    I love the idea. Do you put them out in the spring and reload as needed throughout the summer?

    • @NBWildman
      @NBWildman  4 года назад

      no, i start with only my mineral in the spring (home made deer cane) i put this out once they loose interest in the mineral, so like mid August and then probably one more time just before i wanna hunt a spot

    2 Questions. First. Can you freeze these to place in the woods later? Secondly. Ever have one crumble or break screwing it in? Great channel. U got my subscription. God Bless

      hey, great thanks for the sub, you can freeze it but you need to thaw it all the way before trying to screw it in, and yes I have had them break from time to time

    Hey few questions, what's a crack boil mean? And why can't you use a fresh cut stump, it won't absorb like an old stump?

    • @NBWildman
      @NBWildman  4 года назад +2

      crack boil is just a term used in candy making, it means it has reached the temperature that when it cools it will be solid and able to crack. and yes, a fresh stump still has resin in it and the molasses doesn't absorb as well. keep in mind there are no rules and you can try whatever suits you,

    I can use it because of them stupid bear....later in the season is awsome !

      @NBWildman  4 года назад

      yea, bears are an issue here as well, but i do find that these will last as they soak into the stump, the bears seem to bugger off

    What kind of molasses do you use? As there are many kinds of molasses in market. So not sure which one to select?

    • @NBWildman
      @NBWildman  3 года назад +1

      I just used generic fancy molasses from the grocery store for this, but i'm sure most kinds would work
