Hey Guys!
Make sure you click the bell that is right by the subscribe button to be notified when i post new videos!
RUclips has changed their algorithm and now being subscribed wont notify you every time, they choose only "viral " videos to be recommended and noticed.
So If you don't want to miss any of my videos, make sure you click that notification bell !
Thank you for watching :)
I believe the softness on your photos that you're mentioning is due the fact that you took the photos whiteout a lens hood! Light was coming directly into your lens and its dispersion takes away definition of the images!
"If you guys never shot a film, please try it out" you just made me feel sooooooo olddddd😩, it is all I had film when I started photo
This black and white work is breathtaking. I literally had to stop what I was doing and just appreciate your work.
thank you so much :)
One of the best photo-shoot that was done with the Mamiya TLR that I have seen on RUclips. Thanks for sharing!!
Thank you so much :)
Wow. These photos are stunning! There's something special about film.
ah so gorgeous! I fell in love with film first before getting into digital photography, and black and white film portraits will always have my heart
Perfect photographer, model & wardrobe combo! These photos are stunning Irene :)

It's great seeing you being really enthusiastic about using film, the results you got were stunning and you used the square format beautifully with excellent compositions.
Absolutely amazing work!
Beautiful B&W cinematography at the beginning. The use of light was beyond fabulous. I love the TLR.
Dear Irene. Your Photos are absolutely fantastic. It really looks like the old times. She ist s wonderful woman in front of the camera. Wow.
I love how raw it is! They came out great! Can't wait to see more
thank you :)
Beautiful! You've inspired me to dig out my C330.
I love that you're now shooting more film stuff!
That looked like so much fun, great job Irene
Incredible Irene. What an inspiration you are! ❤❤❤
Bought a C33 new in April 1968. In June, 1968 I bought a new MGB, red. Still have the Mamiya and use it regularly.
Film Is Not Dead! Beautiful classic shots. BTW the Pentax 6x7 is boss.
Amazing! Remarkably conveyed atmosphere
Yayyy!!! Another vid on film!! Loved your other one and actually makes me wanna buy a film camera to try it out myself! Keep up with the great work!!
I am living for these film photos!! 😍😍😍

Love the music...so nice vintave and chilling and smooth...perfect background for the topic in this video.
Gorgeous photos!
Wow! Wow! Wow! Stunning! Thanks for sharing!
thank you for watching!!
It's an amazing photos!
Dear Irene... wow ... all those photos are awesome... great work... you really had fun !
Love it! I own a Mamiya C33 with a 80mm lens. I think using it with a tripod may ease the pain of focusing since this camera is too heavy for hand-held shooting. And the very shallow depth of filed of medium format may also account for the blurry problem. In practise, I won't use a shutter speed slower than 1/60 in hand-held conditions (most pictures that I have taken with a shutter speed slower than 1/60 are blurry). Anyway, love your photos!
Love this video. Style of the shots are incredible. Awesome to see that you can do it all. Might have to try film soon. 👍🏻
I wish my town still have film developers.I would totally love to shoot film.Thank you for sharing your lovely work.
Amazing video as always! 😊
There is just something magical with medium format film images that is so different from my medium format digital. I love the square format. You have some stunning shots here. I need to dust off my Hasselblad and get some film through it.
Beautiful Photos !
Finally found a photographer RUclips channel that’s informative and much more than gear envy. Amazing photos too. Sub’d.
I really like your style. Nice images with a magnificent camera.
Beautiful pics Irene! You can find film cameras super cheap these days. Look for a Hasselblad for a beautiful square format or a Mamiya RZ67 or 645 format. 67 is more rectangular in shape and is a big neg, get an 80mm lens and a 180mm is great for portraits. The 645 is more like a 35mm, just a little larger. Ask your friend about what to look for when buying an older camera and lens. Also, back in the day, it was sometimes desired not to be tack sharp, because it evoked emotion...
Another wonderful well thought out theme with camera, film, location, model and fashion. I work one block from your first park location.
Woaw... your pictures fascinate me 😍, these one are my favorite because of the vintage atmosphere... Congratulation, you are so talented ! 😍
Excellent shoot.
Came out beautiful!!
Nice video. I started out with film, so it's good to see some new work. Definitely like the B&W shots and the vintage fell to the shoot.
woah i got excited while watching this one really wanna shoot on film now
superb...just superb
Excellent! I need one of those cameras
Beautiful work Irene! I have a 6x6 camera and love playing with symmetry and composition.
Hi Irene. Just wanted to say what a wonderful, inspirational video this was to watch. Thank you.

Would have love to see some portraits of Emma with the red dress and the yellow car...can't wait!
Thanks for sharing!!!
Perfect 👌 😍😍
Amazing shots 😍😍
That brings back memories of film... I have two 2-1/4 film cameras and I never use them. I think I need to dust them off and take them out for a weekend of nostalgic fun! But I’ll tell you, they were not so much fun back in the day, shooting a wedding and you have ‘one chance’ to get it right, but you have no preview screen to check. Hahaha
wowwww
LOVE IT
Such beautiful pictures!!! :-)
Loved it :-)
Re focus, one thing I learned from a book called “Rolleiflex Photography “, by the 1950’s German photographer Fritz Heinle, is that having a neck strap on a TLR can be used to stabilize camera shake simply by applying some tension to it as you click.
I really liked your video using the C330 and the lovely images you make.
Another great video. Nice collaboration of talent. Always a pleasure to see the funny and cool Photo Fiend. A very nice trio of serious film hardware. Now that I see the lovely rendering in B&W possible, I wonder if I should try a few rolls myself. I have a growing pile of 35mm film bodies from Pentax, Mamiya, Fujica, and Olympus, from purchasing vintage lenses for my digital body. I was prepared to throw them away! It's been decades since shooting with film!
Well, it proves that it's not the camera but the photographer, as the film photos are as dreamy beautiful as your digital images. You eye for aesthetic feminine beauty and style is remarkable.
Your choice of models never cease to awe me. They are all so beautiful and your style is so flattering. That woman's touch is so evident in the romantic atmosphere of each portrait.
thank you so much!
I love film! It's sooo cool!!! All the adults in my life except my photo teacher thinks I'm crazy for trying to shoot it
I learned on film - used to do my own developing too. Miss it!
Wonderful, Irene!
It looks so hard shooting film, but the results are just gorgeous!!
It is honestly not that complicated once you figure it out :)
As long as you can operate a digital camera in manual exposure mode, you should be fine with film equipment. If you want to give it a try, you could start with negative film which is easier to work with than slide film due to it's wide exposure latitude. And deliberately overexpose it which gives significantly better results than underexposing it. Although most negative films are fairly generous in that regard, Ive heard Kodak Ektar 100 is an exception - apparently, it's best to expose that particular film at it's box speed so for sure, that one would be less forgiving. And if you want to try slide film, you can bracket your exposures in half stops.
I have a Bronica SQ-a, a Mamiya C22, and a Mamiya C220. My favorites are the Mamiyas though the Bronica allows me to change film types on the fly with the extra 3 backs I have for it. When I used to shoot professionally the C220 was my only medium format camera and it never let me down. I also like the TLR style cameras for studio and wedding work. Being able to see the subject when the flask goes off is nice. You can catch things like closed eyes and other things that love to happen during that moment of exposure.
Oh boy, love this video and the shots that you got from it. The square format is a favorite of mine. I have a Yashica D TLR, it is one of my favorite go to MF cameras because it's so small and light. Thanks for making this!
Stop worrying about parralax! It is insignificant after about 4!5ft (1,5~1,75m). Lift camera up, about 2inches 50mm up!
Nice!!
Lovely Images!
i just finished to watch the video and Again.. great job. sincerely.
Excellent thanks
What a good work congratulations Irene and what a pretty model I am a colegue from ARGENTINA
Excellent job ✨☺️
I shot medium format for years the key to sharp images is a big tripod even for portraits
I will try the tripod next time, hopefully that helps, thanks!
at 4:27 just woaw... great job
1965...my birth year too. Great video! I was curious about what type of film stock you were using that day. Beautiful work. Congrats.
Irene, you posted a vid about Photography references sometime ago. I looked up ""negative feedback" and I was totally shocked with the stuff their. Also I totally agree with you getting a medium format camera. Just something about the look of it . I absolutely love this stuff 💯💯💯
Btw Awesome sound track 😎
Love this I am thinking of buying a tlr camera, and the mamiya series is definitely a sweet little camera. The shots look awesome but would love to have seen some colour images as the models eyes are just so beautiful. Love your work, thank you and please do more shoots on film. 👍
I started out in film. seeing this really makes me want to dust off all my old cameras and go back. i remember how exciting it was waiting to get all your blurry underexposed pictures back. just kidding that only happened once..i swear... nice work!
Yay!! Mamiya c33 !! Started shooting with it my selfe, just finished first roll looking forward to see results. I am using old school light metter from same year so it will be interesting to see if I nailed it :) would be great to hear as advice about metter get light !
Irene, so glad you did this! Especially with the Mamiya C33. I learned photography with this very same model. All of your work is absolutely stellar and I wish continued success. Your models and your family are beautiful and are of average model size, but I agree with Apri Yani (from 3 weeks ago). I If I were to make another request as well, I want to know how you would shoot a male model.
