The game looks very beautiful at both the PS5 & RTX 4080.
Don't forget that the PS5 was released back into 2020 & has a GPU nearly equivalent to RTX 2080 Super or RTX 3060 & cost 500 dollars VS RTX 4080 who was released back in 2023 (3 years difference between them) & cost more than 1000 dollars. So its normal that the RTX 4080 looks slightly better, but the PS5 did really really an excellent job ❤.

They did a good job with the PS4 release it looked amazin, the PS5 in itself though didn't feel like a generational jump, unlike the jump from PS1 to PS2, or even 3 and 4.
4080 will look slightly better is the norm. It’s just a direct port. Rez and frame rates are the only differences. The 4080 has 5.5X the power of a console and performs 3x-4x. But just slight better 😂 This 4080 isn’t even sweating on this game and let’s be honest graphics are basic by today’s standards.

It’s a direct port only the resolutions and frame rates seem enhanced. Anything added is so subtle anyway. But this game won’t make a high end pc sweat. It’s just purring along.
Looks great on PS5 and PC but the latter definitely looks noticeably sharper with cleaner textures, likely because it isn't using TAA like the PS5 version. DLAA gives this game a really crisp look that you just don't typically see in console games because most of them use some kind of upscaling, or in the case of the PS5 version, 2160p checkerboard rendering. There is also far less shimmering in the PC version and, of course, much better anisotropic texture filtering.
I've experimented a bit with different antialiasing settings on PC and I can say the implementation of SMAA and TAA in this game is less than ideal. Being able to use one of the upscaling technologies such as DLSS, FSR or XESS as an antialiasing solution makes a huge difference. FSR 3 doesn't look very good in this game though.

@@heiere-ew7ik different preference?. but i am more into FF7Remake/Rebirth than the 2 other game. my game library consist of armored core 6, elden ring, bloodborne, darksoul, sekiro, crysis series for a bit old game. and batman arkham knight. FF16 is good too, if you enjoy its type of gameplay. personaly this isnt my type game. even i havent play DMC V. but i am enjoy it and even can make any shopiscated moveset/air combo similiar to DMC series. so myabe i ll check DMC too in the future

You would notice the fluidity of 120fps vs 60.
To achieve 4k/120 I need 4090 or I need to reduce the resolution and then I’ll get 120 at the cost of a not clear picture. As a result, I play at 1080 on my 4060 and at 4k on PS5, what will I play on))@@Mistery7777

Love this game. Played it on PS4, upgraded to the PS5 version.
PC Release, fuck yeah I bought the game and it looks amazing especially on a Ultra Wide OLED screen.
The one issue, which is minor on the Ultrawide, is the prerendered scenes, which are a couple, rendered in 2k Resolution and not full or wide screen.
Otherwise, the entire game looks amazing, sharper.

Very surprised how well the PS5 version stacks up against the fully maxed out PC version. Obviously frame rates can be higher on PC but PS5 is smooth comparably add looks almost as good at least on my tablet right now. 4K TVs might show difference
Just a direct port. Slightly higher resolution and frame-rates on PC. This game could have been enhanced ridiculously and would still have run beautifully. So yes with current releases the differences between the two will and are gigantic. That’s what you get with nearly 6x the power on the 4080 with 3+x performance.
Played it on both I see no substancial difference it’s a great achievement for ps5
I have a GTX 1050 in an Acer Nitro 5, it's not as nice as you showed from your video, but I am happy that I was able to run the game.
It should be played the way it was meant to be. What is the point of playing at low settings 30 fps if it's just for the sake of playing it
Better character textures, anti aliasing, volumetric shadow and fog, way more polygons (look at the grass and fireflies in the background), high fps

This game truly like pop out real Japanese beauty, never tired of it. played it on ps4 then ps5 then pc. tbh, not so much different (not night & day) for the quality beetwen ps5 and ultra pc, except the resolution. Still everything like eye candy to me
i will never understand why banding still exist in modern games?? i remember ever since the game dropped on ps4 i hated that banding at the beginning of the vid. i would rather sacrifice some performance to reduce it but apparently some games just can't get rid of it somehow.

Great video, I just started playing it again in my PC with a 4080 super. Previously, I played it in my PS5, which I sold after I finished the game. I remembered it looking much better... side to side comparisons are lethal
Other than the extra crispiness on the textures, the biggest improvements are on the high framerates.
I can't help but notice that the exact words in the beginning are almost the same as in the (brilliant) Dune movie by Denis
With my 4070 super i was on 150fps with 2k ultra settings. Just finished and it was incredible. I might buy a ps5 pro for ghost 2. The game is that good.
Looking at the price of ps5 and 4080 ps5 is doing incredible job while looking almost the same.
This game looks most identical on both side. Because this game is made for market consoles

I have a 1080p monitor and I am doing this Upscaling my resolution to 4K and then opening fsr 3 performance so it reduces to 1080p but better and last I open frame gen and i get 150-170 fps

The differences don't matter here. There are times you don't want to see too much detail lol... My first shocking foray into hi-res was with Memoirs of a Geisha. I remember it vividly being blown away by the picture quality but also hated and shocked to see the super detailed pores on-screen during those super close-ups!

Screen Space Reflections, Anti-Aliasing, Resolution and Framerates are the more noticeable differences between the two if you pay close attention. Those favor PC, but more subtle differences like Shadows and Texture Quality also lean in favor of PC. The PC version is certainly the better version between the two when it comes to visual quality and a 6700xt/3070 or higher will outperform the ps5.
I honestly wouldn’t overthink this. It’s just a direct port with subtle differences. On the 4080 this game could have been insanely enhanced and would have run fantastic. Annoying these comparisons as console owners think the 4080 is just slight more powerful than either console.
@@colinbrydon7659 yea it is mostly a direct port with only minor enhancements that doesnt take advantage of available headroom on PC. I think most ppl who would really compare consoles to a 4080 either don't know much about hardware or highly delusional.

Kudos to Sucker Punch and Playstation on creating one of my favorite games ever. The story really is the best part of this game and the ending hits hard in the feels. The gameplay, animation, graphics/art direction, music and sound really is top drawer. I finished on PS4, PS5 Definitive Edition and now will be buying it a third time to play on Steam Deck and 4080/3090. Sony keeps on with the bangers and keeps taking all my money. Not trying to trumpet my gear, but this kind of game is why I go all out on the hardware.
PC better, all games free on torrents (we don't pay for games and soft), on PS5 and XBOX ~70$ every game. Consoles has no upgrade, in-game graphics is no good, library games is very small, blocked in 190 countrea and it's no end. PC already is best game and workstation.

7950x with RTX 4090 kk ON Samsung s90c modded to s95c. Game runs ridiculously fast.
PC can notice most faces and other detail are sharper (compared to softer look on PS5), however surprisingly most grass/foliage actually looks more sharper and detailed on PS5.

Can barely see any difference in 4k on a 48" 4k screen. PC version has a slightly higher texture definition no one would ever notice without a direct comparison and while focused on enjoying the game rather than micro-analysing every pixel.

The difference in graphics is small, but the difference in performance is there, show how many fps can generate the 4080 compared to ps5, thats the real difference

PC version has sharper textures, better lighting, and better anti aliasing that doesn't blur the textures. Only difference is if you like film frame rate feel of the console or smoother 60+ fps version of PC.

@@borb7085 no because it is a crossgen game, it is a PS4 game adapted to PS5 with a little patch that unlock the resolution and framerate. And you can see Ikki Island designed for PS5 is better than Tsushima designed for PS4.
Same here. I have both PS5 and an RTX 4080 Super with an I9 14900K cpu. I prefer to play it on PC with a Dual Sense Controller.
Game looks good enough on PS5, it's the FPS that makes the difference for me. Playing in 4k with locked 120 fps is something else really.

Looks like the 4080 is true 4k and the PS5 is slightly lower. Looks like a good experience for both. Would be nice to just play it on a beast video card. But either way Looks very enjoyable. I haven't played it yet. I'm almost done with Ragnarok, lol.

Can ps5 play xbox games, or any other console games released in the past 40yrs including switch via emulation? does it have access to steam which has far more games on it than the ps store? how about free online? mods? better performance? ability to use KBM or any controller you choose? what about the thousands of other things a PC is capable of? The ps5 is nothing compared to a high end PC, or hell even a PC with equivalent hardware to the PS5.

There's games like satisfactory and ready or not that i love to play and they're exclusive to pc. Not to mention the vr games. That's what i thought before i got a pc ( i still have my ps5 so i can make direct comparisons myself), but a pc is inconceivably better. @@user-cp6kh3it9lit doesn’t matter. That gpu will have remarkable differences in other more demanding games. This is just a direct port, nothing more. Very subtle differences in detail, but obviously 4K native at much higher framerates. It’s good on both console and PC.

@@gerigintara8673 Console isn't much better because you have to pay for multiplayer and games are also more expensive, plus you can't pirate games unless you have a previous gen console and mod them. PC is a huge upfront cost but saves you money long term.

As my friend always teases me when I want to upgrade a card from 2060 rtx to 4070 Super - when compared with the console, the choice is obvious. In one case, the console is ready for gaming, in the other it is only a video card, a computer is not included with it... But I still want the card). Both owners of both PS5 and XSX.
The PS5 version still has its advantages - it loads instantly!
