About to take this plunge myself on my ‘08. It’s been long overdue & I’ve heard nightmarish stories from others, but I’m about to dive head first. I’ve researched every curve of this & this video has been the most helpful, by far. Thanks.
You keep your Titan nice, it’s 2021 now and I have a 2010 Le , bought it new and absolutely love the truck, a real work horse and trouble free for 11 yrs.
I recently did this to my '05 Titan w/160k miles. However, I replaced all my four sensors (with Denso) instead of reusing the existing OEM (NGK or Denso). Bosch can be hit/miss. Also, I used 50% MEK (or Acetone) and 50% synthetic ATF. Works better than PB Blast! UpRev, once tuned, is awesome!
I used a 7.5 mm socket on a quarter inch ratchet with swivel/extentjons/wobble and sat back lined it up and used the socket to remove studs instead of jacking engine up. Also PB blaster isn’t any good.
Just finished my install of JBAs and Cajun B pipes on my 4WD Armada. Huge pain in the butt! Thanks for the video....it helped me to expect the worst. My corrosion wasnt as bad, but still had issues
Great video man! I'm in the midst of installing the 6400sjt's (same as yours) on my 2011 Pro-4X....not a fun process whatsoever. Right now I'm waiting for work to be over so I can go home and break those manifold bolts loose. Soaked them in PB all day yesterday, then this morning, then will start the engine to heat them back up...and bloody fingers crossed for good news. Just glad the heat shield part is over with. Thanks for providing such a great video. It's helped me out alot.
im having a hard time understanding the o2 sensor location, on my car both sensors are between the cats.. and my new downstream cats appear to be made to the same configuration
Thanks for making such a informative video. I started my exhaust manifold replacement job last night and immediately I noted an issue concerning the manifold heat shields. After watching two RUclips videos on replacing the exhaust manifolds, no one talked about replacing the heat shields that were attached to the OEM manifolds. The after market exhaust manifolds and headers DO NOT have mounting holes for the heat shields. Did you forgo the engine compartment heat shields? It looks like I have to get some mounting holes welded on the replacement exhaust manifolds in order to mount the heat shields.
My replacement headers are the ceramic coated ones so that helps move the heat downstream. I did put the ones above the B-pipes back in place. Good luck on your project.
Hey. I have an 07 titan crew cab 4x4. Im thinking about installing long tube headers and a magnaflow cat back exhaust. Any ideas for catylitic converters? Also in this vid, your headers have each have two O2 sensor inputs and then your Cats also have an O2 sensor input leaving you with six O2 sensors. Did you leave any of those input blank?
What kind of clearance did you have between the motor mount and header on the driver side? I just got done and on my armada I ended up with only about 1/8 inch clearance on the drivers side. I drove it and it seemed fine though . Thanks for the vid
Sleepy Do yes I had to loosen both sides nearly all the way out and the driver side I had to loosen the four bracket bolts that go right into the engine. Yes extensions were needed and wobble sockets.
No-Fish Nick's Adventures is it possible to loosen one side at a time then try to remove one side of manifold? Instead of having both sides loosen at one time?
I have an 08 and it makes a little noise when i first start it then in about 5 seconds the noise is gone any ideas? Drivers side somewhere around the header.
Thanks for taking the time to show us your weekend project. Very helpful and now have a better idea of what to expect. If you were to do this agai, are there any tips you would give?
Ludwig Romero, Yes if your truck sees road salt every year like mine does. I would replace all the manifold studs and nuts with new hardware. Also a lift would have made it much easier. Lol
the ones i haver are these www.berktechnology.com/product/nissan-titanarmada/high-flow-bpipes/nissan-titan-off-road-bpipes-04up-4wd you can get similar ones for Cajun at a better price here www.cajunbpipes.com/
You're awesome dude. I think you are the first one that went all out in install detail..It was nice seeing it in the works, motivates me more to do mine soon!
No-Fish Nick's Adventures ok thanks, I have 2010 pro4x Nissan Titan I bought brand new but gave me lot off problems, I have only 70k miles and the problem started around 35k miles , leaking from roof channel ( I don’t have sunroof) Heater problem in winter I live Chicago , brake , rotors , the driver seat is broken now , door lock problem, and lots more problem ... I love my truck but is money pigg ..... u can see in my channel my truck I have one video
I have replaced my brake rotors twice now but that is normal for me with all the towing I do. I really like these Brake Motive kits rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F401058967583 sorry to hear about the other issues. I just recently had a leak from my third brake light above the rear window. Had to remove and add a new bead of silicone to fix.
obet man I was calling it the wrong name in the video. The right name is Ultra Quiet Resonator by Vibrant. You can buy them on Amazon or Summit any big Automotive supplier. Part number 1142.
No-Fish Nick, thank you taking the time to make such a detailed video! I love your eye magnet tip and side commentaries! I believe your video is one of the few that shows the driver's side of a 4wd model. Appears getting that manifold out is very tough with the transfer case in the way and even the steering linkage. I read one comment on Titan talk that suggested removing the steering linkage (they actually said steering knuckle but I think they meant that link) and all the studs from the head, would allow you to slide out the manifold without messing with the motor mounts and lifting the engine. I know you didn't do it this way, but having spent a significant amount of time in the area, do you think it's a feasible solution? I asked the good folks at Titan talk and they said to just raise the engine a lot and that it's going to be tough. Just trying to get all my ducks in a row before tackling this on 2012 4wd QX56. I have to stick with OEM since I'm in California....very envious of your setup, great job.
@@NoFishNicksAdventures I wish i knew about this exhaust issue before buying my loud ass qx56. I figured it was just an easy exhaust leak fix. Boy was i mistaken.

Awesome magnet tip of the day! Thanks
Good job Nick. Hope to hear how it sounds soon.
Great job!! Im going to replace my manifolds with just some stock ones.
Will i have to loosen the engine bolt also?2005 titan
Thank you so much for this video man. I'm saving up money to do this on my 07..Love my truck besides the cracked manifolds haha.
Same my 07 has had the original ones for 200k miles

This is a very good video. Thanks! Tell us how to do it from the left side!? I tried, but I couldn't.
I for one really appreciate you making this video and even showing us your bloody lip! you are the man! hope I can pull this off on my 04 Titan.
I enjoyed the video. Very helpful. Question: How is it holding up 6yrs later? Providing you still own it.

Just but heat wrap for them
Magnet stuff is something else.
Thnx
How much did this set up cost if you don’t mind me asking?
Please do the cajun tuning instruction video man, you'll be my hero!
I do plan on doing the tuning video soon.

shawn m, yes not much clearance at all. I had to loosen the 4 bolts going into the engine to get the original manifold out and to get the headers in.
Did you have to loosen both side of engine mounts to remove stock OEM manifold? If so did you use long extension to loosen the engine mounts?
Sleepy Do yes I had to loosen both sides nearly all the way out and the driver side I had to loosen the four bracket bolts that go right into the engine. Yes extensions were needed and wobble sockets.

Not sure? best would be to ask the people on the Titantalk web forum they are very helpful. Good luck.
No-Fish Nick's Adventures how did you remove the dipstick?
Take out the bolt and wiggle the tube with upward pressure until it comes out. I talked about it at 11:35
I have an 08 and it makes a little noise when i first start it then in about 5 seconds the noise is gone any ideas? Drivers side somewhere around the header.
Sounds like a leak that seals itself once heated. Problem is it will only get worse with time.

Hello sir, what is part number, of the cat or B pipes that you use, or a link that you have

Tuning was really easy with help from Joe at Cajun Tuning www.cajunbpipes.com/Custom-Tuning.html
You're awesome dude. I think you are the first one that went all out in install detail..It was nice seeing it in the works, motivates me more to do mine soon!
I am going through cajun also, I've been doing some studying. Seeing this video put the icing on the cake for sure.
U still have the truck ? How many miles has ?
Yes, 168k. You'll see it in almost everyone of my videos.

How much did the entire setup cost
Just under 2k with everything
Gah, my Titan is making the tick of death. Guess this is in my future.
very cool!
How much was the tuneing
Less than $600.00 when I purchased.

@@NoFishNicksAdventures dont we all i did as well but titan just did headers and exaust finally around 2k spent as well
This had 911 written allll over it as soon as i heard "so i loosed up my motor mounts"
Why would you make this video in the darkness of your closet?
Did you have your truck retuned with uprev, along with dynoed?
No dyno just data logs
