The best video on RUclips about Radiation Therapy as a career option hands down. You have a great voice and cadence for narrating and I have no criticisms on your work here. You're the man. Thanks :)
Thank you for this. I am definitely the person who has switched their "dream career" many, many times. I needed this confirmation that radiation therapy is the best for me and the people I want to help!! :)
This career is perfect for me idk why i just found out about it i was pursuing all kinds of other careers in the medical feild and it just didnt fit but im glad i found out about this one.
@@josemesa2934hether you make more or not, I know most medical programs either prefer or are starting to prefer workers with bachelors in their field and are starting to even require their workers to have one.
Great video man! I been thinking about this career and becoming a physical therapist. Would you mind doing a updated video on becomes a physical therapist pls?
Love the very detailed information with data visualization!!! Now I’m in the digital marketing data analytics field and just recently my sister went through the process of breast cancer . What I notice through her process was the lack of bilingual staff members ( my mother and grandmother are not fluent in English). With that being said it dawned on me that there’s a great opportunity to help the non English community (Spanish to be more specific) however o feel that my age(45) and perhaps the education process to become a Radiation Therapist is against me. Please feel free to provide feedback

@@braydoncampbell332 Well it’s kind of hard if you don’t put time in to your studies, and mostly your going to be a full time student after 3 semesters being in the program. So it’s easy if you just put your focus on it. And If you have a family and a full time job(between we you gonna have to have a part time when you start having full time school), you have to talk to them since your going to become a full-time students for at least a year and a half.
I’ve already graduated with a Bachelors and applying to med school hasn’t worked out. I’m now pursuing other options. Would I be better off with an associates or going through a certification program to become a radiation therapist?
Jumping in here too and claiming infj, Also thinking about this career. I don't see many schools offering this program. I can't find any in colorado only radio tech.
i live in NYC and i like this career, I just graduated from a community college and I want to start a radiation therapy program but I am scare, what if it is not worth it in new york city, What if I am to capable to pass the classes. i would like to have an idea of how the classes are, I am very pessimistic and I do not trust myself.
“Do, there is no try” - Master Yoda All jokes aside I just found out about this career and although it seems very technical, practicing and studying the subject over time will build your confidence. + New York pays big bucks. So use that as a starting point to achieve your goal! Good luck!
@@maqq hello, you do not actually need specific classes form community college to start a radiation therapy program but an associate degree of any major to get into radiation therapy.
I’m working towards getting my degree in the Air Force. It’ll be an associates degree in applied science. Would that help me get my foot in the door to become a radiation therapist
sir, please make a video on careers that are more AI proof than software engineering as generative AI can do programming much better than junior developer
The risk of exposure is quite small as when treating the patient with radiation you are not in the same room and usually, you'll wear radiation badges to monitor how much you have received
I’ve been told that may occur more on the dosimetry side of things, and less for the Radiation Therapists. Until things get like the movie iRobot where robots have smooth interactions and manual dexterity like humans, I wouldn’t worry too much. By that point the future will either be like Wall-E or Terminator, and we’ll have a whole set of new problems than just finding a job.
