I stumbled upon a John Mellencamp show at the Great Allentown Fair when I went home to Pennsylvania for my 40th high school reunion in September 2017. I kind of regretted that I'd never made an effort to go see him before then -- although I did see him once at a Farm Aid show -- because he was awesome! Still jumping around the stage like that and rockin' out! It was a really great show and it didn't cost a freakin' fortune either. No VIP seats. Everyone paid the same price and how close you were to the stage was all about when you bought your ticket like back in the day.
