Is Damascus a composite material, stronger than either of the steels that go into it, or is it just cosmetic, and one or the other types of steel could make a functionally identical blade?
I was wondering if you would consider making the cone out of the same patterned billet until I saw the etch and that it was a commission. Looks awesome!
FR I love this channel because of that. I don't mind longer between videos if they have good substance. Alec seems to be too busy with his company to put out content.
What a gorgeous spearhead. Truly made me want it. That feathering was so incredible, and thank you so much for sharing how the pattern progressed, that was a very helpful and nice addition. I've been wanting a strong spear for years, but I can never find good ones unless it's just the heads, so maybe I'll have to go that route and just work a stave myself for it. You are a wonderous forger!
@@TyrellKnifeworks That's good to know. I've been wanting to delve into crafting and forging. Right now I'm kinda amateur with woodworking, but I want to pick up leathercrafting soon. Should have everything in hand and setup within a week... Thanks for your time!!
