I’m Joe and I came up with the original concept of the idea that became Fob, released by David Penn and World Magic Shop. Fob was very similar to this, and we did discuss using a similar principle. Either way love the idea and easy DIY set-up. Huge congrats on this Lloyd!
Wow! Joe, thank you so much for your incredibly kind comment and encouragement! I've never owned nor actually known the full inner workings of Fob but I think the very concept of it being on your keychain alone is such a fantastic idea and was absolutely a huge inspiration for this. Thank you for creating Fob and thank you for taking the time write. Your comment has really made my day. ❤️
@@LloydB Subscribed because your sharing how to do this, I hope you show many other tricks in this same way ? I am yet to Stalk your Channel and see... I'm 2 minutes New 😋
This is the perfect representation of the relationship that I have with my wallet. Me: "I think I have a $20 bill in my wallet?" Wallet: "Nope! You have a dollar".
Just got home from the Swedish jamboree scout event and when I get home I sit down and think ” Oh fu*k I’ve mist two of Lloyds videos. Gotta watch em”. Now I’m here! Awesome switching device!
40+ years in the biz and this is simply my new favorite thing. I don't do a lot of close-up any longer, but when I was a restaurant worker I would have been using this non-stop. Brilliantly thought and very well taught!
Lloyd these videos have helped me so much i was a lousy gimmick maker and creator but these have boosted my creativity so much and now im just a bad gimmick maker! keep it up!
I'm not gonna lie. When you did your cold open with the actual illusion before explaining it, I fell RIGHT into the trap AS YOU EXPLAINED would happen during the actual tutorial. No matter how OBVIOUS the gimmick was, my attention was FULLY on the card through the reveal and not once did I look at the gimmick when you removed "my card". Good on you sir!
"Another One bites the dust" BEAUTIFUL!!!! PLEASE KEEP ME POSTED ABOUT THE INDEX I REALLY REALLY WANT IT!!! AWESOME JOB! THANK YOU LLOYD FOR THIS BEAUTIFUL ILLUSION..LOVE IT!
Never usually a fan of arts and crafts but I feel an attack coming on! This is brilliant. Thanks, not just sharing the idea but also the thinking behind the effect. 👏👏👏
Ah jaysus Lloyd, when you mentioned dark arts I paused, got my cloak, candles and goats head ready! Though even with all the virgin blood I gathered I couldn't replicate this fantastic effect! Hats off to you good sir! Though it's probably going to take me days to clean this mess up!!!
Lloyd, that is totally great, I love it!!! Just wanted to comment on how healthy you are looking and performing. I relate to the journey you have been on over the last year and....BRAVO!!!!! I think your best days of magic and life are in front of you and I cant wait to watch for your future. Thank you for all the tricks, gaffes, advice and technical expertise you have been sharing with all of us. Your progress brings so much joy and happiness to us all.
Every time I think you can’t top yourself you do! Holy crap Lloyd I share almost every single one of your videos on Snapchat for people to check you out and learn from because you give out so much SAUCE!! you’re one of the peeps I’ve been waiting to come onto RUclips and give us little tidbits from inside the magic industry and you’ve done just that and I’m grateful for it 1,000%! I’m glad to be here to see your channel grow and grow as a magician and performer by watching you ✌🏻👑 also I almost forgot PRAISE THE LLOYD!🙏🏼🤣
Really cool effect! I'm definitely going to try this with my 10 year old daughter. She's just starting out in magic and I think she'll be really impressed with this gimmick!
I have to say this is one of the cleverest uses of the black art principle I 've seen in a while, I never wear black but I would for this. Nice one it looks great!
This is really good. I like how you explain how this can work in the real world. I love how you haven't ran out of good ideas for your tutorials. Each new one is as good as the last.
I love your work Lloyd, but I still think you're missing a massive revenue opportunity! You have a once in a lifetime brain for this and could market it all. I'd pay for this and most of everything on Tutorial Tuesdays! Also, remember that scoundrel, James L Clark...You need to make sure others aren't taking your creations and making money off them! Nardi would have you on a retainer in a second lol!
Lloyd, that is so cool. If you prescore the folds with an Xacto knife, the Mercury card fold will look perfect! Then it will look even more amazing! Thanks for sharing this. I will have to play with this one!
Thank you Lloyd!.....this vid popped up just before the world release trailer for Maxim, and I can't believe how much you keep giving us. You truly are a magicians magician. Can't wait to make this and hopefully grab Dex when it's released 🔥💯....Running over to the Maxim video pronto😂🤜🤛
I have learned a lot watching your witchcraft I mean magic. You use the dark arts well. I mean the tricks are brilliant. It is so good we still burn witches I mean that we can practice witchcraft in the open now. I love this trick and love your channel. Please keep them coming as my cupboard that all my tricks are in is nearly full. Thank you and from the UK all the best.
Wow, this is absolutely genious. Not only the method itself but also your thoughts behind it. Until now I never considered to use the black art principle, because I thought, it would be way too obvious. Now that I have seen your video I know how convincing it can be.
Lloyd... You are a BEAST. This is diabolically good. God! Thanks so much for sharing! Straight into my repertoire. I'm about to freeze some brains this summer.
I tried to come up with something funny, but it’s hard when you’re left in awe. I’m new to magic and constantly amazed at how simple some of the gimmicks you create can be….and I can make them myself (or at least try). The more I see the more I want to get stuck into learning your awesome tricks
Love Tutorial Tuesdays... Missed the service this service this Sunday, was traveling... will be checking it out today, too. Thanks for all the fantastic magic you share with us without cost. Waiting for Maxim today!
In my experience, people are going so crazy reacting and making sense of what just happen that there is enough time to even change shirts and shave! Love the keychain, will try to make, magnificent video!!
I used to hate Tuesdays now it's my favourite day because I know I'm about to learn something new and incredible, I cannot wait to see the index you've made with a whole deck in one pocket.... it's like I've taken one of them pills from the film limitless with the amount of ideas running through my mind, and that's because of you seeing the ideas you come up with brings me back to when I was a kid seeing magic for the first time, so thank you for bringing your knowledge and teaching us things to use and be inspired by.
Frickin brilliant! This would be great with an injection molded clear plastic mini Altoids tin! Skip all the taping! Now I just need to find someone with an injection molding machine! Lol rotsa ruck with that, I couldn't be so lucky! 😭 Thanks so much for the tutorial! Always a highlight of my Tuesdays! 🤘🏼🎩🤘🏼
Huge props, Lloyd. So many of your feee tutorials could be released and sold as stand alone effects. The visual on this one is fantastic. I’ve always been fascinated by cars to impossible locations and this is by far one of the coolest! Thanks for sharing. 🙏🏼
This looks really really great and thanks so much for sharing this. Also I just watched the trailer from Maxim and I'm definitely going to buy it. Thanks so much once again.
All of Lloyd's gimmicks and tutorials are absolutely golden, but listen... The best thing Lloyd is giving to a newly starting magician in this video isn't even the trick, it's a piece of advice that sounds like a joke or a throwaway line. "Notice I'm not saying 'look at the empty keychain.' Don't run when you're not being chased." That's some of the best advice you'll ever get when it comes to performing magic. Don't go out of your way to try to allay suspicions that your audience doesn't have. It's easy for new magicians to think that an illusion won't work because it "seems obvious," but that's a biased point of view. It seems obvious to you because _you already know how it's done._ It's like when you get a haircut and you think everyone is going to see you like a completely different person, but then nobody notices for a week, and when they do they say "Wait...is there something different about you?" Things you already know aren't obvious to other people. Don't create work for yourself. It's fantastic advice.
This is an incredible effect and with your tutorial tips easy to perform. Thanks for showing this and I‘m looking forward to the indexing cards, you mentioned. 😉

I appreciated you getting right to it! Too many of these videos seem to be, "My voice is beautiful, I look so wonderful, ain't I gorgeous!" Good job.
I like when cutting up cards becomes a complete masterpiece.
Super clean. Even watching it knowing what's going on, my eyes follow the blue card. Looks totally natural.
I don't know of any other tutorials like these being released anywhere... you need to make a book with all these projects in them. Awesome job.
This is the most practical mystery box every. I love it. Way too good for RUclips.
Your Keychain card is so badass sir . It is so innocent and unexpected. I love it.
Lloyd these videos have helped me so much i was a lousy gimmick maker and creator but these have boosted my creativity so much and now im just a bad gimmick maker! keep it up!
The gimmicks you create are mind blowing. This is one of the best I have seen. So amazing!!!
Lloyd... Your creativity level in these tricks and gimmicks is unparalleled!!! HOW DO YOU COME UP WITH THESE!!?? 😆😆
Ah dude, thank you so much. For this; I wanted a keychain switching device so just played until I came up with something fun :)

My Grandson and I really enjoyed watching this. Now to order some keychains and make our own for our next SAM Assembly 115 monthly meeting.
Not sure why but the Amazon link for the keychain is not working on my computer.
Read through the comments,… found an Amazon link that works. Now to wait on the keychain blanks.
