Be sure and check out my other video on the Bernina 217 where I talk about the basic features and thread the machine. ruclips.net/video/oqxmirVCnJc/видео.html
I have also noticed the 217 is particularly thread producers... best results by far with coats bonded poly, others miss often a stich!
Thanks 🙏🏼 you helped me a lot
Hey Alex, thanks for another fun video. Cool machine
Thank you Lee Copp
I like your humor at the end when you simply drop the bobbin. It does take a while to get a back for working with certain machines. I’d encourage you to include more
‘mistake footage” showing your sense of humor. You have more talent than you realize, my friend.
Hello very nice thanks !
also please show how to wind bobbin
very nice explanations! I have this machine and have always wondered how to do double needle work. I had heard it possible and was always looking for the the 287WH compatible dual needle but could never find! How does that work? Threading the 217 with heavier thread for sail material using both tension fasteners has proven to provide a better more consistent stich for me.... anybody else have this experience???
I have a Bernina 217 industrial. I want to free motion quilt. I have a cover plate for the feed dogs which is shown in the manual. But the cover closes the space too tight with the darning foot. I prefer removing the feed dogs. Now if I could just find a hopping foot. The non hopping foot I have just doesn't perform well. Any tips where to find one?
Thank you for your very clear video! I just acquired a Bernina 117 without a manual and it seems to be the same way of loading the bobbin (the hook faces toward the back). I know this was a video from several years ago now but I'm wondering if you knew of anywhere that I could acquire a slide plate for my 117? My machine was also missing this when I found her. I've searched online through the typical channels and have not found a replacement.
Parts are difficult for these machines. Try used on eBay and then parts seem to be more available in Europe.
Thanks! I appreciate your reply!@@AlexanderDyer
I'm thinking about getting a 217. Are parts available?
Hi great videos .. What is the second little hole just along side of the leaf spring and near the face of the bobbin. It appears to change the exit point from the leaf spring and shifts it forward to the face of the bobbin case. ?
I have used that on other machines as a final deployment point but on this machine I have got good results bypassing it. Your mileage may vary.
Great video! I'm wondering if you ever do any troubleshooting consultation (happy to pay!)? I'm having trouble with my bobbing treading through the throat plate, and have worked with multiple people to try to solve it - we can't figure it out!
No, sorry
I see u love watches too, turtle with endmill..? Thats an enthusiast hehehe
SRP777 It is so comfortable and an everyday wear for me. Work, Swim, Shower, Sleep and the aftermarket bracelet cause I prefer the look and usability in all the aforementioned types of activities. 🙂
Nice demonstration, as always. Your channel should be on a "required syllabus" for anyone else who seeks to do quality tutorials.
My question: What is the purpose/advantage of a 3-step zig zag that I see on some of the machines I'm seeing?
The three step zig zag is a good and strong stitch often used to hold multiple layers together. Very popular among sail maker's.
Thank you for your personal reply. I have subscribed and will continue to watch your content because you are very good at what you do.
Also . . . . . I REALLY want one of those Consew 206RB machines that you featured earlier. Seriously.

Thanks, but you didn’t show us how to check the bobbin tension for the better sewing, try again pls.
Thanks

Ok my daughter and I got the bobbin clicked in what next? You stopped the video there? We inherited it from a family member who passed away. Is there another video we can watch to finish the steps? Thanks in advance. Marcos and Daisy.
Maybe this is what you mean. ruclips.net/video/35zxtSRFXwQ/видео.html
@@AlexanderDyer thanks we got it figured out.
