FIRST CLIO RS MAKING 265BHP WITH **ONLY** BOLT ONS - RS TUNING ROAD TRIP!!

- Took a trip to the godfathers of renault tuning, RS tuning in leeds, to try solve an annoying generic Renault fault code that occasionally pops up, and in doing so came away with more power AND torque! Broke the 260BHP mark with simple bolt ons, which they've never had a MK4 clio do before! BUZZING!!
TO CLARIFY, bolt ons meaning standard easy install parts (Exhaust, filter, intercooler etc) so NOT running a hybrid turbo etc.

if you put better fuel in the car for the map, does that mean you now need to always fill up with that higher octane fuel? It's just that it is quite expensive and the cost (in Australia) is something that I am not able to front.
Yes mate absolutely. The higher octane means they get more from your remap for the same price. Issue being you'll have to run that fuel realistically from then on. If its not viable then just go on the fuel you will be running in the future, you won't make as much power but if you can't afford the high end stuff DEFINITELY don't map it on 99 then use 95 pump.

Morning mate, looking to take my Clio Trophy to RS Tuning in a few weeks but unsure what to get to improve performance (I'm a complete noob with this stuff). What would you get alongside the remap? Induction kit or intercooler kit? (Or something else!)

As for mods, i explain it this way...
You don't NEED any mods, BUT, if you can afford some supporting mods you'll more than likely gain more from the remap as it'll potentially allow them to push it a little further.
I gained very little from the exhaust, but made over 260bhp (which was the most they've ever had a mk4 clio make without a hybrid) and feel the intake and cooler definitely helped that.
You'll still make good gains with no mods, just depends your end game with where you want the car as it'll make more sense to do the mods before the map, otherwise you'll have to go back for a map tweek if you change things afterwards.

Hey mate, I'm in Aus and I cant seem to find many sources of information in terms of bolt ons available, did you have a breakdown of your mods listed?

Hi mate , does the car in general have annoying rattles or any annoying things mate ? As looking at these and heard they do
I've heard the same things mate but i luckily haven't experienced them. The most common noises (i know of) are the gearbox is reverse, which mine and everyone else i've met does, and some people get dash creek, which i've never had. Have a little flick through my other vids too mate, might find some more answers in there too. And a sub would be much appreciated! 👊

Thanks dude! Sparco assetto garas. 17 x 7.5j, ET45. Running a 5mm spacer at the back and 7mm up front

@@VersionOneUK My RS 18 F1 made 160kw to the wheels and 180kw flywheel with stage 1 so was just checking dont know much about these engines and capabilities.
@@fabiodecastro7346 the engines themselves are pretty strong mate, its the clutch that you have to be careful with. The torque gets capped around 370/380nm's to prevent slip and you'll need a hybrid turbo and upgraded fuel pump to get anywhere near 300bhp

My clio isn't running a hybrid turbo though. It was only bolt on mods and a map 👌
