DUAL CAB CHOP! | MEET THE VEHICLE CONVERSION PROS AT ASG4X4 | Y62 MIDDY EXTENSION | Built4Offroad

There’s been a huge amount of hype and interest in Chris’s Y62 Patrol ‘Chop’ project since it started a couple of months ago. In this video we go behind the scenes with vehicle conversion specialists ASG4x4 in Toowoomba, Queensland.
Over 200 man hours go into a conversion which involves interior gutting, a shell grind, tray and canopy installation and often a chassis extension. Chris from TRED threw away the idea of a home DIY job and went with the pros, who have converted five hundred 200 Series Landcruisers, but this will be their first middy Y62 project!
Stay tuned to see the process in full from dropping off the keys, the ‘chop’, metal work and component building, conversion completion, to finishing off the fit-out ready for more touring and 4WDing.

How wide a tray/canopy can you put on a Y62 chop?
