This game is just a masterpiece. I blindly suggest to anyone who didn't play it yet, grab it and enjoy the unique journey. I finished as Platinum and in the hardest difficulty on my PS5 but I am really thinking to play it on my Rig too. And yes I can confirm on PS5 it's 1440p with stable 60 fps in performance mode which is still very beautiful. But now on PC it's even better. Now I would try to see how this will run in max settings with my 3090 and 5950x. Thanks for the video buddy with the great work as usual buddy!

the animation playing on the back of the graphics menu , its just genius , amazing to have a preview of some of the setting right there when you can see the changes on the spot , and not to go back to the game menu and then to the game itself to see them . This should be a fucking standard .
I think Nixxes does this on all there ports. 🤔

I was honestly expecting better performance out of a 4090 for a PlayStation 4 title. Nixxes didn't completely rebuild the game's engine or even heavily customize the game beyond the features you'd come to expect from their ports. In any case, glad that it seems to be running well enough.
I think so to this game should to be running like Horizon zero dawn because its from ps4 at least 120-150 fps on 4090

This is about the same as Horizon. What are you talking about? Without DLSS3, you can’t get over 90fps with very high settings.

I have a similar system. How did you achieve a stable frequency at 6.2 GHZ? Do you have a scalped processor? If possible, can you write what settings you have in the BIOS or in the Intel Extreme Tuning Utility?
I just have a regular retail processor. Overall SP score of 106, 119 on the P cores and 82 on the E cores and the memory controller scored 85. I achieved 6.2GHz on all cores via thermal velocity boost. So as long as the cores are under 70c they will remain at 6.2GHz. With heavy work loads it will drop down to around 5.7GHz
Running the 11900k , Godlike MB, corsair vengeance memory, the Suprim 4090. Avg. Around 90fps in 4k with all the highest setting on the LG Oled.
Well, there has to be a substantial GFX upgrade if this is the 4090 performance...
I mean; substantial can still be subtal in some kind of way..
Just regular quality scaling with shadows or reflections can be impactful on performance and minor on visuals.
you are the first person who sayed that this game is demanding yet getting 90fps on 4k without any upscallers thats still not doable, i mean idk about 4090 but a 30-40% slower gpu like 4080 cant do that even on 1440p

Ps5 renders at checkerboarded 4k in its quality mode and checkerboarded 1800p in its performance mode with both modes running at 60fps

All these FG tech are BS. Coz u see BIG numbers but it feels worse than was before FG ON. That`s why ppl hate so much that tech. Latancy thats what matters.
HBAO+ loses a lot of shadow on the grass, I would use either the original SSAO or XeGTAO, both look pretty good. XeGTAO was developed by Intel but what hardware it runs on doesn't matter
what does 4k DLSS look like performance wise with the 4090?
Im getting 150 to 200 fps with dlss 3 and frame generator on my 4090. Occasional dips to 130 fps. Mind you i have a slower cpu than him. Still using my i7 12700kf

You recommend DLAA instead of TAA for 4K maxes out with a 4090 then?
DLAA looks better and performs about the same as TAA in this game so it's a no brainer in this case imo.

how in the hell did you maintain the CPU temperature? it doesn't pass 60 degrees, my CPU temperature when I play a very light games like ESCAPE THE BACK ROOMS, it gets to 78 degrees

it's a pity that your ddr5 kit, which is good in oc, is in tcl 38, you should try oc daily 24/7 with 1.65V in tcl34.

Can't wait to replay it on PC.
It's a demanding game, for sure, but it's well optimised. Nixxes have done an incredible job of porting games to PC. I really appreciate a well optimised game at launch instead of taking a few months or over a year to polish the game.

Aww, I forgot this game released today. I pre-ordered it just to have it in my collection of games. I will have to give this a go. ❤️ it on my PS5 although, I never finished it. Due to watching my girlfriend always playing it. She beat it her samurai would whoop mine all day everyday. I am rocking the 3090 card. I plan on upgrading once the 5090 cards drop! 😉👌

My rog strix 4090 when i was on air never saw 69c even overclocked pulling 500 watts highest i saw was 63c at peak with fan speed at around 80%. I havent really seen many 4090s at that temp in fact. If youre hitting 69c id imagine hot spot temp around 90c. I can almost guarantee ptm 7950 would drop those temps by a large margin
@@mitsuhh imagine not realizing that 4090s dont really even get to 69c. Look at the average temps on a 4090 and see what other people report their temps to be, this is not really an average temp for a 4090. With that being said im not saying its "dangerous" just saying majority 4090s dont really touch this temp, even overclocked. When i was on air for my rog strix 4090 highest i saw was 62-63c overclocked at around 500w with a hotspot of 81c. I mentioned this because i havent really heard many 4090s touching 69c

I was disappointed by this game’s performance. The fact you need a top of the line card to get a solid 4K60, or higher, that’s poor optimization imo. Last of Us was terribly optimized. I was hoping for, but not holding my breath, for 6K resolution, maybe I’ll try some DSR, with DLSS and frame gen. See if I can trick the game into letting me run a higher resolution.
I was going to say PS4 games do not optimize well on pc apparently. But Horizon zero dawn runs really good, Uncharted 4 also. God of War as well.
I’m running a 13900K/4090, performance similar to what I’m seeing here.
I changed my mind, the game is pretty well optimized, but there’s some sort of bottleneck when you get to above 100 FPS or so.
I'll be happy running this on ultra settings in 1080p 100 + fps 😉

I wasn't speaking about me. I was saying you will need a beefy system if you want to run this game native 4K maxed out, and stay above 60FPS. And from the looks of things only 2 graphics cards can do it.
It's nice but for how much the RTX 4090 costs, it should be running the game at 150fps at 4K w/out any DLSS

Getting a few less fps (2-5) on my 5800X3D+4090FE (stock) but the CPU draws about half (~70W) and the 4090 ~370-400W. Will probably tune some settings tomorrow and see if I can get a locked 120 fps and a bit less power draw since it's getting a bit too warm to dump 450-500W in the room as we are getting closer to summer.
Optimizing your cpu helps alot. I went from 60 watts to 20 watts on my 7800x3d.
Definitely not the best port. 70-90 fps on 4090 for a ps4 game that looks worse than dragon age inquisition(which was on ps3 & xbox 360) which will give you more fps on rtx 3080 (if you lower multisampling AA)?

That CPU is SOOOO over the top , at least for gaming , look at that CPU cores , he is using like 8 and the other ones are just running almost nothing they are just in IDLE mode . And here we go again... AAA game with millions of dollars budget, the fight animations and animations of the enemies' when they die, look like absolute crap from around 2010. Everything moves or pushes away from our character, twists unnaturally or jumps away. I won't even mention the physics of the environment in the interaction, which, as usual, does not exist.
