Seems like a nice car other than the drag brake which seems to be an issue everybody is complaining about, i decided to get one anyway as i was able to get it for 140$ i will most likely swap out the stock ESC and receiver, it's really unfortunate that such a tiny design choice that could've easily been implemented in a way to be disabled will now force me to spend an extra 65$ on unnecessary parts, i haven't received mine yet but if i find it very annoying i will definitely contact them about it to see if i could get some of my money back that will go towards the "upgrades" Update: i just received mine today and i am very happy to inform that the ESC on the latest models don't seem to have this issue, so far i have changed my mind and i now think that this car is well worth 140$ Hosim must've listened and it makes sense because literally every review on RUclips about the x08 I've come across mentioned this annoying issue. I'm glad i don't have to spend an unnecessary amount of money on unnecessary upgrades :)
JT, I have purchased. It was my first RC car. It was a Hosam ex 07 it was a finicky car. I put a lot of time and effort into it. One of its weak points is the driveshafts end or the dog bones. Differentials were fine. They are definitely finicky cars. I’m excited to try out the ex 08.
I bought one last month and if you don't bash it like crazy it's a good car. Costomer service is not very good and getting parts is going to be difficult I imagine but it's a fun car for sure.
Somewhat a fair vehicle… but customer service or parts availability??? And that drag brake… RC guy garage had same issues thought he was gonna steam roll it 🤣🤪🤣
Yeah I think that may be a flaw in the design. If it didn't have that I think it'd be a really good car but that really takes away from driving the vehicle and enjoying it especially jumping it. You really have to know how to control the throttle
@@JayTeeRCyep. I really want to like it. Great size. Cool that it comes with a couple bodies and couple hard packs. Decently built. But the only way to get the drag break to not engage is to completely release throttle. Then it will coast and you can then correct in air. I’m starting to get the hang of it.
I know this is older vid but mine was doing that dragbrake thing & i did rebind & it stoped doing it so 🤷♂️what if its coming setup wrong from hosim cause when i see this car sold under other names noone ever mentions it either

Is definitely an improvement but I think the drag break ruins the car though in my opinion.
I just don’t understand why they put a drag break on this car?! Appreciate the video. Very helpful
yea not sure why they did that... but it does take away from rc car
Looks like it needs a new esc and receiver. To get more settings for braking and tuning. Great video and keep them coming!!
not sure i am going to invest in doing that upgrade
Looks very similiar to XLF X03A
