Her we finally go, I managed to make another video. Now to show that I can make another video within 1 month, and not disappear for another 4 - 5 months again. Anyways, I hope you enjoy this new little recommendation series. There won't be too many episodes of this one either, but I still have some shows that I wanted to recommend in my older recommendation series, that just didn't really fit with the restrictions. Please let me know if this is something you're interested in, or if you would like me to change anything.
Thanks for the review! Just exploring the works Naoki Urasawa. Wish it was streaming somewhere legal. Currently working my way through the 72 episodes of Monster. This looks similar.
I absolutely love the manga. Keaton seems to be like a Forrest Gump character in a way being where he is in history a lot of the times and he uses and applies his knowledge of history to one up the bad guys. I actually like Billy Bat more than of Urasawa's other works.
Its a video! This is niche but you had me at the yugoslav refugee bit - I happen to be from southeastern Europe and I appreciate media that show this bit of the world; I really enjoyed the soundtrack from Only Yesterday, or the film The Usual Suspects was made richer by the hungarian mafia, and since you're from Norway, there's the book Budskap fra Vojvodina by Eivor Bergum. Plus I like shows with a bit of realism, but oddly enough the examples that spring to mind for that are Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex (hard SF), Jin-Roh (alternate history but otherwise quite grounded), and Giant Gorg (how realistic can a real robot anime be). So theres an 18+1-volume manga for me to read and I'm a slow reader, but with all the references to real world places and history this looks really interesting so I will get round to it sooner or later, thanks for the recommendation! And yes I totally wouldn't mind a recommendation like this once a month, the previous series of videos seemed to me a tad overly complicated with too many rules - if there's a show you want to talk about then go ahead and talk about that one, why lump it together with two other ones, or if you want to talk about more than one show there must be something connecting them other than the decade they were made in. Nice video all in all.
