nobody is saying he not a nice guy but it was not right of him to do the interview. He plays for Manchester United and to be fair it was them who gave him his stage in the first place. He should have much more respect for the club even if he does not like the manager. And all he is really moaning about is not being named in the starting eleven. So many great players at Manchester United it should not be a guarantee that Ronaldo starts. He is undoubtedly one of the greatest players ever but he is a bit older now so if the manager wants to start with younger players like Marcus Rashford it should not be seen as disrespectful to Ronaldo. It has always been the way that older players no matter their greatness eventually become used less and less

@@Ayush-v2e6n Yeah fr, history gonna gloat and gloat over messi and glorify him, and even tho I respect messi, as a ronaldo fan i know that history is gonna hate him despite all he's done for the game
This whole interview was wrong. HIs take on his significance on the United team was also wrong. Wheres the apology for that? Congrats on the transfer to the league no one knows the name of ROFL
I've spent 1 hour and 30 minutes waiting for some giant bombshell. Never came. What I saw was class and dignity from a true champion. He was truthful and sincere. He clearly deserves respect, on and off the field. Now I see why my sons have been HUGE Ronaldo fans since they were teens. Their dream has always been to meet him and see him play. Now I understand why. Doesn't matter where he plays, he'll always have super fans in our family.
What about when he said it was an insult to come on for 3 minutes against spurs? Who does he think he is? Big diddy, needs to get over himself and man up
Ronaldo is bigger than man utd,man utd doesn’t deserve him how can you criticize a man he help the club throughout last season, the players weren’t in form he was the only player who carry the club along throughout last season and if not for his goals man utd won’t be playing Europa cup,he’s bigger than the club and the coach in terms of everything
@@michaelstephen5155 No he's not. No player is bigger than the club, ever. Ronaldo became a great at Manchester United, through his own hard work and tenacity, but also through the stewardship of Sir Alex Ferguson. Ronaldo has spat on the legacy of SAF by purposefully undermining United's current manager. He is a legend of football, but if you can't see he's acting like a spoilt brat who can't accept he no longer has the pace to play at the top level, you're incredibly deluded. This is from someone who's watched every match he's played since rejoining Man U. Something I doubt most of his deluded fanboys have done.
As a Messi fan, ronaldo is so well spoken, humble, and honest. It's an honour listening to him speak. Piers also does an excellent job allowing him to speak and you can tell ronaldo trusted piers and used this opportunity to air his grievances. Great interview !
@@sjappiyah4071 just pointing out a couple of things: - When responding about Rooney he brought up his looks, how unnecessary and rude was that - Claimed Ten Haag disrespected him, where is the proof of that? He felt insulted he's benched just because he's Ronaldo?
@Elma Fetahović still doesn't negate the fact that he said dumb things that a true professional shouldn't have said. Bringing up Rooney's looks? Also, Ten Haag did not disrespect Ronaldo, watch Ten Haag's interviews, you'd see he was defending Ronaldo until he just ran off after being subbed during the Tottenham game.

When he spoke about the death about his child you could see it was hard for him to gather words, Ronaldo is such a strong man god bless him and his family
To be asked the question 'how did it feel to lose a child' that's such a shit question! We know how he feels, he feels the same as anyone else would feel.......ask questions that I can't easily relate to!
cristiano was always the player i looked up to most, because my high school girlfriend who was a deadly striker herself loved him. he simply commands respect. i feel truly blessed to get to witness it in my lifetime.
"Football has changed over the last 2 years and it's full of business now. The passion for the game is still there, but..!"- Ronaldo 😌 You are a legend and always will be. The hardwork you put in and the moments on the world stage is phenomenal.
Cristiano Ronaldo’s interview with Piers Morgan is fantastic. Ronaldo’s candor, heart, knowledge, vulnerability, professionalism, coupled with his casual confidence as he speaks English without withholding his Portuguese essence are all breathtaking. He is refreshingly human. I have not watched an interview like this with anyone of his world-renowned status.
Well he is Portuguese and played most of career in Spain so he’s probably speaking Spanish and Portuguese all the time so he has a Spanish accent big surprise if u learnt Spanish I’d probably have an accent to
I agree with you. He's so real and genuine, with important values, he deserves the success he has had because where there is all that success, there is also hard work.
He's a confident golden icon for boys who want something. Always inspires people the right way, sacrificed so much. Tells the younger generation to stay healthy and work hard, doesn't advertise for unhealthy profitable brands. And no wonder people and media target him, of course they get a lot of attention as soon as they use his name. I love Cristiano Ronaldo, a self made man from Madeira who lives by what he preaches. Respect. Always
The clubs he has been with have treated him very well by what i can tell. That includes Man U. He is basically unable to accept that at the age of 37 he is not guaranteed a place in the starting 11 and that he might be called upon as a substitute in the last 5 minutes. What an utter rich blessed arse. From Madeira
@@marksmarsh2039 then why man utd sign him? You think the whole world still want to talk about before he rejoined? Thank you Ronaldo man utd is at top level

Yup. I have two sons: one loves Messi, the other loves CR7. They’re always arguing about who is best. I tell them to sit back and realize how lucky they are to be alive to watch Messi and Ronaldo play football.

He's a very special human being, he has one of the strongest minds I have ever listened to, an incredible role model for children across the globe. I remember a little boy running up to him and a security guard trying to stop him and Christiano said to the SC, let him come and signed his shirt and shared a few kind words with him, he has time for everyone, another time I remember a little boy had specially learned Portugese to do an interview with CR and he was getting some words wrong and the audience were laughing at him and CR politely told them to shut up and listen. TOP GUY!! I don't really like football, however I love and follow CR and watch every interview he does, the kindness and straight talking is a must watch. ❤
Can we talk about how he educated himself through the years, i remember when he couldn’t speak any english whatsoever. Not just a great player but also a great human being trying to improve every aspect of himself.
As a fan of his, I think He should have kept his mouth shut, but I was genuinely impressed with how much better his English is, and he did that while in Spain and Italy. Very Formosa.

CR seems like a genuine and caring individual, in my opinion. He was just sharing his experiences and being honest, not bad mouthing anyone. He really does set a good example and is a role model for everyone. I could definitely see him as a fantastic coach after he retires. CR7, the BEST! And great interview, Piers Morgan!

😂😂😂 He’s made a joke out of himself by saying one thing and doing exactly opposite. He said it wasn’t about money but passion and so he didn’t join Saudi Arabian club. 1 month later: Ronaldo joins Al-Nassr. What a hypocrite

Sometimes, separations are good because they bring light! Thanks to Pers Morgan for this great interview.
What's courageous about him? He lied about the City move being close as City said it was never close just after this interview, he said the club didn't support him and he "felt" they didn't believe him when his child was ill yet thanked them at the time for their support, he also says he called the owners out for the fans so why didn't he do it last season when he was playing and scoring more? Not a word came from him but suddenly this season when he is on the bench and annoyed he comes out and goes on about the stadium and structure and sauna. Was it better last season? He did this for himself, he doesn't care about the fans in the slightest!!
This interview has aged very well. Where are those fans that had bad things to say about our LEGEND? Everything he said about the club and the manager has now been proven. He was always right and instead of fans believing him, they batterred him, apologies Cr7.

Never watched any of his interviews, but this one was a great interview from Cristiano. He spoke what was on his mind without sugarcoating. This coming from a Messi's fan. Great hosting from Piers Morgan as well. Thank you. 🙏
I've always been on the Messi side of the "G.O.A.T." debate. That being said, this interview gave me a TON of respect for Ronaldo. He is simply saying what he experienced and how he feels. A person can never be "wrong" for what they feel. Just because you may not feel the same, doesn't mean it's "wrong."
I'm here in 2024 listening to the GOAT speaking. He's full of respect, kindness, and confidence. The bully of the big boys plays football, but records follow him all the days of his professional football. This GREAT MAN is just AMAZING! The player of the century!
Was never a Ronaldo fan, but I became one after this interview. The world is so messed up and there are plenty more serious problems in the world than some drama between a super rich and famous player and his team…. However, what he is feeling is very similar to what many everyday hard working people that take a lot of pride in what they do go through. He’s real for doing this and calling it like it is. Good for him. Good luck to CR7* hope he meets Messi for the final!
What a great person, a father, and a football player. He works for change, surrounds himself with people who attach to his energy to perform the best, be the best, learn and change things to the best not just for himself, for the fans. That's who we call people's chamb. That is really hard to do, or be, people who make history are the ones who make the changes and not think about themselves only, not anyone can have that kind of mindset, courage, confidence to do it. It was great interview to know Cristiano Ronaldo closely. He has improved his English and hopefully he inspires the next generations once he retire sadly.. and happily with all the things he did for football and for that we say Thank you!

All the managers who coached Ronaldo with likes of Zidane, SAF, Mourinho, Anceloti, Allegri, Santos have maximum respect for him and have spoken openly about the player’s discipline, professionalism and commitment towards the game, the manager & his teammates. If Erik Ten Hag is an exception then remember Ronaldo isn't the problem.
Ronaldo always seems incredibly honest, genuine,he's real and still respectful &humble, maybe that's why given at the stage he is he's still relatable,I see Piers tries to put words in his mouth at times but Cristiano is intelligent even though eng isn't his strongest point he's great at expressing himself clearly. Would love to hear more about his discipline his mentality and his drive to be at the top of such a physically demanding sport for such a long time,he's amazing.
I love Cristiano, he is such a good guy, such a good person, such an amazing inspiration and I love Piers too. He is a great judge of character. So happy to see both of them together.
Thank you Piers for giving us this interview with this terrific man Cristiano Ronaldo. Cristiano's life story is terrific. May God continue to bless him, his wife and their blessed children.

Wow what a great interview.. really respect his professionalism and the way he carries himself with so much confidence.. younger generation should learn from this interview.. Cristiano has a good way of viewing life
Sure does. See a man brutally honest; respectful. "Coming home" became a nightmare. Voiced his thoughts & was punished for it. Bad timing; but he's was proven right.
I am 85 years old and you inspire me. The way you spoil your eldest also discipline him. The Lord put you on earth to be an example for everyone. Fantastic how you overcame the sadness. I also trust that you can always show the world how fair you are too. i just wish you all the best for the future. You do have a lovely family.
as a huge Messi fan i say this without a doubt, i am blessed to have witnessed both Ronaldo and Messi i respect them equally and i really cant split their play what a time to be alive. we will miss both of these two GOATS.🐐🐐
See that's part of the problem right there. The fact that you would have to say that "as huge Messi fan" as if you would automatically hate Ronaldo. You can like one and the other simultaneously. People have to stop saying that, it pisses me off. It's really the same with the Lebron and Jordan debate. I guess if someone thinks Lebron is the GOAT then they automatically hate MJ and vice versa. Me personally, I'm a Real Madrid fan but Andres Iniesta is one of my favorite players ever.
Same as here as Ronaldo's fans. They both are incredible.the football was amazing when they were in LALIGA.THE GOATs played great to beat each other.Fantastic. I love Ronaldo to the bone with everything he did,he does, his hard work and mentality and his principle (a lot I cant mention them all) amazed by Messi talent.
The most calm, honest, and down to earth I've ever seen. Talks all about respect! The story about him n MU are mind blowing to believe. What a great sportsman CR7!
As a young footballer, to have the greatest player of all time and to not care, to not observe everything he does, and to not ask for advice... Unbelievable! Youngsters don't seem to understand that mentors like that don't grow on trees. What the world has come to... Excellent points he made throughout. Nothing but respect for him! Hats off!

Yea cause throwing multiple tempor tantrums as a fully grown man just because he's past his prime and not good enough to start every game of the season any more is leading a great example for young people 🤣 what a top tier role model
How is he being respectful? Everything he ever says is about himself. Not the club. So he felt disrespected…. And? If he loved Man U he would have supported the club. Instead he takes it personal because he is insecure.
I’m a Messi fan and an Argentina fan since childhood and it’s impossible not to be a fan of Cristiano Ronaldo. I’ll be very sad when he retires. I hope he plays one more World Cup. What an incredible player. Such an inspiration he is - epitome of what discipline and dedication can do to a persons life. Wish you the best, Cristiano!
Retired. I’m not the biggest fan of messi, he was a mash, Ronaldo until know is the people champions remember That not messi. The records always follow him. Humble and everybody love him
This is so painful to watch.I can't even imagine how they must be feeling losing a member of a family. This interview is so honest and vulnerable and just showing what kind of a person Cristiano is. I am not always agree with Piers but this interview was great because He brought the conversation naturally and Cristiano able to pour of his emotions and experiences. It's amazing and extraordinary how Cristiano's mentality truly help him to get through everything. Long live CR7, I am proud to be your fans. You have set a great example to me
@@hymen2393 it is painful to watch when you watch this with empathy. For someone who lost family member a few months ago and talk about it publicly like Cristiano, it wasn't easy.
Ronaldo was correct. He said Man U will struggle to be on top for 2 to 3 years during this interview and since he was unceremoniously kicked out of the club because of this interview, Man U has struggled to match Man City, Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea
He’s damned when he doesn’t give interviews and then criticised when he does. This is a rare insight into Cristiano where he’s been very open and spoke his mind. That’s to be enjoyed and applauded.

I understand more and more why he did this interview. Seeing what’s happening over at PSG with how some of the players are being treated is a disgrace. I get his need to set the record straight. It’s hard to see great players being treated badly. I’m a Messi fan btw, but these guys deserve to be treated with respect. The parts about the press were especially timely.
When he talks about generational change it reminds me when Kobe spoke in the same manner about his younger teammates. He was the first one in and last to leave. The newer guys would show up late, stay shorter than the seasoned ones and leave. It definitely is interesting how much Ronaldo’s experience is similar to Kobe’s. These players are rare nowadays.
Lovely to see this genuine, emotionally open and honest football genius! This world would be a better place if we had more personalities like him. Ah, and if there were less people who can’t accept the constructive criticism. Bravo, Sir Morgan-what a great interviewer you are!
This man is 37, he's a charismatic leader and exhibits leadership everywhere he goes and Is just honest with what he does and says. He's made millions and can choose to retire whenever he wants to he could have chosen any other life he wanted but he's a humble down to earth person who knows the value of feelings and money coming from a harsh upbringing. Huge respect for him and there will be comments saying "being compassionate and empathetic is just how every normal human being is" well yeah ask yourself that again, how many famous personalities with this much success actually REMAIN as normal humans after that period of fame and success. Ronaldo is a legend and he's going to go down as one of the best players to have touched the ball. Love from India
I see nothing wrong with this interview, a grown man airing his thoughts out with remorse and respect. He is a great guy with a great huge heart 👑
nobody is saying he not a nice guy but it was not right of him to do the interview.

A very tough moment in time indeed.
Good to see him in a better space nowadays with his new club, a fresh start
Thank God I took the time to watch this Interview
What a honest, straight forward man. Speaking his heart out.
Watched this after the world cup and all I can say is this man here deserves respect. Viva CR7 🐐❤️
ronaldo will return to europe this year hopefully. he will be in wc 2026 (if he is in good form and good shape)

i think you have forgotten what's the difference between west ham and man utd is
I have not always been a fan of Ronaldo, but I see how honest, courageous and relatable he is.
Piers Morgan's boss, Rupert Murdoch, rapes and kills kids on Epstein's Jet. When people work this out, they will bring back a brutal version of hanging just for him.
He speaks his mind good to be transparent honest good guy great with integrity proud of him 2 feet in the ground fantastic ♥️🇵🇭🇺🇸
From what happened with Portugal team, I don't think he's good leader
Respect for a man who speaks the truth. No problem in telling the truth rather than sweeping it under the rug.
Absolutely amazing interview. Well worth the time watching.
