyrim"........
So in Elder Scrolls 6, the Thalmor will be destroyed and maybe the Aldmeri Dominion, and Alduin will return, so since The Empire was basically founded by a "Dragonborn", do you guys think there will be another "Empire" formed by The Last Dragonborn, and the "Dragons",
I reckon that will be real cool, so The Last Dragonborn, could basically be another Miraak, but build another empire with dragons in harmony over all races in Tamerial, and enter the 5th era into another "Golden Age"......
Actually the Dark Elves are the ones responsible for that.
Hmm I wonder what the moons will be like for a khajiit dragon born
🤔

When the next TES game comes around I'm definitely gonna look up your videos on the lore and history of it, because of your attention to detail to the subjects and your passion to put that extra mmmmph that makes your videos so addictive.
in skyrim there's this book that said that Martin septim had pregnated a priestess of akotosh just 3 months before the game took place.
nah that to young
and 200 years later she gave birth? LoL
Måster Øf Chaøs
elder scrolls miami comfirmed
+Måster Øf Chaøs Oblivion happens just 40 years before Skyrim.
Allan Vdsouza no you're thinking about the great war
I got one what if Miraak is the Dragonborn's Father that would be a really cool twist Plot that needs to be an Elder Scrolls Series Fanfiction
LeonGun8 Thanks for the answer. Better late than never :)
Miraak is definitely the first dragon born he can absorb dragon souls he can learn shouts really fast and was born we before the first empire
***** *I cnent! Iz tu stronk!*
Miraak was the first Dragonborn because it was the first time Alduin did anything in this kalpa and Akatosh sent Miraak to defeat him.
but allesia couldn't shout or absorb dragon souls mirrak himself said that she was a weak dragon born
Any content between the two of you is great!
Can we see Hardcore Skyrim again?, Maybe season 2 with mods I mean ALOT of mods. ? Been watching your videos before Minerim your MC server was made :D
You mean season 3?
Oh yeah sorry my bad. :)
I love how he has a standard low level Dragon fight in the middle to increase the video time.
actually dovahkiin can translat in more ways. it could be do vah kiin "of spring born" which is seemingly nonsense, it could be dov ah kiin - dragonkind hunter born or it could be dovah kiin - dragonborn.
Its dovah kiin
+Fil1204 well, Dov is dragon, not Dovah. So then what is ah? It would make sense if it's Dov Ah Kiin.
See rhexx told ya this video already hit 4x more views AND comments then your other ones. Keep up the great job, you amazing dude!
So that means that the character in skyrim is a demigod. That is why the elves fall so easily to him. The elves think themselves gods! the dragonborn is a god. Wow
Awesome as always! I love this series and liked your Wolfenstein playtrough! I love you bro (NO HOMO)! Keep it on!;)
Shouldn't that mean that the your character in skyrim is the rightful Emperor or Empress
um no it don't work that way
Best lore video,good job Rhexx
The theory of the Last Dragonborn being the aspect of Talos is highly unlikely, as Talos certainly would noy have any thought of joining the Imperial Legion, as the Last Dragonborn has the choice of doing.
***** I stated that the Dragonborn has the choice of joining the Legion. Also, I doubt that a God would forget his OWN memories.
***** I retract my statement, The Septim Dynasty were the Emperors of Tamriel, and therefore the Empire with it. So, Talos would probably join the Legion after all.
***** Was the Avatar a God?
***** If you're talking about the pantheons of the Elder Scrolls, not even.
***** I was referring to the fact that the pantheon in the Elder Scrolls is extremely powerful. I doubt that the Avatar could control death incarnate.
What is the calm melody soundtrack that begins at 7:34 ?
Seeing that the dragons are actually wyverns, doesn't that make the Dragonborn (dovahkiin) Wyvernborn (saliihviin)?
Devvik We know what Wyverns are called in dragon language?
They would be called Woyehveyenrahnikiin
Put it in translate if you don't read dragon tongue
Logical Deception I'm guessing you're not talking about google translate here. And also, I'm pretty sure Dovahkiin doesn't mean dragonborn.
Voidcube Troll alert.
I know you are a troll but I wanted just to state to everybody that is new to this game(if there is any)
Dovah-Dragon
Kiin-Born
Dragonborn
The "dragons"(I put in quotations because they are Wyverns)speak their language. As they're fighting, they even speak their language. Yes, the Thu'um. Translates to Dragon Shout in their language. Anybody can learn the Thu'um but is very hard and take decades to even learn. What makes the Dovahkiin so special? He literally absorbs dragons. This gives him the power to learn nearly any shout, the first one(by Canon) is Fus Ro Dah(Force, Balance, Push)
Back to their language. This is a Community-Committed language, the people of Bethesda that created Dragon Tongue only made the rules(and the script). Think about it. An entire dictionary made of Dragon Tongue that the normal person did.
By far my favorite Zaan(shout)is *TIID KLO UI* AKA Slow Time
It means Time, Sand, Eternity not Slow Time
Logical Deception I know it doesn't mean what it says in game, that's just to make it easier to understand.
Dude your Voice along with this music is frickin amazing!
This is seriously like watching a TV series lol
Has anyone else ever wondered what the Last Dragonborn's real name is?
Actually, he hasn't one, i mean the other protagonists, hasn't one too, they're simply the nerevarine, the heroe of kvatch, the Dovahkiin, etc.
+Jose D Well want about when the Graybeards call Dovahkiin "Ysmir", I know that it's considered both a title and name, but the Dragonborn's hasn't really done much to deserve the title, soooo wouldn't Ysmir be his name?
No nigga
Ur name is what u choose,ur race I what u choose,ur gender..i mean the trailer dragonborn is not the one ur gonna end up looking like
+WILVENSG Yeah I know, but usually your character has some backstory, like the Dragonborn's himself, he was destined to exterminate the Dragons from Skyrim. But I may just be overlooking things.
Dude... I knew the dragonborn was badass, but I never knew he was THIS BADASS!!!
Thanks for clarifying the difference between the Last Dragonborn and the septim rulers and Alessia.
Skyrim Lore? Oh this is going to be good again.
*TES Lore
The soul of a might dragon, and the body of a mortal.
If Alduin wasn't such a stupid dragon he wouldn't of gone to Helgan meaning the dragon born would of died and Alduin would of ruled
Exactly what I was thinking. I mean what kind of dragon will save his enemy and only possible slayer? Like what was Alduin thinking at the time??
How was he too know that dragon born was gonna be there, also it was fate and destiny that brought alduin there, he was meant to die.
+Mike Litoris Destiny and fate are very powerful. Alduin couldn't have possibly known that the person he was saving was the Dragonborn.
Cipher 064 but he still seems to know what the dragonborn is doing. And shouldn't he be able to tell anyway, like how other dragons know you're the dragonborn?
cookiecreamicecream
Other dragons can only know if you are the Dragonborn if you slay your first dragon, because they can sense another dragon's soul inside you.
Hey Rhexx, I love your videos. Keep it up!
what makes you believe that we play as last dragonborn I thought its just the most recent dragonborn
Because it says in the elder scrolls
+Jacob Kwiatkowski so if they are really the last dragon born who are we gonna play as in the next elder scrolls?
+AquaKidz a skooma addict
+Sam Niloy lol oh god no
+AquaKidz not all the main characters you play are Dragonborn
I remember reading the lore on Talos, it said that he knew how to shout and had his throat sleet.
So dovahkiin is Jesus?
Dirty Cockroach LOL HAHAH
Yes
Its about time this video was uploaded thanks alot rex
I am very worried about what will happen with Tamriel, I wonder if humans will provide, or elves will destroy them, I am very worried about the dragons, will they be forever extinct? Will the empire prospere? Will the civil war destroy Tamriel?
I hear more Dragons live in Akavir, so they shouldn't go extinct, especially with the cat-people of Akavir guarding the Dragons.
Xzener I hope so
The dragons are going extinct!!!!!!!!!
thijs piggelen Don't know, but I'm very, very sad, the best creatures in ES are going to die
thijs piggelen No, I care about all of them
6:16 i know this is years later but whats that mod called
I laughed when you said Torak instead of Torygg.
Haha or when he said Eye Lids instead of Ayleids
With one truth ending along with other endings as well.
who do you think was the strongest dragonborn?
miraak, talos or the last dragonborn?
Slade Wilson last dragonborn defeated alduin so I think they are the strongest and they know bend will which pretty much makes them unstoppable they can bend anyone and anything to their will
Talos. He achieved CHIM which makes him a God among Gods.
Slade Wilson Talos is the strongest. The Last Dragonborn would be the second. Miraak the third. Martin being the Raditz of the group.
i agree with you Allistar123 and Bills Sama
miraak is the weakest dragonborn x)
and Allistar123 do you think m'aiq has also achieved chim?
Last Dragonborn will rekt anyone. You cant kill the Last Dragonborn cause he will just respawn :P
Thing is, poor old Akatosh is insane. In retrospect Alduin's more like his uncle.
And by killing the world eater TLB basically opened the door for the Thalmor to try and finally destroy the world.
maybe in elder scrolls 6 we are still the dragonborn and we help the other lands defeat the thalmor for good
No spoiler warning :/
Still haven't play the oblivion main quest.
+nathan freeman Oblivion has been out for 10 fucking years, And Skyrim nearly 5.
I don't think he needs to give a spoiler warning.
It wasn't the Skyrim border that the Last Dragonborn was caught. It was near the Eastmarch border, around Darkwater Crossing.
I thought he got caught by the Morrowind/Skyrim border by Eastmarch and was escorted by the imperials to Darkwater Crossing then Helgen.
See the full lore article here: elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/The_Towers
let' me guess you disliked this video because dragonbron still you're sweetrolls
+iso eelis he must've gotten his stolen too :(
Fuck
Did you know, during the first battle with Alduin. He actually asks the Dragonborn to join him.
You don't need to be dragonborn to shout :/
True, but it takes years to master the simplest of shouts. As said by arngeir
And if you were dragonborn your shouts are more powerful than normal shout users
+DJ SJ Indeed. Dragon's shouts are stronger than mortals', and the dragonborn is for all intents and purposes, a dragon stuck in a mortal body.
All Dragonborns could shout. They just never learned how. They had untapped huge amounts of power,
soo am i stupit and misunderstanding this or do the "last dragonborn" (the character u play in skyrim) become a devine in the next elder scrolls game? :OOOOOOO
he could just be Talos being mortal again because he probably wants to shout again
Carl Johnson it could be Talos trying to have a second chance at life trying to see Tamriel for himself before he becomes too separated from it
most likely he's not becoming a divine but i think the dragonborn will conquer tamriel and become it's emperor at some piont.
just because there is another true dragonborn that can shout doesn't mean it's talos all dragonborn are born from akotosh because that's how miraak talos dovakin and all other dragonborn became dragonborn and if dovakin was talos you think the dovakin you play as would know a think or two about skyrim but he knows nothing of skyrim when you get out of helgen.
nick law if you played oblivion you would know that the gods can not walk on tamriel again not the divines or daedric princes.
This probably will make me seem like a fool, but i remember at the Talos statue at High Hrothgar it says how the greybeards named Talos Dovahkiin meaning that the character in skyrim is not the only one for the name
Dragon born is suppose to be Nord
True
The last dragonborn? Yes. All dragonborn? No.
the dragonborn is not supposed to be a nord, it can be any race but birds are the only race that can shout without being dragonborn
Well I am playing as an Imperial...
Races that arent dragonborns can shout too it just takes them centuries of mastering and training their thum to be able to shout hint the greybeards but the dragonborns can shout instantly that's what makes them so special
6:16 What blades armor re texture is that?
The Real Dovahkiin Miraak Pervert Miraak on the case!
mmmhmmm
The Real Dovahkiin Miraak Shut the hell miraak (i just playing around )I whooped your ass
YOU FOOL! THE DRAGONBORN WHERES STUDDED ARMOR! NOT BANDED!!! ARGH!! UNSUBSCRIBING! ((Just kidding it's fine.))
No, he where's whatever you want him to where, if his a mage or a warrior, my dragon born weres dragon scale armor with a dragon bone sword and dragon scale shield, his good at stealth, alteration magic, one handed, blocking, and archery.
tyler milroy mine wears miners clothes
Cosmic armor Superman you spelled "wear" three different ways but didn't get it right once.
Why thank you for correcting me.
I got you I've just been in a really corrective mood lately.
Woot lore is back been waiting for this one
"When the white tower falls..."
Could this be a reference to the thalmor conquering the empire?
I think it is a reference to the cards. They are called Pt-something-ot cards. Fortune tellers use them to predict the future.
I think it explains that part in Elder scrolls online since it comes before the dragonborns time
And years from now when Skyrim's teachers tell of the Dragonborn, they will tell that he was the Archmage, Nightingale, Listener, Stormcloak/Imperial Commander, Champion of all Aedra and Daedra, and then some child will surly yell out, "WHAT WASN'T HE?!"
Dovahkiin can be translated by " dragon (dovah) born (kiin) " or "dov (dragon kind) ah (hunter) kiin (born)" so both dragonborn and born to hunt dragons are usable .
whats the music at 6:29
did you know that when you start off the game your automatically classified as a nord I found out because the game auto saved when I was getting off the carriage I read were it said race and it said nord
You bringing it back? Awesome!
he just came out of nowhere swinging his knife
What is the song at 6:21?
If ulfric knew about the profecy then that means he intended for the dragon born to return, that is why he stops fighting at dark water crossing
I'm amazed at the information but I cant stop thinking about where I heard that tune near the end.
What song is that in the back when you're talking?
