Problem is ronaldo is a winger and only aspect of his game worthy of standing in between to two center backs and occupying penalty bo is his finishing which isnt there because his timing is off. You see a striker like morata dragging CB's out of box for yamal and williams but ronaldo doesnt have the legs or desire to do those little things. Things required of a strker for team to be successful. Ronaldo is an all time great he will be able to convert as long as hes alive like any professional but the running and little things required of a striker to be successful as a team in modern football he doesn't do. He wont run in behind CBs and isnt a threat to. He cant get on any crosses despite that the team has forfeited their own chances and crossed to him more than any other team in tournament by a silly margin without a threat in air.
Hes taking all free kicks when he should be in box trying to get head on it where he would actuallly have a chance to score instead he takes them and isnt a threat to play into box and isnt a threat to score. So Bruno hasn't scored a free kick goal since 2021. Vitinha, Leao, Bernardo Silva have all never scored a free kick. Ronaldo scored a few free kick goals during qualifying, and several this year with Al Nassr. Has anyone ever thought maybe, just maybe he's actually the best free kick taker on this team still?
