Two years ago I purchased a pink guava in a 5 gallon at Home Depot here in southwest coastal Florida. It was the first tree I planted in this house that my wife and I had just moved into. Two years later it's tall enough to hang over the roof. The fruit is delicious.
You made my mouth water and left me wanting a guava. First thing tomorrow I’m going to the store the get some guavas, but of course they don’t even come close to yours. The guavas in my supermarket are small. I would say two bite size or in my case one bite size.
In SoCal where I live it's very common to see these trees growing with our weather! Kind of luckily and unluckily the weather news said we have a bigger chance of getting hurricane conditions this year so, that might be a good thing and a bad thing. Especially a bad thing if you grow lots of cacti like nopales and cactus apples/prickly pears...
I have several Guavas trees in my yard. The fruit is so delicious. I have acquired a Ruby X Supreme tree it's supposed to be great tasting. Your video makes me want to eat a guava. Too bad mine are not ripe yet 😔
Bought my first Guava plant the other day, from my favorite health food market. They've got a small nursery out front, where I always seem to find a gem or two that gets me very excited. I found a plant, unlabeled and had to get an employee to tell me that it was a Guava. Bought it for $7.99, about 2 ft. tall. I think that's a bargain! But, since it is not tagged, it will be a total surprise to see what kind of fruit it produces. Don't know if there is any way to tell the difference just by looking at leaves.
I keep watching ur vedios over and over they are really good I bought many fruit trees just after seeing ur vedios I live in California too but I never knew I could plant these here
I got a pink Beaumont guava tree and the fruit look like your too. I planted a Thailand white guava onto the ground last year and it gave me one fruit (baseball size) which is super sweet, kinda of like eating sugar. That 1 fruit had bird pecking damage which I hope is not the case for the super sweet attribute.
Ok! Guess who’s going out to buy a tree? My daughter and I tried a pastry with guava and cheese from a famous bakery in LA! She wished we could buy the jam! I said, “Let’s just grow a tree..and one of my fav you tubers probably grew one...” SURE ENOUGH, here you are! Thank you! Love when you enjoy your harvest!
I know I'm late. But, you can get it at Mexican convenient store or some Asian market! Or if you want to buy a plant, go on eBay and buy the grafted guava tree so it can fruit quicker!
I have a huge garden I have a pear tree an apple tree carrots tomatoes cucumbers and when I was about four a guava tree randomly started to grow and when I was 8 I picked some guava and it was pink when I bit into it
Hi..... We are in S Calif too. We just realized a bird must have dropped a seed into one of my pots and IT IS A GUAVA! I'm so excited, I wanted a guava tree! Now where to plant it ? Thanks for the tip on pruning to keep it smaller, genius.....
Hey, I was curious how often do your Guava plants thin out already pollinated buds? We been having some extreme temperatures and im unsure if this is from that or natural in a first time flowering Tropical Pink

This variety is Ruby Supreme. One of my favorite guavas.
You made my mouth water and left me wanting a guava. First thing tomorrow I’m going to the store the get some guavas, but of course they don’t even come close to yours. The guavas in my supermarket are small. I would say two bite size or in my case one bite size.

Thanks for exposing and teaching us about exotic fruits.
Thank for the great tips on growing guavas. Can you share which sea salt you used to help improving the flavor of the fruits? Thanks!
I bought one. I was told by a resident expert that the Pink is the best for the bay area. Sweetens and takes cold better then the White. I hope so!

Janice B great buy
If the leaves are redish then it's a pink guava. If it's white than it's a Thai Guava
Where did you buy it from ?

What is variety of this guava ? And where can I buy it?
Thanks
pink guava. Got it at Osh years ago.
I have 10 acre of Guava farm, it gives fruit twice a year. Once in winter the other in summer. I don't if it is the same in other countries
I cut mine down and sprayed weed killer on it not knowing what it was (thinking it was a weed) . Now I leave it alone and it’s soon going to produce
No Brasil essa fruta é conhecida com Goiaba vermelha.
Bought a guava plant today 😄
The fruits on my ruby supreme are very small. Any clue what could be wrong?
