If it was time for the Kalpa to end, the LDB would stand no chance. A god is invincible in their sphere, and Alduin's sphere is Destruction.
That’s a cool theory and I think it makes sense given Akatosh’s command over time as well. But yea when Alduin actually comes to Nirn to fulfill his purpose he will be LITERALLY invincible, as the Kalpa has to end and he must bring it to an end
Perhaps when Alduin was banished from time with the Elder Scroll, he was fragmented throughout time? So there are now multiple pieces of Alduin in existence and emerging in different time periods? This would explain why they'd all be much weaker than he was initially, and why their souls cannot be absorbed when killed. Perhaps his soul can only be absorbed when it is the full being?

So again, thank you for this Rhexx.
My dude, this was awesome thank you for making this. I don't know how you learned all of this but it seems you put it to good use. And I love how at the end you used the real text from Alduin in the game when he resurrects that one dragon. I don't know how to spell his name
Do more dark souls videos, maybe some lore or secrets, but especially use the path of the dragon gesture by the dragon statue in irithyll dungeon to go to a secret area.
Rhexx! Nice to see another Skyrim video, but I'm also loving your awesome DD videos! Keep up the great content as always. But I wanted to discuss something with you. Would you be interested in investigating the All-Maker and the Skaal? They are quite interesting due to the very fact that they are the first monotheistic society in the elder scrolls universe. Do you think that the All-Maker is just one of the known deities interpreted by the Skaal as something/someone else? Although, this wouldn't add up seeing that the Skaal shaman in Dragonborn stated that the gods of the empire were just as foreign to them as the All-Maker was to the Dragonborn. But that doesn't include ALL of Nirn's deities. So it is still possible it's one of the known dirties. Or perhaps not. The Skaal often refer to the Daedra as demons, and believe in an entity known as the Adversary. This Adversary actually possessed a man, making him the infamous Greedy Man that stole all the All-Maker's gifts that were given to the Skaal, who had become lazy. They also mention rebirth and a river of life, something seen in Christianity. I hope that you see this post soon. I have an interesting theory that you might want to hear. Thanks!
Since the dragonborn didn't absorb alduin's soul, then probably not as the dragonborn seems to learn a dragon's understanding through consuming the soul. If the dragonborn was to somehow absorb alduin's soul then yes.
The dragonborn didn't absorb his soul. He didn't even truelly kill him. That's because alduin is a greater shard of the Aka oversoul along with auriel and akatosh. Theoretically the dragonborn can absorb alduins soul since dragon souls are lesser shards of Aka and become a greater shard himself
Loving the lore videos; learning some really interesting stuff. Especially with the D&D game. I know you get asked this a lot, but since you did a video on the D&D dragons, I was wondering if there was anything you could tell us about the Dragonborn? The D&D kind, not the Skyrim kind... really wish I didn't need to make that distinction, but what can ya do.
I think it would have been really cool to see Alduin portrayed as more than just a super evil, arrogant (if not over-villified) dragon. Seeing this side of his purpose and his role in the renewal of the mortal realm as a sort of natural process, and hearing of the apocylyptic power he held in lore makes the in-game portrayal of him all the more disappointing. Hopefully jsn't just swept under the rug and forgotten about in the future, and I like to think perhaps his soul was sent back to Akatosh to be "purified" of his corrupted ambitions and to return in his pure form millennia after the time Skyrim takes place.
true, there is that first time he speaks and how he says you are unworthy of naming yourself Dovah while Partysnacks and our taxi to sovengard show us a side of dragons unknown to mortals while showing us how to be more dovah like I kinda would like either more of this atleast from Alduin or atleast more of other simular things, like he at one point demonstrate to you how inferior you are to the level of a true dovah by staying in the air as he remarks your inability to fly, how you have to wait whenever you wanna shout again and how you rely on tools forged by other mortals
he's back! I researched the elder scroll timeline and what I discovered is that the universe of the elder Scrolls, is only a few thousands Years! no more than 15,000! is amazing!
Humans have been around for 200,000 thousand years, human civilization has existed for 12,000 years. It's amazing how multiple worlds have existed in the elder scrolls universe it's only a few thousand years old. It took our world 4.5 billion years to develop intelligence.
World of Warcraft universe vs Elder scrolls universe. Void Lords, the Burning legion with sargeras, The Titans, the Naruu, the old gods, The Dragon aspects at full power and Deathwing with the Dragon soul vs Sithis and Anui-el, Daedric Lords and there Armies, Divines at full power, Aedras, Alduin at full power, and the Numidium, Lorkan included.
When the Dragons are immortal didnt mean this that the Dragonborn is immortal too? When yes than its can be that you are the same Hero in all games. You get only "resurrected" like a Dragon. :)
Every hero since Morrowind is more or less an aspect of a hero or god: -Morrowind's nerevarine was a reincarnation of Indoril Nerevar, the Azura's Champion who was killed by the Tribunal and brought back to do his unfinished business. It is unknown however if he was mortal (being canonically a dunmer he may have survived all this time but that's not the most plausible) -The Hero of Kvatch wasn't a reincarnation per se, but took the domain and identity of Sheogorath when time had come to Jyggalag to bring Order in his realm, aaand we don't really know how these things work, time is a trifty thing for the Daedra. Probably that since the very moment he took the sphere of Sheogorath, the Hero of Kvatch was an aspect of Sheogorath all his life before... -And for the Dragonborn... well being blessed by Akatosh doesn't necessarily mean you'll have all the powers of a Dovah. But nice theory :) and let's never forget: a single bein could very well bear many gods' aspects (btw Dranaugh I understand you are excited but try to manage your writing, it's barely understandable)
The next elder scrolls video you do, could you explore the possibilities about if Miraak has what it takes to beat Alduin lore-wise? I personally don't believe that Miraak can but, I wanna hear your opinion on the topic.
I don't know if anyone will see this because it's an old video however I believe I can be of help when we speak of why the dragon born couldn't absorb his soul. Akatosh took that soul back. watch as the soul seems to be going to someone far into the heavens. the only likely candidate beings his creator akatosh.
yo wait... what if the dragon born and alduin are one in the same thing? cause like you said where the dragon born is alduin will always be there too and it's a "ghost" of his formal self so what if the dragon born is half of alduin's soul which is why you can't absorb his soul cause if you do you fully become alduin?????????????!!!!!!!!!!
That would imply that Shor is also half of Alduin, which has no basis in the lore so far. Especially considering SHor's connections with Lorkhan and Wulfharth.
It's not. Shor and Lorkhan are two sides of the same entity, different only because of differing pantheons splitting the mythology (Shor being a god of the Dead, Lorkhan a god of Man. Not impossible, as Lorkhan is considered deceased and Shor reigns over an afterlife as the first dead god) and allowing the same entity to exist in two different ways. Wulfharth and Ysmir are both Shezzarines, or Avatars of Shor; the soul of Shor made manifest in flesh and blood. Alduin is the first creation of Akatosh, who, depending on interpretation, either was created by Aka, Mantled Aka, or both. The two sets of entities are not related. There's a bit of theorycraft that can show the Last Dragonborn to be a Shezzarine, potentially, but in no way has Akatosh ever had an avatar via the Shezzarine or Nerevarine method; only in the oblivion crisis has Akatosh had an avatar, and it was very much a shade of the god itself, not a mortal incarnation.
Actually, Alduin is a shard of Aka, as are Auriel and Akatosh. Second, he eats timelines, not planets. This is a "I've only played skyrim and or Oblivion" type video. This is inaccurate.
How the fight should have ended. Alduin on the throat of the world: "We will meet again, and when we do I will kill you." *alduin flies away* me: "Where the fuck do you think your going?" *uses dragonrend again preventing his escape* Me: "Well that was easy." *shoves a sword straight through his head*
Holy damn, I never knew about this lore. I just played the game, ignorant. I'm somehow glad that his soul couldn't be absorbed. Makes him more godly :'D.
About Alduin being weaker: He is referred to as the World Eater, and his job was to consume worlds then put the stuff from them into Nirn. From his behavior it seems apparent that his power grows while he devours a world and he loses it when giving it into another world. With no job anymore he have acted on his draconic nature to conquer the world. Without devouring large amounts of power however his power have constantly weakened. He probably either wasn't aware of this when fighting the tongues or he did not consider the possibility of mortals being able to defeat him(which was correct, the old perv just pulled his Elder Scroll repurposed as a dildo out of his ass as a last resort). Even the Dragonborn was only able to gain so much power to force Alduin to resort to eating the souls of the dead in Sovngarde as an attempt to recover enough power to defeat him by devouring dragon souls which are known of being extremely powerful with lots and lots of unique perks. An act that Alduin himself never resorted to. Could it be that Alduin can't absorb dragon souls? Could it be that devouring his own was too low for him?
As I understood it he is not weaker than he was. His power grows as he devours a world and he returns to normal when he discards this power. He needed the souls in Sovngarde because the Dragonborn grew too strong for his current state by devouring dragon souls.
In the lore, he sounds amazingly cool, but in the game, he's a glorified health bar. But it's still an incredibly cool story.
Aren't all dragons really.
Aren't all bosses in ES games? If we don't count ESO, I've never had any struggled with any ES boss.

My dude, this was awesome thank you for making this. I don't know how you learned all of this but it seems you put it to good use. And I love how at the end you used the real text from Alduin in the game when he resurrects that one dragon. I don't know how to spell his name
"The ancient Nords *physically* venerated them." Eww.
How do you think the dragonborn was made
@@talkingsillies XD ye alduin and a human
@@arctic_shadow578 no, akatosh gave a human his blood (dragon blood) and when the human (dragonborn) died, a new dragonborn was born.
@@user-dg3du3ek8p I know lol I'm just joking
"I AM IMORTAL! I CANNOT DIE!"
*Last words of Alduin before his death 4E year 201*
Do more dark souls videos, maybe some lore or secrets, but especially use the path of the dragon gesture by the dragon statue in irithyll dungeon to go to a secret area.
Thanks!
i've had it with these damn ads for the mummy. at least let me skip them.
What Alduin is: a substandard 'final' boss
What Alduin was supposed to be: Deathwing on steroids
Dragonrend is just an existential crisis.
Wow, the game does a horrible job showing just how awesome Alduin is. I have a newfound respect now.
As always, great content.
Shouldn't killing Alduin give the dragonborn his understanding of the universe
If the dragonborn could truly kill him
Anime Problem the dragon born didn't absorb his soul so he might not be dead
Lord Beerus So he would become the next "world-eater".
Theoretically the dragonborn can absorb alduins soul since dragon souls are lesser shards of Aka and become a greater shard himself
i've missed your skyrim-content so muuuch. its good to see that your back to it
Be still my heart.. Rhexx is doing skyrim lore again??!!
that ending was great..glad to see you are making skyrim videos again. i missed these
Alduin is also the best waifu
Thanks
Boi, we need female Alduin follower mod
You guys DO REALIZE that Alduin is genderless like all dragons, right?
He's Best bae
Loving the lore videos; learning some really interesting stuff. Especially with the D&D game. I know you get asked this a lot, but since you did a video on the D&D dragons, I was wondering if there was anything you could tell us about the Dragonborn? The D&D kind, not the Skyrim kind... really wish I didn't need to make that distinction, but what can ya do.
thank you Rhexx! 👍
Great to see you covering Skyrim again, Rhexx, amazing work, as always!
great video, super interesting :) + I love your channel
Josy Carrera me to
I love you Rhexx, please never stop making videos.
Hopefully jsn't just swept under the rug and forgotten about in the future, and I like to think perhaps his soul was sent back to Akatosh to be "purified" of his corrupted ambitions and to return in his pure form millennia after the time Skyrim takes place.
true, there is that first time he speaks and how he says you are unworthy of naming yourself Dovah while Partysnacks and our taxi to sovengard show us a side of dragons unknown to mortals while showing us how to be more dovah like
I kinda would like either more of this atleast from Alduin or atleast more of other simular things, like he at one point demonstrate to you how inferior you are to the level of a true dovah by staying in the air as he remarks your inability to fly, how you have to wait whenever you wanna shout again and how you rely on tools forged by other mortals
thank you very much you read my request for lore on Alduin and thank for coming back to skyrim
he's back! I researched the elder scroll timeline and what I discovered is that the universe of the elder Scrolls, is only a few thousands Years! no more than 15,000! is amazing!
That's only 50% longer than we've been around.
Christopher Bravo Humans have been around for 200000 years.
I mean IRL, genius.
Humans have been around for 200,000 thousand years, human civilization has existed for 12,000 years.
It's amazing how multiple worlds have existed in the elder scrolls universe it's only a few thousand years old.
It took our world 4.5 billion years to develop intelligence.
Reduce that figure by four billion, and your estimate might be a bit more accurate LOL
That soul shout is in Sovunguard covered in rocks. At the top of a hill
Do a video on the history of bretons.
Geat Lore!!! Would love to see more like it! Cheers
Maybe Alduin's powers were restricted because they are no longer needed?
I fucking love your Elder Scrolls and D&D lore videos m8, keep up the good work!
If Sithis and Anui-el are to OP, I will take them off the battle to balance it out
fuck bro u left out lich king and his sindragosa
Besilk, he wasn't that powerful compared to the Elder scrolls cosmic beings so I left him out.
Thor's Hammer sithis would most definitely curbstomp
reaper of death
Okay Anui-el and Sithis are out I would of think that the Void Lords would be able to take on them because there similar to Sithis.
glad to see you made a Skyrim video, if you plan on making more I would love to see a video on good ol' Herma Mora
Can you talk about the High elfs
"Greatest of all dragons.... But cannot beat a legendary dragon"
it took you 6 years to do this video
Miraak shout is unique
4 words to insta kill a dragon
And i have Question where he learned its?
Hermous mora or before the last dragonborn came?
Maybe that will be the case in valenwood elder scrolls 6
Love your videos, please do more Skyrim lore!
Careful, there be dragons in this video. :U
Nice video I have been wondering when the next time you were going to make another lore about Skyrim. It was great.
Yes, Skyrim!!!
It's like every time I play skyrim again you upload more skyrim content
When the Dragons are immortal didnt mean this that the Dragonborn is immortal too? When yes than its can be that you are the same Hero in all games. You get only "resurrected" like a Dragon. :)
Every hero since Morrowind is more or less an aspect of a hero or god:
-Morrowind's nerevarine was a reincarnation of Indoril Nerevar, the Azura's Champion who was killed by the Tribunal and brought back to do his unfinished business. It is unknown however if he was mortal (being canonically a dunmer he may have survived all this time but that's not the most plausible)
-The Hero of Kvatch wasn't a reincarnation per se, but took the domain and identity of Sheogorath when time had come to Jyggalag to bring Order in his realm, aaand we don't really know how these things work, time is a trifty thing for the Daedra. Probably that since the very moment he took the sphere of Sheogorath, the Hero of Kvatch was an aspect of Sheogorath all his life before...
-And for the Dragonborn... well being blessed by Akatosh doesn't necessarily mean you'll have all the powers of a Dovah.
But nice theory :) and let's never forget: a single bein could very well bear many gods' aspects
(btw Dranaugh I understand you are excited but try to manage your writing, it's barely understandable)
If this was the case you'd be able to wear the amulet of Kings in oblivion
The next elder scrolls video you do, could you explore the possibilities about if Miraak has what it takes to beat Alduin lore-wise? I personally don't believe that Miraak can but, I wanna hear your opinion on the topic.
Legend says if ur early enough eh notices you
U sure?
Positive
MrRhexx HOLY SHIT IT WORKED
Mr Rhexx u make amazing videos and u made my day today
You- you're noticeborn!
Akatosh doesn't even love you
and i killed him with an iron dagger
LiveLoveLift92 that nothing I killed him with my fist
that's nothing, tsun killed him and I'm just watching them fighting and do nothing.
OH MY GOOOODD, I MISSED YOU SO MUCH, RHEXX
I FORGOT HOW GOOD YOU WERE AT LORE VIDEOS
Hin sil fen nahkip bahloki.
Vor lo Kah.
That ending was amazing.
And then we found out that alduin bought the nuclear war... And we got fallout...
I don't know if anyone will see this because it's an old video however I believe I can be of help when we speak of why the dragon born couldn't absorb his soul. Akatosh took that soul back. watch as the soul seems to be going to someone far into the heavens. the only likely candidate beings his creator akatosh.
Lol hey I make lore videos as well and let me tell you viewers it's hard to speak in order and in line about lore.
That was awsome Rhexx, Keep up the great work.
What if the Dragonborn is an immortal vampire and doesn't die before Alduin returns again? See you later, Ally. 😂
damn rhexx thats mind blowing.
yo wait... what if the dragon born and alduin are one in the same thing? cause like you said where the dragon born is alduin will always be there too and it's a "ghost" of his formal self so what if the dragon born is half of alduin's soul which is why you can't absorb his soul cause if you do you fully become alduin?????????????!!!!!!!!!!
That would imply that Shor is also half of Alduin, which has no basis in the lore so far. Especially considering SHor's connections with Lorkhan and Wulfharth.
It could be like a holcrox thing like from harry potter
Alduin "seeked a new one"???? 1:27
Sought! Damn it! Sought a new one!!!!
My blood sugar is low! I'm leaving now!
Actually, Alduin is a shard of Aka, as are Auriel and Akatosh. Second, he eats timelines, not planets. This is a "I've only played skyrim and or Oblivion" type video. This is inaccurate.
In my opinion, after you defeat Alduin, he’s sent back to the realm of Akatosh to be judged and imprisioned. Plus, nice quote at the end
where is DnD?
There it is!
In Skyrim.
You'll get it, he's paying homage to his roots.
WTF is DnD?
This is Skyriiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiim! :D
*Shouts Sixto Yu off the cliff*
All I need to know is Alduin is gorgeous, I love his model
One of the most disappointing final bosses in all of video games.
in my opinion he was a ok final boss
beerasaurus I think it depends on the level, like all Enemies in the game
It's not like Dagoth ur fell down a fucking bridge.
at least you kill Alduin and not get a fucking god to do it *cough cough* Oblivion *cough cough*
The True Upgrade i get it lol
Great video and deep lore. please do more videos.
Funny, but you still aren't pronouncing it right.
I love these intense lore vids, not just about race but about skyrim the gods and end of skyrim
I love the theory that the Dragonborn is Shor, and if it’s true then what does it mean about the voice? Is that the voice of the Gods or of Akotosh?
Dear lord. Who would've thought you'd make another one of these?
ur skyrim videos made me replay the remastered version.
How the fight should have ended.
Alduin on the throat of the world: "We will meet again, and when we do I will kill you."
*alduin flies away*
me: "Where the fuck do you think your going?" *uses dragonrend again preventing his escape*
Me: "Well that was easy." *shoves a sword straight through his head*
alduin used a shout before he died
Holy damn, I never knew about this lore. I just played the game, ignorant. I'm somehow glad that his soul couldn't be absorbed. Makes him more godly :'D.
i really like the questions this video introduces... adds to the mystery!
So good to see another skyrim lore video!!!!!!!!!! Keep it up
ANOTHER SKYRIM LORE!!!!!!!! Thank you so much, i didnt think you would make another.
whoa, gave me chills at the end
Thank you so much for making another video rhexx
About Alduin being weaker:
He is referred to as the World Eater, and his job was to consume worlds then put the stuff from them into Nirn.
Banci Ki
There is no way that the LDB should be a god-tier being.
May I ask what's the name of the song that starts somewhere at 9:00? I've heard it so many times but cannot find its name anywhere.
00:30 HOLY SHIT THAT'S A DRAGON
Now that I know what that last figure is I can finally die in piece
