- C10 exterior paint is finally zipped up! Take 10min and check out the huge difference some copper paint on the grille, bumper, handles, chains, and the 22x9 GM Transport Wheels makes with my new faux patina paint I even go through a roll pan install to keep it sporty! I also found out that Sweet Patina Wipe On Clear coat is a definite NO GO to use on spray paint, so many lessons learned lol!
Follow along on this quick video as I get old Bandit put back together, and one step closer to being totally done. I for one love how the copper looks with the "patina".

Oh the ideas I’m going to steal! Great looking truck!
Thank you, and that's awesome! That's why I make the videos, best of luck on your project!
Bandit’s looking good, brother! Keep up the good work
Thanks bro, very appreciated!!
Love it this rig looks so much better
Thank you! Once I get the gauges working well, I will pull it all out in the sun and show yall, copper really pops!
Truck is looking good man!
Thank you so much!!
Fantastic work!
Thank you!
Beautiful truck! Great job on the paint!
Thank you very much!
Good looking truck man, I daily drive my great grandad's 66. Stil has the 250 and 3 on the tree. I think it just makes people mad since i only drive it 50-55. Its a truck from a by gone era thats for sure.
Thank you, and that's awesome. Cool that you can keep it on the road, I would leave that 250 in there long as you can!
I love. Great job. Great year for Chevy trucks. So kool. Thanx much
Thank you!
Looks good
Thank you and thank you for watching!
Sweet this video made me realize I can maybe fix my bondo and undercoat that’s white and now it looks like bird poop on my car so prob gonna spray some colors down now
Awesome, just make sure to use a primer or one of those paint&primer paints on the bondo part first so it all sticks. Just paint will flake off bondo after awhile. Good luck!
Nice work 👍👍
Thank you!
Love the truck. I’m building a 65 it has good natural patina but I have to match it in some panels I’ve replaced or repaired. Your video definitely helped!
Heck ya, glad that it helped. Hopefully you can get it blend out, best of luck on your 65!!
Travis it’s looking good.
Thanks man!! I appreciate that.
Beautiful truck there boss
Thanks man!
Still needs more low IMO but dang it's looking good!
Oh man I know, never thought a 4.5/6 drop would have me so high up, prob drop another 2in in the summer. At least the top of the tire is covered in the back lol
amazing job, thank you.
Thank you very much!
Awesomeness!
Thank you!
I like the C10 bro
Thank you!
Awesome video I’m wanted to do the same thing to my 72 C10
Heck ya, thanks for watching. Go for it! Beauty of the faux patina is if you mess up you can just do it over. Good luck with your truck!
I’m patiently waiting for a new video man!
I hear ya! Got some filmed (currently doing interior wiring for dakota gauges), didn't mean to get so behind, life just got busy and haven't been able to edit it all yet. Should have some cool stuff out soon!!
That’s nice drove my dads in high school in the late 60s . Yikes
Very cool, would have been neat to see all these classics when they were new! Thank you for watching.
Nice paint shaker!
Thanks man, after 6 cans of paint I was tired of shaking it myself lol
Those copper accents are cool.
Thank you! I have seen the patina and black/grey accents before, figured I would spice it up a bit with the copper!
My copper sux, lighter color than yours@@CLASSICSAREBETTER
@@wparro6009 Sorry on your copper, mine is just rattle can Krylon Metallic Dark Copper.
Did you mount the bumper upside down? Or is it from another model truck? There’s something about it that looks different
It may just be the way the lighting and the copper look in the vid, but it's def a 66 C10 bumper I bought new from LMC truck, mounted right side up lol. Thank you for watching!
Is there a reason you aren’t going boiled linseed oil again on this one?
I was just mixing it up and going for a more permanent solution this time. The good thing about linseed oil is it's temporary if you don't like it, the bad part is it's temporary if you do like it lol. Thank you for watching.
Sweet Chevy Bro 😎
Thank you! Getting closer to done, ready to make burn out videos with it lol
@@CLASSICSAREBETTER Thats whats up Bro 🤣😎🤘
@@CLASSICSAREBETTER I've got a 5.3 swapped 82 c10 Squarebody myself. Itll eat the tars off 🤘
What color of green did you use?
It's Chevy 503 Light Green
Has the copper held up well
So it's only been like 2 months since I painted it, but yes no bubbling or chipping, seems good so far. Paint was Krylon "Dark Aged Copper" .
@@CLASSICSAREBETTERThanks! Love the truck.
Where are you located at? See the UNT flag.
Go Mean Green, I'm still out near Denton.
@@CLASSICSAREBETTER nice. I’m in Sanger. Might have to get you to help me do this to my 66 f100.
Looks good
Thank you!!
